Abstract

The protection of banking customer data is increasingly important along with the advancement of information technology and the adoption of electronic banking services by the public. Although Law No. 8/1999 on Consumer Protection (UUPK) already exists, it only regulates consumer protection in general and does not specifically regulate the protection of banking customer data. In practice, the implementation of the GCPL is also limited due to the lack of sanctions for customer data breaches. Therefore, this paper examines the international standard personal data regulation that refers to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to understand more about customer data protection. This paper aims to analyze the legal protection provided to banking customer data in the context of Law No. 8/1999 on Consumer Protection. By examining the provisions of the law, this paper attempts to evaluate the extent to which the existing regulations have been able to effectively protect banking customer data. The analysis shows that although Law No. 9/1999 provides a legal basis for consumer protection in general, the specific protection of banking customer data still needs to be strengthened through more specific regulations and more effective law enforcement mechanisms

Abstract

Swimming 100 meters freestyle could increase heart rate and blood pressure because the body needs to meet oxygen intake. Excessive increase in pulse rate could be harmful to health. This study aims to determine the difference in heart rate after swimming 100 meters freestyle, without manipulation, and after sports massage. This research was conducted using quantitative research methods in the form of comparative methods. Research data was collected through interviews and observations. The population in this study were students of the class of 2023 swimming course at the State University of Surabaya. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling with inclusion criteria, namely 1) Male; 2) Age between 19-24 years; 3) 3 days before did not act eccentric exercise; 4) Carrying out a 100-meter freestyle swim at the research location to obtain 30 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and recording the results of pulse measurements using a pulse meter. The results show that there is a difference in the decrease in heart rate between the first measurement without manipulation and the second measurement with sports massage manipulation. The test results state that there is a significant effect between exercise massage and a decrease in the pulse rate of athletes swimming in the 100-meter freestyle with a P-value of 0.001.

Abstract

Lifebalance has emerged as the solution to attaining happiness and well-being, counteracting the various modern ailments that afflict us. Humans, from the traditional era to the digital age, engage in a multitude of leisure and recreational activities with the aim of maintaining a balanced life. Nevertheless, the pervasive influence of technology and the internet has had a notable effect on human behaviors, particularly with the prevalence of 'phubbing'—a tendency to prioritize gadgets over interpersonal interactions and engagement with the surrounding environment. This phenomenon is particularly pronounced among the internet generation (iGeneration). This article delves into the socio-cultural changes in society related to leisure and recreation patterns, considering the backdrop of high interaction with information technology. The focus is on the meaning, significance, and extent to which Denpasar City serves as a hub for leisure and recreation. The study employs a qualitative approach, situated in the capital city of Denpasar, Bali. The research's primary subject is the iGeneration, spanning from 1995 to 2010 and currently aged between 13 and 28. Data collection methods include participatory observation, documentation, questionnaires, and structured interviews. The results indicate that the iGeneration's leisure and recreation patterns in Denpasar City encompass sports activities, social interactions, beach visits, shopping, and movie-watching. The interpretation of recreation can be classified into four distinct categories: as a means of physical and spiritual rejuvenation, as self-indulgence, as a platform for learning and skill development, and as an element of work-life balance. It's worth noting that around 56.6% of iGeneration recreation activities are centralized in Denpasar City, highlighting a preference for urban activities compared to those in rural areas or outside the city.

Abstract

Public comm  unication is the activity of understanding, designing, implementing, and evaluating communication campaigns in the public interest. Over Dimension Over Load (ODOL) is a logistics vehicle that transports goods excessively. The government is serious about curbing ODOL trucks, including revising vehicle weighing regulations. However, there are still problems in the implementation of the zero ODOL policy, such as ODOL practices that still often occur and vehicles with dimensions that do not comply with regulations. This research focuses on the effectiveness of public communication management in socializing the zero ODOL policy on the Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi (Bocimi) toll road. Using survey, observation, and questionnaire methods, this study explores how effective the socialization of this policy is on the toll road. The results show that the effectiveness of public communication in socializing the zero ODOL policy on the Bocimi toll road is quite effective, but still at the low limit. Factors that make socialization less effective include inadequate human resource conditions, low awareness and legal understanding of freight transportation entrepreneurs towards the zero ODOL policy.
