Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of intelligence on the learning process among students. The background to this research is driven by the importance of understanding how students’ intelligence levels can influence their ability to receive and process learning material. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey design to collect data from 35 students in one middle school. The instruments used in this research were filling out questionnaires and interviews with teachers. The research results show that there is a significant positive influence between the level of intelligence and student learning outcomes. The higher the level of intelligence, the better the understanding and skills students gain in the learning process. The discussion shows that intelligence can increase cognitive capacity and problem-solving abilities, which are important in learning. These findings provide implications for the development of teaching methods that can be adjusted to students’ intelligence levels to maximize learning outcomes. This research suggests the need for teachers to use a variety of teaching methods, such as visual, audio, and kinesthetic, to suit students’ needs.

Abstract

Anxiety is an important factor that affects athlete performance before a match. This study aims to measure the level of anxiety of students of Basketball UKM Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa) before the match, and to explore the factors that influence it. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey approach to 12 Basketball UKM students. Data were collected through the Sport Anxiety Scale questionnaire which includes somatic, cognitive, motoric, and affective aspects. The results showed that most students had low levels of anxiety (75%), with somatic and affective anxiety more dominant in the low to very low categories. These findings highlight the need for anxiety management strategies, such as relaxation training and mental strengthening, to improve athlete performance and well-being. This study provides practical implications in the development of anxiety management programs for student athletes.

Abstract

Gender discrimination refers to the unfair treatment of individuals based on their sex and often occurs in various aspects of social life, including the workplace, education, and media. The film *The Queen's Gambit* portrays the journey of a female chess player, Beth Harmon, who faces numerous challenges in a male-dominated world. This article explores the theme of gender discrimination depicted in the film and analyzes how the representation of Beth Harmon reflects the real-life experiences of women in traditionally male-dominated fields. Using a critical analysis approach, this study identifies and evaluates the different forms of discrimination faced by Beth, both structural and interpersonal, and their impact on character development and narrative. Findings indicate that while Beth Harmon manages to overcome gender barriers to achieve success, the film still reflects and highlights the systemic challenges faced by women in competitive fields. This article contributes to the understanding of gender dynamics in the context of popular media and offers insights into how gender representation in film can influence public perceptions and social norms.

Abstract

Teachers now have a responsibility to help their students develop an understanding of character values ​​as part of the educational process. However, increasing attention to character values ​​does not seem to be an integrated component of ongoing teaching. The purpose of this study was to analyze the importance of characters such as discipline and responsibility in subject education. This study used a qualitative descriptive methodology. While the subjects used were teachers and grade III students in the SDN system. The method of collecting information through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. This research method uses observation notes, interviews, and questionnaires. Data reduction, analysis, and interpretation are three phases of descriptive data analysis. The results of the study showed that the value of discipline as measured by the indicator of compliance with school regulations was quite high. Meanwhile, you are very good at taking responsibility for your actions. Character and value education is very important during the learning process because it has a direct impact on student actions both inside and outside the classroom.

Abstract

Islamic education aims to shape a complete Muslim personality, develop human potential, and foster harmonious relationships between humans and Allah, among humans, and with the universe. The Islamic education curriculum is designed to integrate religious, academic, and practical aspects to produce graduates who are intellectually smart and rich in Islamic values. However, in its implementation, the Islamic education curriculum faces various challenges and issues. These include discrepancies between curriculum design and reality on the ground, lack of readiness in human resources and infrastructure, as well as the demands of globalization and rapid technological development. Additionally, there is an imbalance between theoretical and practical aspects in the curriculum, and challenges in balancing local needs with global demands. This research aims to present the problems in the implementation of the Islamic education curriculum and its evaluation. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach using literature review. The results of this research show that the implementation of the Islamic education curriculum in Indonesia still faces various challenges that require serious attention. The availability and quality of teachers, curriculum standardization, facilities and infrastructure, teaching methods, and technology integration are aspects that need improvement. With comprehensive evaluation and the implementation of appropriate recommendations, it is expected that the Islamic education curriculum can be more effective and produce a generation that is both qualified and of noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using letter blocks compared to conventional teaching methods in enhancing reading skills, text comprehension, and cognitive development in children aged 5–6 years. This review also examines literature from a psychoanalytic perspective to understand the impact of interactions between children and learning aids on their emotional development. The results indicate that the letter block method is more effective in increasing emotional engagement and multisensory learning, while conventional methods provide structure and discipline in literacy education. A combination of both approaches is recommended for a holistic learning experience.

Abstract

The learning of physics is often considered one of the most challenging subjects for students, as it requires a deep understanding of concepts and strong analytical skills. Difficulties in comprehending the material can affect students' motivation and learning strategies, which may ultimately impact their level of learning independence. This study employs a quantitative method with a simple linear regression approach. The sample consists of 30 students from SMPN 01 Singkawang, selected using a random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring students' learning difficulties and learning independence. The analysis results indicate that Learning Difficulties do not have a significant effect on Learning Independence, with a p-value of 0.1531, which is greater than the significance level of 0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.0715 suggests that only 7.15% of the variation in Learning Independence can be explained by Learning Difficulties, while the remaining portion is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji esensi filsafat ilmu dalam manajemen pendidikan Islam dari perspektif konseptual dan aplikatif. Filsafat ilmu berperan sebagai landasan epistemologis, ontologis, dan aksiologis dalam perumusan kebijakan pendidikan Islam. Meskipun banyak kajian yang menyoroti aspek teoritis, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi kesenjangan dalam implementasi praktis konsep-konsep filosofis. Dengan menggunakan metode studi pustaka, penelitian ini mengembangkan model integratif yang menghubungkan prinsip-prinsip filsafat ilmu dengan strategi manajemen pendidikan Islam. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian ilmu wahyu dan rasional serta nilai-nilai moral dalam kebijakan pendidikan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas manajemen. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami hubungan antara teori dan praktik pendidikan Islam, serta menawarkan panduan bagi pengelola lembaga pendidikan dalam merumuskan kebijakan berbasis nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of interaction between teachers and students in Social Sciences (IPS) learning in elementary schools and identify factors that support and hinder this interaction. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation at UPTD SD Negeri 6 Metro Utara. The research results show that teachers use various methods such as lectures, discussions, Problem Based Learning (PBL), and educational games to build effective and enjoyable interactions. Teachers also play an important role in creating a positive learning atmosphere through a cheerful attitude and friendly approach. Student responses show that discussion and game methods can increase their motivation and participation. However, there are obstacles such as differences in learning styles and student characters, especially for shy students who feel less comfortable in open discussions. Therefore, inclusive and adaptive strategies are needed so that all students can be actively involved. Support from the school is also an important factor in forming conducive interactions. The success of interaction in social studies learning is influenced by appropriate teaching methods, teacher attitudes, student character, and a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

The utilization of Calc 3D Pro software in learning computational thinking among students has shown significant potential in improving the understanding of geometric and mathematical concepts. In this literature review, various studies are discussed that identify how the use of Calc 3D Pro can help students develop critical and analytical thinking skills through three-dimensional visualization. With the interactive features offered, students can more easily understand the relationship between mathematical objects and their applications in everyday life. In addition, research shows that the use of this software can also increase students' learning motivation and engagement in the learning process.
