Abstract

Hijab is an obligation commanded by Allah which is clearly explained in the Qur'an. Judging from the use of the Hijab as the purpose of covering the genitals will affect the religious behavior of women. The obligation to wear the hijab for Muslim women should be improved and it is necessary to deepen the true meaning of the hijab for Muslim women in its implementation in everyday life. Muslim women should pay more attention to, improve and exemplify the use of the hijab based on noble behavior and morals. In this way, the hijab does not only speak of law but also relates to individual piety. Therefore, guidance, direction, examples and knowledge are needed for women so that they can implement the obligation to wear the hijab properly and consistently in its use, so that good morals and behavior will follow automatically.

Abstract

SDI Asy-Syuhada' is a basic educational institution under the auspices of the ta'mir of the Jami' Asy-Syuhada' Pamekasan mosque. As a strategic location near the mosque, SDI Asy-Syuhada' takes advantage of this situation in order to form students who are religious and love the mosque. The aim of this research is to find out the strategies of school principals and teachers in forming students who are religious and love mosques. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Researchers go directly into the field to look for the data needed according to the object being studied. The results of this research are that: 1) The religious strategy is carried out with a view of the Prophet and is followed by the description made by the teacher himself and by making a habit as a coach that what has been learned can be carried out in everyday life. 2) the strategy to love the mosque, the program created is midday prayers in congregation and cleaning the mosque environment. The results of the research can be a reference for educators or educational institutions who have the same desires and targets by implementing the same strategy in creating students who are religious and love mosques.

Abstract

The no-repeat-grade policy in Indonesia aims to enhance accessibility and equality regarding education for students in primary schools, by offering opportunities for students to continue to move up even if their academic grades do not meet the set standards. This study aims to analyze the impact of the policy on student learning motivation through literature review. Using the library research method, this study collects and analyzes literature related to policies without leaving the classroom and learning motivation theory. The results of the study show that this policy has double implications for student learning motivation. On the one hand, students feel safer and less stressed by the threat of failure, which can increase their intrinsic motivation. However, on the other hand, this policy has the potential to reduce extrinsic motivation, as students no longer feel threatened by exams or failures that affect their graduation. This decrease in external motivation can have an impact on the quality of long-term learning. Therefore, to maintain students’ motivation to learn, there needs to be adjustments in teaching methods and the role and support of parents and teachers in creating challenges that remain relevant. This research contributes to understanding the impact of the policy without leaving the classroom on students’ learning motivation, as well as recommendations for more effective policy implementation.

Abstract

Pan-Islamism is an ideological movement that emerged as a reaction to colonialism, political fragmentation, and modernization, with the aim of uniting Muslims throughout the world. In the 20th century, Pan-Islamism exerted a significant influence in West Java, particularly through the dissemination of Pan-Islamic values through Islamic boarding schools and madrasahs. This study aims to understand how the ideology of pan-Islamism has been integrated into the education system in West Java and its impact on the formation of religious and social identity of the Muslim community. By using a qualitative approach method through library research, looking for answers in various documents, articles, related literature. As a result, it has been concluded that the ideology of pan-Islamism has provided an impetus for the renewal of the Islamic education system in West Java, that the ideology of pan-Islamism not only expands their curriculum, but also gives rise to global unity of Muslims, strengthens the position of the Muslim network, and renews teaching methods. Pesantren such as Persis are real examples of how pan-Islamist principles can be applied in education to produce a generation of Muslims who are knowledgeable in religion and common sense. This study enhances the understanding of how Pan-Islamism influences West Javanese education and encourages Muslims there to unite. These findings are very important for further research on how educational reform and religious ideology correlate in the history of Indonesian Islam.

Abstract

Education the current era increasingly recognizes Project-Based Learning (PBL) as an innovative approach to enhance student engagement and the relevance of learning. This research aims to explore the integration of PBL in Islamic Religious Education, focusing on the strategies employed, challenges faced, and the effectiveness of this approach. The study uses a mixed methods approach, with a quasi-experimental design and case studies involving 50 students and 5 teachers from two secondary schools. The results indicate that the implementation of PBL enhances students' understanding of Islamic religious material by an average of 17.5 points on the post-test scores. Additionally, students reported improvements in their motivation to learn, active engagement, and collaboration skills. Despite these positive outcomes, the research also identifies challenges in implementation, such as teacher readiness, limitations in resources, and time management. This study provides practical insights into the integration of PBL in the curriculum of Islamic religious education and its benefits in creating a more meaningful learning experience, aiming to serve as a reference for teachers and policymakers.

Abstract

Arabic language learning often experiences obstacles, especially in understanding how students’ cognitive and affective aspects affect their ability to acquire, produce, and understand the language. This indicates the need to apply a multidisciplinary approach that can overcome these challenges. This study aims to examine the role of psycholinguistics in the development of Arabic language learning methods, focusing on students’ cognitive and affective aspects. The research approach used is Systematic Review (SR), by analyzing relevant articles from journals indexed through Google Scholar. The results of the study indicate that the application of psycholinguistics plays a crucial role in the development of Arabic language learning by understanding students’ learning processes and designing appropriate curricula and methods. Approaches such as Task-Based Learning (TBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and Generative Transformative help create more active, communicative, and applicable learning according to students’ needs. In addition, linguistic theories such as structuralism, transformative-generative, and psycholinguistic-based balaghah enable more effective and relevant Arabic language teaching to students’ characteristics and cognitive development.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the values ​​of children's character education in the book Ayyuha Al-Walad by Imam Al-Ghazali which is presented in advice, as well as describe and analyze its relevance in the midst of modernization of education. There are many problems regarding the moral degradation or character of children today, one of which is caused by technological developments that are difficult to compete with. Based on the explanation above, the writer formulates the problem 1) the concept of character education from Imam Al-Ghazali's perspective in the book of Ayyuha Al-Walad 2) the relevance of character education from the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali in the book of Ayyuha Al-Walad amid the modernization of education. The data presented is sourced from the book Ayyuha Al-Walad . In addition, it is also supported by the work of Imam Al-Ghazali regarding the character of children.

Abstract

Through education, science is expected to be able to provide good and significant changes to human life. In realizing this, Muslim scholars are trying to develop established scientific theories in various fields based on the Islamic worldview. However, in the era of modernization and post-modernization, the Islamic scientific tradition is slowly losing the fundamental aspects of science, worldview and empistemology. In practice, epistemology is separate from theology, this separation is the impact of the secularization of science. Syed Naquib al-Attas is one of the contemporary Muslim scholars who initiated the Islamization of science as a response to the secularization of science, where he returned science to the Islamic scientific tradition. By using library research methods, furthermore, it is hoped that this research can elaborate on the concept of Islamization of science as an era of enlightenment (Aufklarung) developed by al-Attas became the basis of Islamic knowledge. This research finds that decolonialization of secular science is an important step in elaborating al-Attas towards the Islamization of contemporary science.

Abstract

This research aims to find out and explain the problems faced by Islamic education, especially in the current contemporary era. To find out, researchers reviewed the philosophical framework of ontology, epistemology and also axiology. Based on research conducted by researchers, it is known that from an ontological perspective, Islamic education must strengthen its philosophical foundation, then from an epistemological perspective, it is necessary to improve learning practices in Islamic education, including developing dynamic-progressive curriculum policies and developing learning methods that relevant. Then finally, in terms of axiology, actors in Islamic education must have the will to produce and produce students who are competitive. So based on this, there needs to be awareness to build an Islamic education model with an integrative paradigm.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the concept of school-based manajement (SBM) as an effort to create superior schools. This is done to build the school's existence in terms of institutional competitiveness and to realize the competitiveness of superior graduates. This research was conducted using research with a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis used after the data is collected is through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research conducted, it is hoped that the implementation of SBM can strengthen the participation of all parties in education manajement and create an inclusive, transparent and accountable educational environment in collaboration with all stakeholders. This collaboration aims to improve the quality of education, involving all parties involved and achieving a common goal in creating an SBM concept that is oriented towards superior school quality so that it has an impact on the competitiveness of the graduates produced.
