Abstract

Early childhood is at a stage of rapid development that includes various aspects, such as physical, cognitive, emotional, and social. In this period of growth, their interests and talents become two fundamental elements that can be directed to maximize their potential. Interest refers to a child's propensity for a particular activity, while talent reflects an innate ability that can develop through practice and environmental support. One of the most efficient methods to optimize this exploration process is through educational games. Educational games in addition to acting as a means of entertainment, this game also functions as a learning tool that encourages creativity, critical thinking skills, social interaction, and the development of children's motor skills. The purpose of this article is to explore how educational games can be a medium for exploring early childhood interests and talents, based on theoretical analysis and the latest research studies. This study uses a qualitative method by reviewing relevant literature. This research resulted in the finding that educational play can provide great benefits in facilitating children's development by creating a fun, interactive, and holistic learning experience.

Abstract

The five daily prayers are the mahdhah worship which is the pillar of the Islamic religion. Apart from being a form of devotion to Allah SWT, prayer also has a deep spiritual dimension. Through prayer, a Muslim can communicate directly with Allah, ask for forgiveness, and achieve peace of mind. Prayer also functions as a means to cleanse the heart of despicable traits and instill noble moral values. Psychologically, prayer can have a positive effect on mental health, such as reducing stress and increasing feelings of optimism. The five daily prayers not only have an individual dimension, but also a social dimension. When Muslims gather in the mosque to perform congregational prayers, they build ukhuwah Islamiyah and strengthen ties of brotherhood. Prayer is also a means of fostering a sense of solidarity and concern for others. In the context of a pluralistic society, prayer can become the identity and unification of Muslims. The history of the five daily prayers has long and deep roots. The command to pray was first given to the Prophet Muhammad SAW in Hira Cave. Since then, prayer has become a very important act of worship in Islam. Throughout history, prayer has undergone various developments and adaptations, but its essence and purpose remain the same, namely as a form of self-servation to Allah SWT. In the context of modern life, the implementation of the five daily prayers is often faced with various challenges, such as busy work, lifestyle demands, and foreign cultural influences. Therefore, it is important to continue to explore the meaning and values ??of prayer and look for ways to perform prayer better in the midst of modernity.

Abstract

The application of Educational Play Tools (APE) plays a significant role in the development of early childhood, especially in terms of cognitive, social-emotional, and motoric skills. However, the implementation of APE faces several challenges, including disparities in access, limited creativity among educators, and a lack of adequate training. This study aims to explore the gaps and challenges in the application of APE, identifying factors that hinder its optimal use in early childhood education. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews with educators, observations in early childhood education settings, and document analysis of APE-related programs. The study finds that there is a significant gap between the ideal application of APE and its current use, largely due to inadequate resources, a lack of teacher competence, and limited innovation in the development of APE. Additionally, socio-cultural factors, such as community support and local context, play a crucial role in the effectiveness of APE. The study suggests that improving teacher training, promoting the use of local materials, and leveraging technology in the development of APE can help bridge these gaps. Moreover, collaboration among stakeholders, including government, educators, and the community, is essential for fostering an environment conducive to the optimal use of APE in early childhood education. This research highlights the need for targeted interventions to address these challenges and improve the quality of early childhood education through better implementation of APE.

Abstract

This study explores the crucial role of parents and the family environment in shaping children's character from an early age, particularly through the integration of Islamic values. Many parents lack an understanding of child psychological development and often underestimate the importance of early education, delegating the responsibility to others. However, early childhood is a critical period for personality and moral development. Using a literature review method, this research emphasizes the necessity of a holistic and continuous character-building approach, involving family education, school, and extracurricular activities. Core Islamic principles tauhid (monotheism), akhlaq (noble character), and obedience serve as the foundation for developing strong moral character. Effective character education combines habituation, instruction, and mentoring, with parental role-modeling as a key factor. Early and consistent character education fosters children who are spiritually intelligent, morally upright, and socially responsible. Instilling positive values within the family and surrounding environment forms the essential groundwork for raising individuals with strong moral integrity and social resilience.
