Abstract

For over three centuries, Kabupaten Bangka Tengah in the Bangka Belitung Islands Province has relied on tin mining and fisheries as the primary economic drivers. However, with shifting development priorities, the local government has begun to accelerate the growth of other sectors, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). As part of this effort, the Community Service Program (KKN) team from Universitas Pertiba Bangka Belitung conducted activities in Batu Belubang Village, Kecamatan Pangkalanbaru, aimed at exploring and enhancing the potential of local MSME products. Among these, Rusip Kering—a distinctive local product with significant potential but limited market recognition—stood out. Through educational programs and training focused on online marketing and packaging management, it is anticipated that MSME products like Rusip Kering can reach broader markets. This initiative is expected to positively impact the development of MSMEs in the village and contribute to the overall improvement of community welfare. This study underscores the importance of economic diversification in Kabupaten Bangka Tengah by developing the MSME sector as a new economic pillar for the region.

Abstract

Sexual behavior can be defined as a form of behavior driven by sexual desire either with the opposite sex or the same sex. Premarital sex is basically a sexual activity carried out by individuals with other people before marriage. Lack of adolescent knowledge of reproductive knowledge also occurs due to the influence of social media which provides inaccurate and incorrect information is one of the causes. The impact of problems arising from lack of knowledge of reproductive health is Unwanted Pregnancy (KTD), abortion, and early marriage, STIs or STDs and HIV / AIDS. This community service activity aims to increase adolescent knowledge about premarital sex and its impacts and prevention efforts for adolescent girls at the Al-Imdad Islamic Boarding School, Pajangan District, Bantul Regency. The method of this activity includes planning, programming, implementation, socialization and evaluation. The results of this activity show that there is an increase in adolescent knowledge about the dangers of premarital sexual behavior by giving quizzes before and after being given material to measure their level of knowledge.

Abstract

Demographic phenomena faced by many countries in the world today, one of which is the increase in the proportion of the elderly population. The trend of the proportion of the elderly population to the total population that continues to increase from year to year also occurs in Indonesia. However, the problem of increasing the proportion of the elderly is not balanced with adequate quality assurance. Population projection data in Indonesia, in 2017 it is estimated that there were 23.66 million elderly people, in 2020 it is predicted to reach 27.08 million people, in 2025 (33.69 million), in 2030 (40.95 million) and in 2035 (48.19 million). The increasing number of elderly people in Indonesia will have positive and negative impacts in the future. The increase in the number of elderly population where there is a decrease in organ function that can trigger various degenerative diseases. If not handled properly, it will increase the country's financial burden which is not small, and will reduce the quality of life of the elderly, because it will increase the morbidity rate and can even cause death. South Galesong is one of the sub-districts in Takalar Regency. The output targets of each problem solution are: 1) increasing the knowledge of Posyandu cadres about elderly diseases and elderly health services, 2) increasing the skills of Posyandu cadres about how to regularly check the health of the elderly, 3) increasing the skills of Posyandu cadres about elderly gymnastics.

Abstract

Program Posbindu PTM Waras di Menjing Wetan merupakan upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pencegahan penyakit tidak menular (PTM) melalui deteksi dini faktor risiko PTM. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan rutin setiap bulan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai pentingnya kebiasaan hidup yang sehat dan pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin. Pada kegiatan yang diadakan pada bulan Agustus 2024, sebanyak 51 orang masyarakat mengikuti pemeriksaan medis yang mencakup Pengukuran antropometri (berat badan, lingkar perut), pemeriksaan fisiologis (tekanan darah, kadar gula darah, kolesterol, asam urat), serta pemeriksaan lainnya. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan sebagian besar peserta, yaitu 51% penderita diabetes mellitus, disusul oleh hipertensi, kolesterol, dan asam urat. Program ini diharapkan dapat mengurangi prevalensi PTM melalui deteksi dini dan pemberdayaan kader kesehatan yang mampu memberikan edukasi dan mendampingi masyarakat. Dengan demikian, Posbindu PTM berperan penting bagi peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat, terutama dalam pencegahan dan pengelolaan faktor risiko PTM yang disebabkan oleh pola hidup tidak sehat, kurang aktivitas fisik, dan stres

Abstract

Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by infected and easily transmitted Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis mites and often occurs in high-density environments, such as Islamic boarding schools. One of the main causes of scabies is personal hygiene. Personal hygiene, also known as personal hygiene, is maintaining physical and mental cleanliness and health. Low knowledge and awareness of personal hygiene among students can increase the risk of this disease. The purpose of the counseling activity is to increase knowledge about personal hygiene and scabies among students at the Abdurrahman bin 'Auf Kendari Islamic boarding school. The method used is lectures and educational games using true and false boxes and mystery boxes. The number of participants in this education was 53 students. The results of the socialization showed that there was a difference in average knowledge before and after being given education with a statistical test using the Paired t-test. So it can be concluded that socialization of personal hygiene and scabies can increase student knowledge.

Abstract

The trend of technological development in education encourages teachers to improve their professionalism as educators to know the latest technology tools and the potential they can maximize to support their teaching activities in their classrooms. In response to that situation, this community service (henceforth called PkM) activity in the form of guest lecture was held for 30 Madrasah English teachers at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) levels in Kudus Regency. The guest lecture session was held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 12.30-4.30 pm (Western Indonesia Time) at the Postgraduate Building, Universitas Muria Kudus. In the material presentation session under the guidance of the author as the speaker of the session, the participants had the opportunity to try directly and experience the potential of various technology tools, such as Famous People Lessons, Readlang, WordSift, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Google AI Studio, which they could use for English teaching activities in their language classrooms. Overall, the PkM ran smoothly, and the participants responded positively to the PkM session. Finally, the author shares some notes on continuing this PkM in the future.

Abstract

HIV/AIDS merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan di dunia, khususnya di Indonesia. Tahun 2021 di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan tercatat bahwa kasus HIV dan AIDS paling tinggi terjadi di Kota Palembang. Pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS pada remaja salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan penyuluhan di sekolah. Tahap remaja adalah tahap yang mengalami perkembangan secara fisik maupun psikologi. Remaja ingin mengetahui lebih lanjut mengenai seksualitas. Informasi kesehatan reproduksi perlu diberikan karena perilaku seks pranikah menjadikan remaja rentan akan HIV. Teman sebaya atau peers educator adalah pelibatan remaja dalam seluruh proses promosi kesehatan yang diupayakan melalui sekolah. kegiatan pengabdian ini dilanjutkan pada bulan November 2024 yaitu dengan kegiatan pembentukan kelompok teman sebaya yang akan membantu dan memonitoring temannya dalam melanjutkan edukasi tentang pencegahan HIV/AIDS.kegiatan ini terdiri dari 15 orang dengan membentuk 3 kelompok yang masing-masing terdiri 5 orang. Hasil dari pengabdian ini domain pengetahuan mengalami peningkatan setelah diberikan pelatihan karena mereka juga adalah peserta yang memiliki pengetahuan baik juga di penyuluhan tahap pertama.

Abstract

The Real Work Lecture Program (KKN) aims to increase educational synergy and strengthen the empowerment of Islamic boarding schools. This activity was carried out for 30 days at the Al Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School, with a focus on improving the quality of students through practice-based training and seminars. In its implementation, communication obstacles are overcome through regular meetings, a clear leadership structure, and an organized division of tasks to strengthen coordination. Despite facing communication challenges, the KKN program at Al Wathoniyah Islamic Boarding School has succeeded in improving the quality of education and skills of students. The steps implemented during this activity had a positive impact on the development of students and society.

Abstract

Singaraja Village has large MSME potential, but it has not been utilized optimally. One of the obstacles faced by MSMEs is a lack of understanding about digital marketing, especially the use of the Google Maps application. This KKN activity aims to provide education and training to MSMEs in Singaraja Village regarding the importance of branding and how to use Google Maps as a marketing tool. The methods used in this activity are socialization, training and mentoring. MSME players are given an understanding of the concept of branding, the benefits of Google Maps for MSMEs, and how to register their business on Google Maps. Apart from that, they are also taught how to manage business information on Google Maps, such as adding product photos, opening hours and contact information. The results of this activity show that MSMEs in Singaraja Village are enthusiastic about participating in the training and understand the importance of branding for their business. They are also able to register their business on Google Maps and manage business information independently. By registering MSMEs on Google Maps, it is hoped that they can increase the visibility of their businesses, attract more customers, and ultimately increase revenue.

Abstract

Suicide is an attempt by someone to end their life. National Police data recorded 852 cases of suicide from January to August 2024. Case has increased compared to 2023 which was only 300 cases per year, suicide often occurs at the age of 17-25 years. Interpersonal Communication (KAP) is needed to overcome this incident. Purpose of this program to provide education to parents and adolescents about suicide prevention. Program was implemented at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran, developed in accordance with the community service plan of the University of Muhammadiyah Jember and government policies related to mental health care. Sample of this service is families and adolescents at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran. Method will be used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) through surveys and needs analysis: suicide prevention education, Interpersonal Communication (KAP) roleplay and family and adolescent assistance. Activity was carried out on February 1-20, 2025 at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran, attended by 79 adolescents and families. Activities include socialization of activities, suicide prevention education, roleplay of Interpersonal Communication (KAP) and mentoring of adolescents and families. Conclusion of the results obtained 100% of families expressed satisfaction with the Interpersonal Communication (KAP) program as evidenced by the majority of families wanting similar activities to be held at SMP Muhammadiyah 12 Paleran.
