Focus and Scope Journal of Computer Interaction in Education (JCIE) publishes academic articles that recognize successful engaged learning depends on effective partnerships between students, faculty, community agencies, administrators, disciplines, and more. The journal invites submission of 1) Research that emanates from or informs campus-community partnerships; 2) Studies co-authored by faculty, students, and/or community partners; 3) Literature and Teaching English as Foreign Language; and 4) Commentary on emerging trends, developments, and/or challenges. The publication of this journal aims to spread conceptual thinking or ideas and the research findings obtained in the field of English Education and Literature.

<![CDATA[This research aimed in finding out the effectiveness of Facebook wall to improve students’ ability in writing recount text. The research applied Quasi experimental design model nonequivalent. The sample of the research were two class with the first class 20 and the second 20 class with using purposive sampling technique. The instrument of the research was writing English test. The population of the research was the eleventh grade student of SMA N 1 Sungguminasa and the number of sample was 20 students. The result of research in experimental class and control class in writing recount text in terms of content and mechanics in eleventh grade IPS 2 and IPS 3 showed. Percentage improving in experimental class in term content was 79.39 % improving from posttest 59.2, pretest 33, range pretest to posttest 26.2 % and 70.80 % improving in mechanics from posttest 69.6, pretest 40.75 range pretest and posttest 28.85 %. The percentage in control class in term of content was 66.31 % from posttest 54.05, pretest 32.5, range pretest to posttest 21.55 % and in mechanics was 58.28 % in posttest 60.7, pretest 38.35, range pretest to post test was 38.35%. Statistics hypothesis T-test value was 36.53 and T-table 1.78 which mean (H1) was significant improve.]]>

<![CDATA[This This research aimed at finding out whether or not the use of Video Clip and Hortatory Exposition Text effective in improving student’s pronunciation and student’s vocabulary. The researcher used an experimental research. The research had conducted a treatment, where the class consisted of six meetings. The location of this research was done at the second grade students of SMA N 22 Makassar with 30 students and stand by one class using individual test in pre-test, treatments and post-test design.The research instrument was an oral presentation as a pre-test and posttest. In pre-test the students presented their argument after they watched the video clip that given by cell phone and they were explained based on the structural of hortatory exposition text. The findings indicated that the use of video clip as media in the teaching speaking to deliver hortatory exposition text was effective in term of pronunciation and vocabulary. It is provided by the pre-test is (59, 75) and compare to the mean score of post-test is 72, 84 and the percentages of the improvement is 21, 90]]>

<![CDATA[The thesis aimed at finding out the improvement of the students’ vocabulary at the 10th grade of SMA Negeri 11 Watampone in 2017/2018 Academic year in term of Mnemonic Technique with Crossword Puzzle Media. The researcher findings indicated that Mnemonic Technique with Crossword Puzzle Media effective could improve students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of the data indicated that, there was difference between students’ pre-test and post-test. The mean score of post-test (86, 11) was greater than the mean score of pre-test (69, 25). From t-test, the researcher found that, the value of t-test (7.082) was greater than t-table (2.056) at the level of significance 0. 05 with degree of freedom (df) = 27.result shows that t-test value for the final score of students’ vocabulary was (7.082 > 2.080). It means that there is significant difference between the students’ vocabulary mastery before and after using Mnemonic Technique with Crossword Puzzle Media. It is also said that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. <![CDATA[This research aimed at finding out the improvement of the students’ listening ability in listening skill by using SPOTIFY Application as a tool that focused on Listening English song to identify what words the singer said and the meaning of the song. The researcher applied pre-experimental method with one group pre-test - post-test design, and collected the data based on the test. The sample of the research was the first semester students, which consisted of 25 students. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The research findings showed that the first semester students of English Department of Muhammadiyah University of Makassar had fairly score in pre-test. After treatment, their listening ability in identify phoneme words increase significantly. The result of the research were the mean score obtained by the students through pre-test was 57.2 and posttest was 74.4 with the t-test value orientation is greater than t-table (10.8>2.06). Listening through English Song in term of identify the phoneme words improved 17.2%. The result of calculating t-test of the indicators in the students’ t–test listening ability in listening through English Song was greater than t-table 25.1>2.06. <![CDATA[The aim of this research was find out whether the use of Facebook Group as a medium effective to increase students’ ability in writing recount text of the second grade students of MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa. This research used Pre-Experimental Research. The subject of the research was the second grade students with the sample of this research was 25 students from class VIII C and it used Purposive Sampling Technique. The researcher gave recout text to measure the students writing recount text. All of the students were given pre-test before using Facebook Group as a medium and after they got the treatment, the researcher gave post test to the students. The result of this research showed that the writing recount text of the second grade students of MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa, before taught by using Facebook Group was poor categorized. The mean score of pre-test was 61,04 and mean score of post-test was 85,48. It means that the mean score of post-test was greater than the mean score of pre-test. Then the improvement of the students’ writing ability was 40%. Then the calculating the t-test value for recount text was 12,87 and t-table for recount text was 2.064. it mean that the t-test was greater than t-table. The alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Based on the research findings, it could be conclude, that applying Facebook Group as a medium had significant to increase students’ ability at the second grade of MTs Aisyiyah Sungguminasa.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed finding the improvement of the students’ ability in reading narrative text by using Weblog. The writer applied pre-experimental method and collected the data based on the test. The sample of the research was class X MIA 2 of SMA Muhammadiyah Limbung that consisted of 29 students. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The research findings showed that the students had poor score in pre-test. After treatment, their reading ability in narrative text increase significantly. The result of the research were the mean score of reading narrative text in term of identify. Orientation obtained by the students through pre-test was 66 and posttest was 80 (21.2%), with the t-test value was greater than t-table (11.4 > 2.04). Complication obtained by the students through pre-test was 66 and posttest was 79 (19.7%) with the t-test value was greater than t-table (9.9>2.04). Resolution obtained by the students through pre-test was 70 and posttest was 79 (12.9%) with the t-test value was greater than t-table (3.8 > 2.04). The result of calculating t-test. Students in reading narrative text was greater than t-table (25.1>2.04). It was concluded that the use of Weblog improved students’ ability in reading narrative text.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed to investigate students’ perception on the use of preaching method and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) media in teaching English at seventh semester students English Department Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. This study applied a descriptive qualitative study. The data gained through open-ended interview and process with question interview that was present in paper, data reduction, and coding technique. The data was gained from seventh semester students at English Department Muhammadiyah University of Makassar. Based on the findings, it finds that students gave the positive perception toward the use of preaching method and Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) Media in teaching English to measure the effectiveness of the method and the media to support their English skills or knowledge. Moreover, the students claimed that they have many advantages during the implementation of preaching method and CALL media. <![CDATA[This research aimed at finding out whether or not the implementation mobile social networking method improve the students’ ability in speaking term of accuracy and fluency at the tenth grade students’ of SMAN 8 Makassar. This research was conducted through pre-experimental method. The population of this research consisted of one class of the tenth grade and the sample of the research, the researcher took X-MIPA 1 class, which consisted of 31 students at High School SMAN 8 Makassar, year 2018/2019. In collecting data, the researcher gave a speaking test; the speaking test help into two steps, there were pre-test and post-test. The findings of this research showed that the mean score in pre-test in term of pronunciation was (3.06) and post-test was (5.65). The mean score in pre-test in term smoothness was (3.39) and post-test was (5.74). In addition, the total result of pronunciation and smoothness or X1 was (3.22) and the post-test or X2 was (5.7). So, this is showed students got improvement in their speaking after being taught through mobile social networking]]>

<![CDATA[The research aimed to find out the improvement of the students’ learning grammar by using Kahoot website. The research applied pre-experimental research with one group pre-test and post-test. The researcher used purposive sampling technique.The sample of the research was class X MIPA 2 of SMAN 8 Gowa in academic year 2018/2019 which consisted of 37 students. The researcher used simple present and past tense of reading test as instrument in pre-test and post-test. The research findings indicated that Kahoot website can improve students’ Learning grammar. It was proved by the mean score of pre-test in present tense was 56.86it classified as fair, posttest was 73.72,it classified as good and the improvement of pretest to be posttest was 29.65%. In addition, the mean score of pretest in Past Tense was 51.89 that classified as poor, posttest was 70.81 that classified as fair good and the improvement of pretest to posttest was 36.46%. Therefore, there was the improvement of the students’ grammar in terms of simple present and past tense. The result of improvement is also proved with t-test value. The researcher found that the value of t-test (4.543) was greater than t-table (1.687). this value means that there was significantly difference between the result of the students’ pre-test and post test. It was concluded that the use of Kahoot website can improve students’ learning grammar at the First Grade of SMAN 8 Gowa.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aimed to find out is the implementation of Baby Bus You Tube to enhance the students’ vocabulary in seventh grade of SMP Negeri 1 Tinggi Moncong or not. It was emphasized on the improvement of the students’ vocabulary in English by using Baby Bus YouTube video. The research applied a Pre-experimental Method, with one group Pre-test and Post-test design, which consisted of six meeting, includes the treatments. The sample was taking by purposive sampling technique and the total of number of sample was 26 students in class 7.3. The data was obtained by using translate words and matching words. The findings of research were the mean score of the students development to their vocabulary was 5.85 in Pre-test and become 6.73 in Post-test. The students development their vocabulary is 15.23% It is supported by the value of t-test that is bigger than the value of t-table (2.226>2.059). Therefore, the Alternative was accepted and Null Hypothesis was rejected. Based on the result analysis, the researcher concludes that Using Baby Bus YouTube is Enhance students’ vocabulary to the seventh grade of SMPN 1Timggimoncong, Gowa.
