Abstract

Learning activities are a process of interaction between students and educators which aims to develop intellectual, moral, emotional and maturity aspects. Identify the factors that cause children to be lazy about studying in Sei Mencirim Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, Mutiara Aulia IT Middle School. This research aims to: Find out the causal factors that influence children to be lazy about studying. The research method we use in this research is a qualitative method, what is meant by qualitative research is qualitative research aimed at understanding social phenomena or realities through collecting non-numerical data, such as interviews, observations, and text or document analysis. In the research, it was found that the reasons why students at SMP IT Mutiara Aulia were lazy about studying were, namely, 1) Factors that came from within the child, 2) Factors that came from outside the child which caused the child to be lazy about studying. Based on the results of this research, the researcher provides suggestions, namely: 1) Parents who put their children to study at this school must pay extra attention and provide more attention and motivation, especially in the educational context. 2) For the community, especially community leaders around where students live, they must always provide supportive advice to be given and listened to by students who live in that area so that the child is willing to study hard at school. 3) For teachers, stay enthusiastic, never give up and always be patient in educating students at Mutiara Aulia IT Middle School.

Abstract

This study examines prevalent linguistic inaccuracies encountered by individuals learning the English language, as well as the perceptions and methodologies employed by pre-service educators in addressing these inaccuracies through contrastive analysis. The adopted methodology is qualitative, utilizing contrastive analysis to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the frequent errors and the approaches that pre-service teachers can utilize to correct them. The results indicate that learners commonly struggle with various elements, including grammatical issues, pronunciation errors, interference from their native language, limited vocabulary, and psychological challenges such as anxiety and diminished self-confidence. Through semi-structured interviews conducted with 20 pre-service teachers, the research pinpointed effective strategies employed, which comprise explicit correction techniques, phonetic drills, thematic vocabulary instruction, and the establishment of a nurturing classroom atmosphere. The findings underscored the necessity for enhanced teacher training, the incorporation of technology, student-centric methodologies, cultural awareness, and ongoing professional development for educators to elevate the effectiveness of language instruction.

Abstract

This research discusses various methods of controlling microorganisms through literature analysis from various scientific journals. Microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, fungi, algae and protozoa can have positive or negative impacts. For this reason, controlling microorganisms is important in order to maximize their benefits and minimize their negative impacts. This study describes the effectiveness of various control techniques, including biological, chemical, and physical approaches. This analysis is expected to provide new insights regarding innovative and environmentally friendly methods of controlling microorganisms, relevant for various fields such as health, industry and agriculture, while maintaining the balance of the microbial ecosystem

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of teachers' social competence on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for 8th-grade students at SMP Swasta Taman Siswa Sidomulyo, Batubara Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach, with the entire population of 60 students serving as the sample (total sampling). Data collection instruments include observations and questionnaires, while the data analysis technique used is the t-test. The results indicate that the t-calculated value for teachers' social competence is 7.516, while the t-table value with 58 degrees of freedom (df) is 1.671. With a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), these findings suggest that teachers' social competence has a significant and positive impact on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, in modern society. In an era of rapid advancement, technology has become an integral part of how individuals communicate and interact directly. The research method used is a qualitative literature study. This study explores the concept of artificial intelligence through a unified theoretical model that impacts daily life and functions in modern society. The findings indicate that the use of artificial intelligence and the second acceptance theory has become a crucial factor in enhancing convenience and productivity, as well as facilitating various aspects of life. The conclusion of this study highlights the significant role of digital technology as a medium for addressing issues in modern life. This article aims to discuss the use of digital technology in everyday life to achieve convenience. The results show that daily routines have changed due to new adaptations to the use of digital media applied in contemporary society.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji konsep evaluasi pendidikan dalam perspektif Islam berdasarkan pemikiran Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas, khususnya melalui karya monumental beliau The Concept of Education in Islam. Dalam pandangan al-Attas, pendidikan adalah proses ta’dib, yaitu pembentukan adab yang menyatukan ilmu, amal, dan akhlak. Evaluasi dalam pendidikan Islam seharusnya tidak terbatas pada penilaian akademik semata, tetapi juga menjadi instrumen untuk mengukur transformasi diri peserta didik, melalui dimensi spiritual, moral, dan sosial. Pendekatan ini bertolak belakang dengan sistem evaluasi konvensional yang cenderung netral nilai. Dengan metode studi pustaka, artikel ini menelusuri landasan filosofis evaluasi Islami serta memperkuatnya dengan berbagai studi kontemporer. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi berbasis nilai Islam berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan insan kamil yang beradab dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the influence of financial management on the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions using a library research approach. The focus of the study includes five main aspects: effectiveness of financial operations, the link between financial stability and teacher professionalism, the role of transparency and accountability, the impact of financial planning on access to education, and the application of Islamic financial principles. The findings indicate that all these aspects are interrelated and significantly influence the quality of Islamic education services. The study recommends that Islamic educational institutions develop financial management systems that align with Sharia principles and are oriented toward justice, efficiency, and educational sustainability

Abstract

The Community Service Program (PkM) is an effort to realize service aimed at improving the lives of the community. In this PkM activity, the aim is to empower the elderly through training in the production of herbal powder drinks in sachet packaging as a form of creativity and an effort to improve family economics. The activity was conducted at the BPW Kras Adult Sunday School in Kediri, with the main targets being the elderly and productive adults. The training includes socialization of the benefits of herbal ingredients such as ginger, turmeric, temulawak, and kencur, as well as practical sessions on making and packaging herbal products. The methods used were demonstrations, hands-on practice, and participatory evaluation. The results show an increase in participants' knowledge and skills in recognizing herbal ingredients and producing health drinks. This program shows that the elderly have the potential to actively contribute to productive activities if provided with appropriate training and support for their needs.

Abstract

Rapid digital transformation has brought significant changes to the world of education, especially in the way students access and process information. One of the innovations in the spotlight is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology such as ChatGPT as a learning aid. ChatGPT is present as a Mobile-AI-based communication media that is interactive, flexible, and responsive in helping students understand the material independently. This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the use of ChatGPT in the context of digital communication via mobile devices in the era of society 5.0. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an in-depth interview method with students who actively use ChatGPT in academic activities. The results of the study show that the majority of students have a positive perception of ChatGPT because it is considered to facilitate the learning process, speed up information searches, and support independent learning. However, concerns were also found regarding the accuracy of information, potential dependency, and the importance of digital literacy skills. These findings reveal that Mobile-AI communication, especially through ChatGPT, has formed a new pattern of interaction between students and technology, which is not only instrumental but also influences the way they think and learn. Therefore, the use of ChatGPT needs to be balanced with ethical and reflective awareness so that it can be optimally utilized in digital learning.
