EduInovasi: Journal of Basic Educational Studies is a journal published in the Study Program of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Faculty of Tarbiyah, the  Islamic Institute of Laa Roiba Bogor. This journal is published twice a year in February and Agust. Furthermore, this journal is published in two versions, namely print and online. The focus of this journal contains articles on research on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education / Primary / MI / SD Teacher Education, such as competency analysis, learning strategies, learning theory, learning development, educator professionalism, and research results. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The Journal kindly invites scientists, scholars, professionals, and researchers in the form of the contribution with articles to be published and disseminated through: the selection mechanism of the article, criticized by reviewer, and the editing process. Abstract

This research aims to determine the impact of digitalization on the learning process through several aspects: (1) knowledge, (2) application, and (3) utilization in PJOK (Physical Education, Sports, and Health) learning. This is a descriptive quantitative study using the survey method. The population consists of 221 students from grades VIII A-G at SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu. The sample includes 120 students selected through incidental sampling. Data collection techniques involve the use of a Likert scale with ratings of SS (5), S (4), KS (3), TS (2), and STS (1). The research instrument is a questionnaire tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis is conducted using percentages (%). The results show that the impact of digitalization on the PJOK learning process at SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu is categorized as high in terms of (1) knowledge aspect at 71.35%, (2) application aspect at 69.44%, and (3) utilization aspect at 67.19%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the influence of digitalization on the PJOK learning process in the educational environment of SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu is categorized as high in the aspects of (1) knowledge, (2) application, and (3) utilization. Therefore, this research aims to assist PJOK subject teachers in considering the use of digitalization in the learning process from various aspects.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to outline the evolution of Islamic education in Boalemo under Alkhairaat. This kind of research is qualitative and uses wawacnara, documentation, and observation as data gathering methods. The findings demonstrated that the emergence and expansion of Alkhairaat in Gorontalo was preceded by its existence in Boalemo (Tilamuta) in 1967. From the inception to the present, Alkhairaat has undergone continuous development and improvement, leading the way in education from kindergarten/TPA to college. Boalemo's education system is developing Alkhairaat in five subdistricts, each of which has a different educational institution than TK-MA. The society has responded favorably to Alkhiraat's role as the coordinator of Islamic religious instruction, and it has since become the cornerstone for the society and thought to be able to satisfy the religious demands of the general public as well as the educational needs of the younger generation in particular.

Abstract

Education reflects society's ability to produce competent individuals who contribute positively. As times evolve, the education system undergoes transformation to meet modern era demands. Technological and informational advancements influence students' knowledge, skills, and social aspects in completing tasks, encouraging them to be more adaptive. Indonesia has implemented various curricula, with the Merdeka Curriculum being the latest. This curriculum is expected to deepen conceptual understanding and strengthen student competencies in the dynamic global era. This study analyzes the perceptions of 10th-grade public high school students in Tapos District, Depok, regarding geography subject assignment forms in the Merdeka Curriculum. Using a quantitative descriptive approach with a questionnaire as the main instrument, this study finds that the majority of students (64%) have a good perception of these assignment forms. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum shows variations in assignment forms, including print-based technology, audio-visual, computer, and their combinations. In conclusion, students have a positive understanding and view of various geography assignment forms in the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

AI is used by humans to help simplify and complete tasks in everyday life. AI is also used in the world of education. Important research is carried out because the development of artificial intelligence (Artificial Intelligence) has changed many aspects of human life, especially the world of education. In the digital era, Artificial Intelligence plays an important role in helping lecturers and students face learning challenges and achieve academic success. The research results show that AI media has several advantages in the PAI learning process in higher education, namely: 1) Data Management Efficiency, 2) Personalization of Learning, 3) Effective Feedback, 4) Increased Teaching Effectiveness. The disadvantages are: 1) Lecturers and students are afraid that their work will be completely replaced by AI, 2) Security and privacy, 3) Plagiarism, 4) Students are lazier than before because the features offered make it very easy for students to complete their college work, 5) Artificial Intelligence (AI) does not have Common Sense, 6) AI is able to learn and work on its own like humans, but AI cannot understand the purpose of the information it was made, 7) Student literacy will decrease because they don't have to bother reading journals or books, and 8) Using AI for a long time can have the potential to become addictive.

Abstract

This article examines the meaning of longing in the lyrics of the song “Gala Bunga Matahari” by Sal Priadi through Roland Barthes semiotic analysis. The purpose of this article is to find the meaning of longing in the song by using Roland Barthes' theory which explains denotation meaning, connotation meaning, and mythical meaning. The research method used is interpretive qualitative method or inductive way of thinking, which is a way of thinking from specific to general. The data collection technique used is a document study, namely by searching and obtaining from various sources that contain the necessary data. The results of the semiotic study of the lyrics of the song “Gala Bunga Matahari” by Sal Priadi are first, the denotation meaning, the songwriter wants to convey a great feeling of longing for someone who is gone and wants to meet even if only in a dream in the form of a sunflower. This is evidenced in every stanza of the song explaining hope and longing for someone who is gone. Second, the connotation meaning, the songwriter feels sadness and hope in himself because he cannot meet again and hopes that loved ones get a good life in the afterlife. This is evidenced in the first, second, fourth and seventh stanzas. Third, the mythical meaning, the author wants to convey the message that the intense longing for a person who has passed away by trying to believe in the prayers that are sent for the happiness of the deceased and believe that we can continue life well, this longing and sadness can be treated by letting go, accepting, and believing. This is evidenced in the third, fifth, and eighth stanzas.

Abstract

This research aims to improve descriptive speaking skills by implementing project-based learning using flashcards and mind mapping. The main purpose of this research was to describe improving descriptive speaking skills by implementing Project-based learning using flashcards and mind mapping for Seventh Graders of SMP Negeri 2 Modung Bangkalan in The Academic Year 2022/2023. To know about it, the researcher used some instruments such as observation and tests. After analyzing the data and counting the scores of students’ skills in tests, the researcher found that there were significant differences before and after the treatment. It meant that there was improving descriptive speaking skills by implementing Project-based learning using flashcards and mind mapping. To support those results, the researcher used a t-test formula to count the test results. To start calculating the data, the researcher counted the mean and the standard deviation in every Pre-test and Post-test from the experimental class and control class. Then, the result was entered into the formula. The research counted the t-table by calculating df and determined the percentage of significance. After that, the result of the t-test is compared with t-table to answer the hypothesis.

Abstract

As curriculum change is inevitable in education, the principal plays an important role in the process of curriculum change. The importance of the right leadership strategy in implementing curriculum changes in a school is very crucial. Adaptive leadership is one of leadership strategy that can be applied by principal as the school hinders with curriculum change. This study is qualitative research with the case study method in XYZ School, in which the principal applied the adaptive leadership as his strategy on curriculum change. The results showed that the implementation of adaptive leadership at XYZ School has supported the process of curriculum change. The principals are able to support the teachers on their role as change implementer, feedback giver and collaborator.

Abstract

The advancement of the digital era provides many conveniences in various fields. This is because its presence can support the sharing of human activities. One of the conveniences that can be felt is the digital transformation in the implementation of English certification to improve the effectiveness and quality of its implementation. English certification through a web-based English Competency Test (ECT) is a form of digital transformation used to certify English at the Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto. However, in practice, the use of the English Competency Test (ECT) system still has several shortcomings, such as the appearance on the English Competency Test (ECT) is less attractive and difficult to understand, the access process is less responsive and some features are not functioning properly. Therefore, to correct the existing deficiencies, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of use. This study is here to analyze the quality assessment of the English Competency Test (ECT) system. By using the Computer System Usability Questioner (CSUQ) instrument in the form of a questionnaire to assess the effectiveness, efficiency and convenience provided by ECT. The results showed that the usability of the English Competency Test (ECT) system was “Neutral” with a feasibility percentage of 58%. Neutral indicates that the English Competency Test (ECT) can be used, but still cannot be said to be good. Based on the research results, improvements can be made to the Information Quality section by providing error messages and improvements and improvements to the Interface Quality section to make it more user friendly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in management of educators and education personnel in Islamic Educational Institutions. The method used is a qualitative research method with a library research approach. The data in this research is based on facts, reality in the field and not designed by researchers through research. The results of the study indicate that the process of differences in management of educators and education personnel in Islamic Educational Institutions makes it more effective and efficient by paying attention to Islamic teachings. Therefore, in an effort to improve management, it is necessary to increase understanding of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This research is to determine leaders' skills in communication and decision making based on Islamic values ​​in an educational context. The method used is a qualitative methodology with data collected through the library research method. The data obtained in this method is based on facts, reality in the field and not designed by researchers through research research. The results of this research are that the success of a leader in influencing by using influencing tactics is largely determined by the leader's skills and experience. Leaders who have high skills and experience are easier to influence than those with low skills and experience. Leaders must understand various influencing tactics or strategies and how to use each influencing tactic. If with these influencing tactics or strategies the target/people influenced are influenced and change their attitudes, behavior and thought patterns, then the leader has succeeded in influencing the target and the influencing process is complete.
