Abstract

Improving the quality of Islamic educational institutions is highly dependent on effective, efficient, and sustainable financing strategies. This study aims to analyze various financing strategies that can be applied to improve the quality of Islamic education. Through a literature review, this article identifies several key strategies, including: the integration of information technology in financial management, diversification of funding sources, economic empowerment of the community through pesantren business units, and optimization of Islamic philanthropic funds such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf. Additionally, participatory budgeting, regular evaluation, and strict oversight are also crucial pillars in an accountable and transparent financing system. This study shows that effective financing strategies have a positive impact on improving educators' competencies, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and increasing community participation. However, challenges remain, such as limited resources, resistance to digitalization, and weak managerial capacity. Therefore, synergy between the government, community, and educational institutions is needed to strengthen financing policies and governance. The results of this study provide recommendations for strengthening data-based financial systems, professionalizing fund management, and involving all stakeholders to achieve excellent, independent, and sustainable Islamic education.

Abstract

The development of fine motor skills and concentration are crucial aspects for promoting optimal development in early childhood. However, effective, enjoyable, and affordable stimulation strategies remain a challenge in educational practice. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of a fishing game on improving children's fine motor skills and concentration. The research design used a pretest–posttest experiment with one experimental group and a control group. The instruments were fine motor observation and concentration tests, with data analysis using the Wilcoxon test using JASP. The results showed a significant increase between the pretest and posttest in fine motor skills (p = 0.001 < 0.05) and concentration (p < 0.001 < 0.05), thus the fishing game is proven to be effective in supporting early childhood development. The novelty of this study is the proof of the benefits of the fishing game not only on concentration as in previous studies, but also on fine motor skills. These findings provide empirical contributions and practical implications for educators and parents in utilizing simple games as a medium for stimulating child development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials taught at Tadika Bijak Lestari Penang, Malaysia, determine their effectiveness, and determine which variables support or hinder efforts to increase students' intrinsic learning desires. The research location was Tadika Bijak Lestari in Malaysia. Using in-depth interviews with the principal and class instructors as data sources, this qualitative technique employed a case study approach. Participants could be observed, interviews could be conducted, and notes could be kept as data collection techniques. According to this study, the learning strategies used were lectures, memorization, and basic interactive activities. However, research shows that student interest and engagement in learning are negatively impacted by the prevalence of lecture techniques. The availability of adequate educational facilities and certain student learning motivations are factors that facilitate the implementation of learning, but limited diversity of approaches and teachers' difficulties in adapting learning strategies are inhibiting factors. This study shows that Tadika Bijak Lestari Malaysia has successfully implemented various Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teaching strategies effectively. To achieve progress in this area, new approaches to Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that are more creative, flexible, and contextual are needed. By adapting creative techniques to the needs of early childhood, it is hoped that this will increase their enthusiasm for learning, which in turn will make the Islamic Religious Education learning process more relevant in building religious values and holistic personality.

Abstract

This research is a field study with a descriptive qualitative approach that aims to comprehensively describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation process of the tahsin program for teachers and students, as well as interpret the dynamics that occur during its implementation. The results of the study indicate that during the planning stage, the head of the school prepares teaching materials such as a tahsin guidebook, the Quran, stationery, and other supporting media such as PowerPoint and additional reference sources. Teachers prepare the guidebook, stationery, and the Quran, while students prepare the Tilawati book, stationery, and the Quran. During the implementation stage, the tahsin program for teachers is carried out once a week, while for students it is carried out four times a week using media such as the tahsin guidebook, the Quran, and the Tilawati book. Teacher evaluations are carried out continuously throughout the learning process, both at the beginning and at the end of the session. Meanwhile, student evaluations are carried out after completing each chapter of material, both verbally and in writing. The obstacles faced in the implementation of tahsin for teachers are time constraints and regular teacher absence due to other busyness, which are overcome by giving additional assignments in the form of memorizing theory or practice. Meanwhile, obstacles faced by students include low attendance rates and differences in their ability to absorb material, which are addressed by giving homework and additional time for individual tahsin.
