Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of the school principal as a teacher leader in enhancing teacher performance at UPTD SDN 360 Anabanua, Maniangpajo District, Wajo Regency. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with the school principal and selected teachers, observations, and document analysis. Findings indicate that the school principal plays a pivotal role in enhancing teacher performance by offering continuous motivation, personalized guidance, resource provision, and emotional support. These leadership practices foster a positive work environment, contributing significantly to improved teacher performance and student outcomes. The study underscores the school principal's role as a transformative leader, essential for driving educational quality improvements in elementary schools. The findings suggest that investing in leadership development for school principals could be a key strategy to advance educational excellence

Abstract

This study aims to determine the differences in Civic Education learning outcomes between students taught using the STAD cooperative learning model and the Jigsaw cooperative learning model at MAN 1 Kendari. The research method used is an experimental design with a post-test only control group design. The sample consists of 60 students, selected through multi-stage random sampling, with 30 students from class XI IPS2 and 30 students from class XI IPS3. Data were collected using a Civic Education learning outcomes test, which was validated and tested for reliability, with a reliability score of 0.903. The results showed that the average learning outcomes of students taught with the STAD model were higher (87.21) compared to those taught with the Jigsaw model (73.44). Hypothesis testing revealed a significant difference between the two learning models, with a t-value (30) greater than the t-table value (2.390) at a 0.01 significance level. This study concludes that the STAD cooperative learning model is more effective in improving Civic Education learning outcomes compared to the Jigsaw learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of education and compensation on employee work motivation at Suzuki Dealer PT. Megah Putera Kendari. Rapid technological advancements pose new challenges, including the demand for adaptation to big data and automation, which require employees with relevant educational skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 55 employees, selected through proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS 23 software, including normality tests, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results show that education has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Good educational qualifications contribute to increasing employee motivation. Additionally, compensation also has a positive and significant effect on work motivation. The better the compensation provided, in line with the principles of fairness, appropriateness, and equity, the higher the employee work motivation. This study highlights the importance of education and fair compensation in enhancing work motivation at PT. Megah Putera Kendari.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi implementasi dan dampak Kurikulum Merdeka terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Kolaka Utara. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi untuk menggali pengalaman subjektif dari guru, siswa, dan orang tua di tiga sekolah dasar, yaitu SDN 6 Lasusua, SDN 9 Lasusua, dan SDN 15 Lasusua. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola yang muncul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Merdeka secara signifikan mendukung pengembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan kontekstual. Namun, efektivitasnya dipengaruhi oleh pelatihan guru, ketersediaan teknologi, dan keterlibatan komunitas. Para pendidik memiliki persepsi positif terhadap kurikulum ini, meskipun menekankan perlunya dukungan sumber daya yang lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya kolaborasi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan komunitas untuk mendukung keberhasilan Kurikulum Merdeka. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan baru untuk pengembangan kebijakan pendidikan di masa depan.

Abstract

This research focuses on the challenges in implementing the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri 5 Konda as well as efforts to optimize educational human resources (HR) to improve the quality of learning. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through structured interviews, participant observation and document analysis. This research involved teachers and school principals as research subjects. The research results show that the main challenges in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum include teachers' limited time to participate in training, skills gaps in using technology, and high administrative burdens. Another challenge is limited infrastructure, especially in rural schools, which affects the effectiveness of the use of technology in learning. The proposed optimization strategies include practice-based training, digitalization of administrative tasks, and increased inter-teacher collaboration. The role of the principal is also very important in supporting and providing resources for teachers. The implication of this research is that by optimizing human resources through a planned strategy, the implementation of the Independent Curriculum can run more effectively, which will ultimately improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze collaborative strategies to address the challenges of implementing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum, using a narrative perspective approach. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the integration of ICT as a supporting tool for more independent and innovative learning; however, challenges such as limited infrastructure, a lack of digital skills among teachers, and insufficient collaborative support remain obstacles in the field. This research employs a qualitative method with in-depth interviews involving Teacher Leaders and School Leaders in Kendari City. The results indicate that collaboration among teachers, schools, parents, and government is key to optimizing the application of ICT, particularly through support in providing training, enhancing competencies, and ensuring adequate equipment availability. These findings underscore the importance of collaborative strategies that involve various stakeholders in efforts to achieve sustainable educational transformation in the digital era, supporting the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The concept of an ideal society in Islam is described in the Qur'an, offering a comprehensive view of the nature of society and the role of education in shaping it. This study aims to examine the concept of society from the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy and understand the role of education in forming an ideal society. Using a qualitative method through a literature review, this study analyzes classical Islamic sources and educational philosophy literature to identify key elements of the ideal society concept. The findings indicate that Islam views society as an organic unity consisting of interconnected individuals with shared goals. Islamic education serves as the primary instrument in shaping individuals' and society's character toward justice, prosperity, and piety. As khairu ummah, Muslims have the responsibility to realize an ideal society through humanization, liberation, and transcendence. In conclusion, the concept of an ideal society in Islam includes ummatan muslimatan, ummatan wasathan, ummatan wahidatan, and khairu ummah, representing a faithful, moderate, united, and exemplary community. This study provides significant contributions to understanding the role of Islamic education in fostering social transformation toward an ideal society.

Abstract

Human nature, according to Islamic teachings, is an innate state characterized by purity, faith, and monotheism, reflecting inherent potential that requires education to cultivate positive attributes. Islamic education, as a process of humanization, plays a central role in guiding humans to become vicegerents who can uphold divine values and achieve moral and intellectual balance. This study employs a qualitative method based on a literature review, analyzing books, journals, and other scientific sources to explore the relationship between human nature and the objectives of Islamic education. The findings indicate that Islamic education not only aims to preserve divine values but also to develop human potential so that individuals can contribute positively to society and their environment. Thus, Islamic education serves as a primary means to build individuals who harmonize spirituality and rationality in fulfilling their role in the world.

Abstract

This study examines the perceptions of the community in North Kolaka regarding blue carbon mangroves in the context of climate change mitigation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research involved 200 respondents from two districts: Pakue and Watunohu. The results indicate that the majority of respondents have a high awareness of the importance of mangroves as carbon sinks and environmental protection. However, understanding of the blue carbon concept remains low, with 37.5% of respondents indicating they have a fair understanding. Furthermore, 88 % of respondents believe that mangroves play a crucial role in climate change mitigation. This study recommends more intensive educational programs to enhance knowledge and community involvement in sustainable mangrove management, in order to support efforts for mitigation and the preservation of mangrove ecosystems in North Kolaka Regency.

Abstract

This research is based on the abundant potential of marine resources in the coastal area of Ronta Village, North Buton Regency, especially seaweed, which can be utilised to improve community welfare. But behind the potential, there are still many challenges faced by the community of Ronta Village, such as traditional cultivation techniques, limited capital, unoptimal market access, and climate change that affects productivity. On the other hand, the poverty rate in coastal areas is still a serious problem. The purpose of this research isto analyse the potential of seaweed cultivation as the main source of income for coastal communities in Ronta Village, North Buton Regency. The research method used was a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The sampling technique used purposive sampling which totalled 25 people from the coastal community. The results showed that capital assistance, experience, land area, seed quality, seaweed cultivation contributed significantly to the community's income, resulting in the opening of jobs, and improving living standards. This is evidenced by the average total cost of seaweed farming in one harvest season of Rp 3,647,022. Then the impact of the seaweed farming assistance programme in increasing farmers' income and one harvest season is Rp. 18,552,978 per harvest season. The conclusion of this research is that seaweed farming has great potential as an alternative source of income for coastal communities and can be an effective strategy in poverty alleviation in coastal areas.
