Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Project Based Learning (PjBL) with the help of ChatGPT on student learning outcomes in Sociology subjects. ChatGPT as artificial intelligence technology provides support in the form of interactive explanations, project completion assistance, and learning resources that can be accessed at any time by students. The research method used was quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 60 11th grade high school students who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group using PjBL assisted by ChatGPT and the control group using conventional learning methods. The research instrument was a multiple choice test to measure learning outcomes before and after treatment. The results showed a significant increase in posttest scores in the experimental group compared to the control group. The t-test analysis showed a significant difference (p < 0.05) between the two groups, indicating that the integration of ChatGPT in PjBL learning effectively improved students' sociology learning outcomes. This finding underscores the importance of utilizing AI technology to support active learning models and improve learning quality. This study recommends the application of similar technologies in other learning contexts as well as further research to examine the long-term impact of using AI in education.

Abstract

The use of gadgets is increasingly widespread among elementary and middle school students, bringing various impacts on their learning motivation and psychosocial development. This article reviews literature related to the positive and negative effects of gadget use on school-aged children. The review results show that gadgets used as learning media can significantly enhance student participation and interest in learning. However, excessive use of gadgets for non-educational activities, such as gaming and social media, can lead to psychosocial disturbances, including difficulties in socializing, decreased learning motivation, and health issues such as sleep disorders and reduced concentration. Therefore, supervision and guidance from teachers and parents are essential so that gadgets can be optimally utilized to support the learning process and children's development.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the process of developing folklore comic books for learning Indonesian, main idea material for class IV. Type of R&D (Research and Development) development research using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This research was conducted at MI Al-Huda Banyutami in the even semester. The subjects of this research were 9 grade 4 students. Data collection techniques used validation questionnaires from material experts, language experts, graphics experts, and student response questionnaires. The research results on comic book development used a 4D model, but in this research, only 3 stages were used (Define, Design, and Develop). The results of the validity of folklore comic books can be seen from the validation results of the expert team, namely material experts who got a score of 91.6% which was categorized as very valid, language experts with a score of 93.75% in the very valid category, and graphics experts who got a score of 90.9% in the very valid category and student questionnaire responses which got a percentage of 93% in the very good category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of positive habituation of congregational Zuhur prayer on improving the spiritual character of elementary school children. The research was carried out with a qualitative method through participatory observation at SDN Tugu Rejo 02, where the researcher participated in religious activities with students. The results of the study showed that regular congregational prayer activities had a positive impact on the development of students' disciplined attitudes, spiritual awareness, and polite behavior. This habituation is an effective means of forming religious values from an early age and encouraging the deep internalization of spiritual character. It can be concluded that the habituation of congregational worship is a relevant and applicable character formation strategy in the elementary school environment.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way children interact with the world, one of which is through social media platforms such as TikTok. This application has become very popular among elementary school-aged children because it presents short video content that is interesting, fast, and easy to consume. This article aims to analyze the influence of TikTok on elementary school children through a literature review approach of various recent research results. The focus of the analysis includes the impact of TikTok use on children's psychological, social, reading habits, and politeness values. Based on the results of the review, it was found that the use of TikTok has two sides: on the one hand it can increase children's creativity, self-confidence, and communication skills; but on the other hand it also has the potential to cause a decrease in politeness, social empathy, learning focus, and the emergence of impulsive behavior and digital addiction.

Abstract

Thibbun nabawi is a method of treatment derived from the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that is not only based on medical science but also on the spiritual values of Islam. This treatment complements and perfects modern medical science, emphasizing the importance of balance between physical and spiritual health. One form of treatment in thibbun nabawi is the use of honey, which has been scientifically proven to have various health benefits. Honey functions as an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, prebiotic, and as a source of natural nutrition that is safe for consumption by all ages, including pregnant women. In the context of modern medicine, honey shows great potential as a complementary therapy in addressing various diseases, such as diarrhea, acne vulgaris, and digestive disorders. Recent research also shows that honey consumption can reduce nausea and vomiting symptoms in pregnant women during the first trimester. Therefore, the integration of thibbun nabawi, particularly honey therapy, into the modern healthcare world should be further developed as a form of harmonization between medical science and Islamic values.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peran kepala sekolah sebagai supervisor dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru serta mengidentifikasi hambatan dan solusi dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan field research, serta teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui proses reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menjalankan supervisi secara sistematis melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Supervisi dilakukan sebanyak tiga kali dalam satu tahun ajaran, mencakup supervisi administrasi dan kelas. Dalam pelaksanaannya, kepala sekolah memberikan umpan balik dan tindak lanjut yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas profesional guru. Meski hasilnya positif, peningkatan profesionalisme baru terlihat pada sebagian guru. Beberapa hambatan yang dihadapi antara lain keterbatasan kemampuan guru dalam teknologi, kurangnya metode mengajar yang efektif, serta minimnya fasilitas. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, kepala sekolah melakukan berbagai upaya seperti memberi umpan balik langsung, mengadakan pertemuan ilmiah internal, mengikutsertakan guru dalam workshop dan kelompok kerja guru (KKG) guna menunjang peningkatan profesionalisme secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Literacy skills are a fundamental component of primary education, playing a crucial role in shaping students’ critical thinking, communication abilities, and character development. However, literacy levels among elementary school students in Indonesia remain low, as reflected in various national and international assessments. One contributing factor is the dominance of conventional teaching approaches that are less engaging and lack contextual relevance. This article aims to examine the effectiveness of the storytelling method as an innovative strategy to enhance literacy skills among primary school students. Through a literature review method, the article analyzes theories related to literacy, storytelling, and findings from previous studies. Storytelling has been proven to improve students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in an integrated manner. Furthermore, this method fosters emotional and intellectual engagement through enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences. Teachers play a vital role as facilitators in bringing stories to life and creating interactive learning environments. Therefore, storytelling is viewed as a strategic approach to strengthening children's literacy from an early age, while also addressing the limitations of conventional teaching methods commonly used in elementary schools.

Abstract

Permasalahan akhlak, baik pribadi maupun sosial, semakin kompleks seiring perkembangan zaman. Akhlak merupakan fondasi penting dalam membentuk karakter individu serta menjaga keharmonisan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran akhlak dalam kehidupan manusia serta dampak negatif yang timbul akibat kerusakan akhlak. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan kajian teori dari tokoh-tokoh seperti imam Al-Ghazali dan Prof. Dr. Zakiah Daradjat. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa akhlak pribadi dan sosial sangat diperlukan untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang harmonis dan beradab. Penanaman nilai-nilai akhlak melalui pendidikan, keteladanan, dan pembiasaan perilaku positif menjadi solusi strategis dalam mengatasi krisis moral yang tengah terjadi.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the My Next Words Grade 3 textbook using evaluation criteria developed by Brian Tomlinson, which include impact, readability, usefulness, practicality, localization, and flexibility. Through a qualitative content analysis approach, this study analyzes the suitability of the content of the book to the needs and characteristics of elementary school students. The results showed that the book had a number of strengths, such as an attractive visual presentation and systematic structure of the material, but also found some weaknesses, such as a lack of local context and challenges in readability for some students. This research provides recommendations for the development of textbooks that are more effective and in accordance with modern pedagogical principles and educational contexts in Indonesia. These findings are expected to contribute to teachers, curriculum developers, and textbook writers in improving the quality of English learning materials at the elementary school level.
