Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using Yura Yunita Tutur Batin song media in improving poetry writing skills in class X students. This study used a quantitative approach using experimental research methods. The experimental design used in this study was quasi-experimental using a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample used in this study consisted of 35 students from class X at SMA Negeri 17 Bekasi, who were assigned to the experimental class (X E.2), and 33 students from the same class who were assigned to the control class (X E.5). Data on poetry writing skills were collected using test instruments that were compiled objectively based on test specifications. In its implementation, the experimental class received treatment to use song media in poetry learning, while the control class did not receive song media treatment. However, both classes were given the same learning materials and resources. The research data were analyzed using parametric inferential statistical procedures, namely paired sample t-tests. The results of this study: 1) the pre-test of poetry writing skills, namely before using song media in learning, had an average value of 67.37 for the experimental class and 69.36 for the control class; 2) post-test of poetry writing skills, namely without using song media in learning, had an average value of 82.27 for the control class, while for the experimental class that used song media in learning, had an average value of 87.11; 3) song media had a significant influence in improving poetry writing skills in class X of SMA Negeri 17 Bekasi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of using Indonesian language learning modules in the Independent Curriculum (Curriculum Merdeka) to improve student learning outcomes. This research took place at SMP Primbana Medan, in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The respondents were Indonesian language teachers and students in grades VII, VIII, and IX. Participatory observation guidelines were used to collect research data. This participatory observation technique was reinforced by other techniques, namely in-depth interviews and documentation. To ensure data validity, source triangulation and member checking techniques were conducted with the primary respondents. Effectiveness data were analyzed using a thematic approach through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of learning modules encouraged active student involvement, improved understanding of the material, and supported independent and contextual learning. Several obstacles were also found, such as students' difficulties in understanding the modules without guidance and the lack of adjustment of module content to students' learning needs. This study provides strategic recommendations to improve the effectiveness of Indonesian language learning modules in the Independent Curriculum, thereby enhancing student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) kategori register sepak bola pada akun resmi Instagram tim nasional sepak bola Prancis, (2) makna kata, frasa, atau kalimat dari masing-masing kategori register pada akun tersebut agar berguna bagi pembaca, dan (3) kosakata register dalam bahasa Prancis guna meningkatkan pemahaman kosakata sepak bola dalam bahasa Prancis. Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara daring pada akun resmi Instagram tim nasional sepak bola Prancis (@equipedefrance). Sampel data diambil dari tanggal 1 Juni 2025 hingga 25 Juni 2025. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh kata, frasa, atau kalimat pada caption dan teks postingan gambar atau video yang mengandung penggunaan register. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis konten untuk mengklasifikasikan dan menginterpretasi data berdasarkan teori register Martin Joos dan teori makna Geoffrey Leech. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 100 postingan yang dianalisis terdapat tiga kategori register yang dominan, yaitu formal register (75 data), consultative register (4 data), dan casual register (35 data). Formal register digunakan untuk menyampaikan informasi institusional atau pertandingan, consultative register digunakan dalam ajakan atau interaksi dengan pengikut, sedangkan casual register digunakan pada ungkapan santai, emosional, dan ekspresif. Semua data mengandung makna konseptual dan makna konotatif, di mana makna konseptual menyampaikan arti literal dan netral, sedangkan makna konotatif memberikan nuansa simbolik, emosional, dan ekspresif yang merefleksikan identitas, semangat kolektif, dan nilai sosial budaya.

Abstract

Literary translation is a form of cultural exchange, with figurative language serving as a bridge that transfer the distinctive values, norms, and perspectives from the source language to the target language. However, meaning equivalence in the translation of figurative language remains suboptimal. This study aims to 1) describe how figurative language in the novel Seras-tu Là ? is translated from French into Indonesian; and 2) determine whether the translation strategies used are able to maintain the figurative language and emotional nuances in the target text. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach. The data sources are the French version of the novel Seras-tu Là ? and its Indonesian translation. Data were collected using document analysis techniques through the observe-and-note method. The results show that 1) figurative language in the novel is predominantly translated using dynamic equivalence strategies to maintain acceptability in the target language; and 2) the translation strategies used are largely able to preserve the figurative language and its emotional nuances, although they sometimes reduce the literal meaning of certain diction. Thus, dynamic equivalence strategies clearly dominate the translation of figurative language in this novel and are able to maintain Musso’s distinctive style and emotional nuance in most of the data.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan aspek stilistika terutama penggunaan dan fungsi dari pemilihan diksi berupa idiom, kosakata vulgar, dan sinonimi yang digunakan oleh Leila S. Chudori dalam novel Laut Bercerita. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori yang diterbitkan oleh Gramedia Pustaka Utama cetakan ke-21 pada September 2021. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah satuan lingual yang berbentuk narasi atau dialog antartokoh yang mengandung keunikan dan kekhasan penggunaan diksi berupa idiom, kosakata vulgar dan sinonimi beserta konteksnya dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode simak. Metode dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode agih. Penelitian terhadap penggunaan dan fungsi pemilihan diksi khas ini menjadi penting karena dapat mengulik dan menjelaskan fenomena kebahasaan sebagai gaya kepengarangan seseorang dalam membangun sebuah wacana novel. Hal tersebut dapat digunakan sebagai ciri pribadi setiap pengarang yang dapat membedakan dari pengarang lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan diksi yang paling sering muncul dalam novel Laut Bercerita karya Leila S. Chudori adalah sinonimi, kemudian diikuti oleh idiom dan kosakata vulgar. Dari banyaknya data pemilihan diksi yang ditemukan tersebut dapat dilihat fungsinya yaitu untuk menekankan makna yang ingin disampaikan oleh pengarang, untuk menekankan situasi dan perasaan yang dialami oleh tokoh, serta untuk memperindah wacana sehingga wacana menjadi menarik dan tidak monoton.

Abstract

This study aims to explore innovations in the development of experiential learning models to foster creativity and active learning in students. This study is based on the low participation and creativity of students in learning drama texts. This is due to the learning methods used by teachers who are still conventional and do not involve students enough, resulting in teacher-centered learning and minimal space for exploring ideas. Through the development in this study, students are invited to understand the theory and connect it with authentic experiences, thereby actively engaging in reflection, experimentation, and direct application activities. This study uses a classroom action research method that was carried out for two cycles and involved all students in class XI 6 SMAN Mumbulsari. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and creativity questionnaires. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the aspects of creativity and active learning of students. Initially, using conventional learning methods, the level of student participation was only 30%, with only 30% of students actively participating and asking questions. However, after using the experiential learning model, this figure jumped to 85%. This change in values occurs because students are not only placed as spectators in the learning process, but as co-creators who are responsible for their own learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil belajar, respon, dan penerapan model pembelajaran project based learning (PjBL) dengan menggunakan media papan jawaban dalam menulis teks eksposisi sesuai dengan struktur, kaidah kebahasaan dan isi teks eksposisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuantitatif berbasis eksperimen quasi berupa bentuk pretest-posttest control group design, penelitian ini menggunakan dua kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas eksperimen X-02 dan kelas kontrol X-04. Berdasarkan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen memperoleh tes awal (pretest) sebesar 51 dan tes akhir (posttest) sebesar 78. Namun, jika dilihat hasil dari uji Independet Samples Test menunjukkan hasil dari kedua sampel lebih dari 0,05, sehingga hasil dari uji Independet Samples Test menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis HO diterima. Hipotesis tersebut memiliki deskripsi yaitu media pembelajaran papan jawaban tidak dapat meningkatkan interaktivitas peserta didik dalam penggunaan media dalam pengalaman belajar pada tes awal kelas eksperimen. Selanjutnya dilakuan uji Mann-Whitney, hasil dari uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan hasil dari kedua sampel kurang dari 0,05 yaitu 0,000, sehingga hasil dari uji Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis Ha diterima. Hipotesis tersebut memiliki deskripsi yaitu media pembelajaran papan jawaban eksposisi dapat berpengaruh dalam menulis teks eksposisi dengan baik dan benar [ada tes akhir.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan hasil belajar dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi Coggle dalam menulis teks deskripsi yang tepat dari segi struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif berjenis eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest postest. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari satu kelas yaitu Kelas VII-A. Skor rata-rata yang dicapai peserta didik pada tes awal (Pretest) adalah 45, Sementara itu, skor rata-rata yang dicapai pada tes akhir (Postest) adalah 94. Disamping itu, berdasarkan rata-rata indeks N-Gain yang diperoleh yaitu 0,8874 atau sekitar 89% sehingga aplikasi Coggle dapat dikategorikan efektif dalam menulis teks deskripsi.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characterization and classification of characters in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu. In terms of process and results, this study uses a qualitative descriptive method. From the perspective of data sources, this study is a library research. Data were collected using observation guidelines for the novel Rumah Untuk Alie. Data were analyzed using a literary psychology approach, utilizing David Krech's theory of emotional classification, which Albertine Minderop has modified into three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was obtained by theory triangulation. The results of the study on the classification of character emotions: 1) suppressed guilt occurs when the Jdoraksa family feels regret for their treatment of judging Alie; 2) Suppressed Guilt; 3) self-punishment is carried out by Alie who ends her life by consuming high doses of drugs and drowning her body in the sea; 4) shame appears when the video of Alie's fight with the Hexa Gang goes viral and the incident when Alie asks for a hug from Natta; 5) sadness comes when Gianla dies; 6) hatred is very dominant in the character of Alie, often experiencing physical violence from her family; 7) love comes from Alie's feelings of affection for her family and Selena's feelings of love who are always there when Alie needs them. The results of the prominent emotional classification of this study are hatred, while the results of the weak emotional classification are the concept of guilt. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal Arabic words formed from the imitation of natural sounds (onomatopoeia) in a collection of children's songs on Youtube “Marah KG”. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with semantic approach of Bredin's onomatopoeia theory (1996). There are two kinds of data sources used, namely primary and secondary. Primary data are song lyrics in the collection of children's songs on Youtube “Marah KG”, especially the playlist Jami' Aghaniy Qonat Marah KG-Maktabah Al-Aghaniy Al-Kamilah. The secondary data comes from books, journal articles, and other literatures relevant to the study of onomatopoeia. Data collection techniques used four techniques, namely listening, reading, note-taking, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique used is Miles & Huberman's, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of this study, there are 7 Arabic words formed from the imitation of natural sounds (onomatopoeia) consisting of two types of onomatopoeia, namely direct onomatopoeia and associative onomatopoeia. Meanwhile, the meanings contained consist of 3 meanings, namely referential meaning, contextual meaning, and associative meaning.
