Abstract

This study aims to examine the synchronization between the values of the Prophet Muhammad’s ﷺ hadiths and the principles of inclusive education in the context of primary education, particularly for slow learners. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method, analyzing hadiths relevant to the principles of inclusivity and equitable treatment of learners. The findings reveal that the Prophet consistently demonstrated individualized and compassionate approaches toward his companions with different learning traits. These hadiths contain educational values such as justice, patience, compassion, and appreciation of each individual's unique potential. In the practice of primary education, these values can be applied through strategies such as multisensory media, personalized approaches, and the reinforcement of emotional and motivational support for students facing learning difficulties. Case studies from several madrasahs show that teachers who apply these strategies have, in effect, embodied the Prophet’s teachings in their pedagogical practices. Hence, this study concludes that the prophetic values embedded in hadiths are highly relevant in promoting inclusive education. The research recommends the integration of hadith values into teacher training curricula to foster learning environments that are fair, compassionate, and tailored to each student’s individual potential.

Abstract

The high unemployment rate in Surabaya has prompted the municipal government to initiate the Padat Karya program as a solution to improve community welfare. One of the implementations of this program is the establishment of Kampung Batik Tin Gundih in Bubutan District. This study aims to analyze community empowerment through the Padat Karya Program in Kampung Batik Tin Gundih, Bubutan District, Surabaya. This program is an initiative of the City Government to address unemployment and poverty through the creation of jobs based on local potential. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The theory used refers to Wilson's empowerment model, which includes four stages: awareness, understanding, utilization, and habit formation. The research findings indicate that all stages have been implemented: residents were made aware of local potential, batik-making training was conducted, batik production is ongoing, and batik-making activities have become part of daily life. However, challenges such as weak management, uneven incentives, and unequal participation remain obstacles. The conclusion of this study indicates that the Labor-Intensive Program is capable of empowering residents economically and socially, although improvements are needed in program management and sustainability. Recommendations are made for the government to strengthen institutional frameworks, stabilize incentives, and provide ongoing support to create equitable and sustainable transformation.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has enabled more efficient processing of restaurant sales data through the application of forecasting methods. This study aims to implement time series forecasting techniques to predict daily sales in the food and beverage industry. Utilizing historical transaction data processed through Business Intelligence (BI) tools, specifically Power BI, the study analyzes trends and patterns in sales over time. The forecasting methods employed include Single Exponential Smoothing and Single Moving Average. The application of these methods is particularly crucial given that the restaurant under study still faces limitations in leveraging information technology, especially in terms of data management and sales analytics. In line with the rapid development of digital technologies, the integration of data-driven systems has become an essential requirement for businesses. Therefore, the findings of this study are expected to contribute to the digitalization of operational processes, enhance managerial efficiency, and strengthen the restaurant’s competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market environment.

Abstract

Patriarchal culture has deeply rooted itself in the majority of countries around the world. The perceived superiority of men over women extends into various sectors of life, resulting in the marginalization of the significant roles women play. Unfortunately, this patriarchal culture is often justified by interpretations of Qur'anic verses, including Q.S. An-Nisa: 34. This research employs a conceptual thematic method. The type of research used is library research, which relies on literature sources. The approach adopted is the double movement hermeneutics of Fazlur Rahman and hermeneutics of Rasyid Ridha. This approach is used to uncover the historical context of the verse, in order to extract its moral ideas for application in the present day. The findings of this research show that, from a historical perspective, Q.S. An-Nisa: 34 was revealed as a response to the deeply entrenched patriarchal culture among the Arab people. This verse contains three core moral ideas: it implies the obligation of a husband as the head of the household to provide for and protect his wife; it indicates the responsibility of a good wife to guard herself; and it outlines the method for addressing a wife’s disobedient behavior (nusyūz). These three moral ideas suggest that husbands and wives are, in essence, family partners with equal rights, responsibilities, and status.

Abstract

The Climate Village Program (Proklim) in Ditotrunan Village is a strategic effort to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving the environment through climate change adaptation and mitigation. This research aims to analyze the role of various stakeholders including academics, businesses, communities, government, and media in making people aware of environmental preservation through the implementation of Proklim. The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that academics play a very good role through the Community Service Program (KKN), such as the creation of a Sustainable Food Yard (P2L) and an information board “The Length of Waste Decomposed”, which directly increases community understanding. The business sector contributes quite well through the culinary tourism initiative “doDolan Kampung” with the use of environmentally friendly packaging, while empowering the economy of the local community. Communities, such as Environmental Cadres and Youth Organizations, play an excellent role in encouraging active community participation through socialization and concrete actions. The government provides strong support through regulations and technical assistance. However, the role of the media is still limited due to the lack of collaboration in reporting, although there has been coverage from Kompas TV on environmental transformation in Ditotrunan. The conclusion of this study states that the implementation of Proklim in Ditotrunan Village has been going well with the support of stakeholders, although it needs to optimize the role of the media to expand the impact of socialization.

Abstract

Rajekwesi Bojonegoro Terminal is a class A terminal that provides facilities and services for public transportation and passengers. This terminal functions as a destination point for village or intercity transportation that supports the needs of travelers. From the existing conditions, there are many workers from villages who go to Surabaya. They usually leave their homes to the terminal using private vehicles, motorcycle taxis, or pedicabs. Currently, there is no public transportation connecting the village with Nganjuk Terminal. Therefore, the author made a plan for passenger transportation to Nganjuk Terminal in order to meet these transportation needs. This research was conducted at Bojonegoro Station and Rajekwesi Bojonegoro Terminal through a field survey. A total of 200 respondents were taken through questionnaires and interviews to collect primary and secondary data at both locations. After the data was collected, the next step was processing and analysis by summarizing the results of the questionnaire and calculating the transportation needs and microbus fares per passenger. From the questionnaire, information was obtained about the social and economic characteristics of the respondents and their travel profiles. What is obtained from the processing and analysis of integrated transportation planning shows a load factor value of 0.7, a planned travel speed of 33 km/hour, a circulation time of 5.6 minutes, a headway of 5.1 minutes, a frequency of 8 vehicles, a maximum waiting time of 5.1 minutes, and the need for 1 vehicle with a distance of 2 km from the Station to the Rajekwesi Terminal. The fare for microbus passengers with a capacity of 16 seats in zone 1 is IDR 2,700 per passenger.

Abstract

The cultivation of moral values among elementary school students is a crucial process in shaping religious and ethical character from an early age. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers play a central role in guiding students; however, the success of this process significantly depends on synergy with parents. This study aims to describe the forms of synergy between PAI teachers and parents in instilling moral values at SD Negeri Lebaksari, as well as to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that synergy takes place through digital communication, joint religious activities, and the reporting of students' development. Supporting factors include mutual awareness of the importance of moral education and the principal’s support, while the main obstacles are the lack of parental understanding and their busy schedules. This study underscores the importance of active and continuous collaboration between schools and families in nurturing a generation with noble character. Abstract

Online SIM service policy, Satpas Colombo Surabaya continues to strive to improve online SIM services so that urban residents of Surabaya who have very high mobility and are busy can still extend their SIM through online SIM which can be done at Satpas Colombo, Surabaya City. The government's commitment to improving public services in Indonesia through improving governance or reforming the bureaucracy to create good governance by referring to three indicators, namely Thinking Ahead, Thinking Again, and Thinking Across. This study aims to analyze the application of dynamic governance in the implementation of public services at the SATPAS Colombo Office, Surabaya City. This study uses a qualitative method that uses primary data and secondary data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Driving License (SIM) service at SATPAS Colombo Surabaya has shown significant progress through the application of the Dynamic Governance concept, especially with the use of information technology in the online SIM registration and management system which increases efficiency, transparency, and accessibility. This innovation is strengthened by routine evaluation, cross-sector collaboration, as well as proactive leadership support and employee readiness to face change. However, its implementation still faces a number of obstacles such as technical disruptions, limited ICT infrastructure in several areas, low digital literacy among the community, and minimal public involvement in the service planning and evaluation process.

Abstract

The development of an Islamic education program based on information technology is a response to the challenges of the digital era that demands a more adaptive and innovative transformation of the learning system. Islamic education as an integral part of the national education system has an urgency to adopt information technology in order to be able to provide relevant and competitive education services in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. This study aims to examine the strategy, implementation, and impact of information technology integration in the development of Islamic education programs. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and observations of good practices in several Islamic education units. Data were collected through documentation and review of national education policies related to the digitalization of education. The analysis was carried out descriptively-analystically to understand the integration patterns and challenges faced in the development of IT-based Islamic education programs. The results of the study show that the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), digital learning applications, and web-based interactive media has increased student engagement in learning and strengthened the achievement of spiritual, social, and academic competencies. The development of Islamic content in multimedia format also enriches the learning experience of students in a contextual and enjoyable way. However, several challenges are still encountered, such as limited digital infrastructure, educator competence in utilizing IT, and resistance to changes in traditional teaching methods. To overcome this, supporting policies, ongoing training for teachers, and strengthening collaboration between technology developers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders are needed. Thus, the development of information technology-based Islamic education programs must be designed systematically by considering pedagogical, technological, and Islamic values. This development model is expected to be a reference in building an inclusive, dynamic, and future-oriented Islamic education ecosystem.

Abstract

The relationship between Cuba and the United States initially developed during the colonial period following the Spanish-American War and lasted until 1902. At that time, Cuba was a colony of the United States and formally declared its independence in 1901 after a congress held in the United States. However, following Cuba’s independence, bilateral relations gradually deteriorated, particularly after the 1959 revolution led by Fidel Castro, which transformed Cuba into a communist state. This development raised significant concerns in the United States, particularly regarding Cuba's increasing alignment with the Soviet Union during the height of the Cold War. In response to these geopolitical tensions, the United States sought various strategies to improve its international image, including within the Middle East. One such approach involved the use of sports diplomacy, specifically through baseball, as a means of fostering engagement with Cuba and improving its global reputation. This study aims to examine the impact experienced by Cuba as a result of the baseball diplomacy initiatives conducted by the United States between 2014 and 2016.
