Abstract

The implementation of a firewall-based network security system has become increasingly important in maintaining data integrity and availability within educational institutions. The Community Service Program (PPM) conducted by Politeknik Negeri Malang aims to enhance the network security infrastructure at SMA Islam Kepanjen, Malang Regency, through the implementation of Wazuh as a cybersecurity solution. This approach includes the installation and configuration of network infrastructure, security audits, and training for IT staff on independent firewall management. The implementation methodology involves site surveys, network topology design, hardware and software installation, system testing, and technical mentoring. The outcomes achieved include increased awareness of cybersecurity issues and improved capacity of partner personnel in managing the network infrastructure. With the implementation of Wazuh, it is expected that SMA Islam Kepanjen will be able to proactively address cyber threats and serve as a model for information technology implementation in other schools across Malang Regency.

Abstract

Free sex behavior is one of the serious problems faced by teenagers in Indonesia, which is caused by various factors such as lack of knowledge about reproductive health, the influence of socializing, and technological advances that facilitate access to sexual information. Based on the results of an initial survey of students at SMAN 1 Batuan, it was found that 60% of them did not fully understand the dangers, factors, impacts, and prevention of free sex. For this reason, Community Service activities were carried out through the "Health Talk Show" program with the theme Free Sex Is Not My Type as an effort to increase students' knowledge and awareness of free sex. The method of implementing the activity includes coordination, compiling educational materials, implementing health discussion with a two-way communication approach, and forming adolescent squad as extension agents. The results of the activity showed an increase in participant knowledge, from 63% in the less category to 66% in the good category after the program was implemented. These findings reinforce the importance of comprehensive sex education, family support, and ongoing guidance from various parties in shaping the character of responsible adolescents. This activity shows that an interactive educational approach based on local cultural values is effective in preventing risky sexual behavior among adolescents.

Abstract

In the digital era, the transformation of information systems has become a crucial element in enhancing the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This community service initiative focuses on the digitalization of sales operations at Yogurt Bark Fruity, a student-run culinary business offering healthy yogurt-based products. Previously, sales activities were conducted manually via WhatsApp and Instagram, which posed risks of recording errors and limited market reach. The proposed solution involves the development and implementation of the yogurtSalesPro application, based on the PPEPP method. This system is designed to integrate the management of transactions, inventory, customer data, and sales reporting. Evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) resulted in a score of 71.5, indicating a good level of usability. Additionally, assessment through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) revealed high scores across all indicators, with Perceived Usefulness and Perceived Ease of Use each achieving 100% positive responses. The application’s effectiveness is reflected in improved recording efficiency, a reduction in transaction errors from 15% to 2%, and an increase in both daily transactions and new customers. Beyond operational efficiency, the application also supports digital literacy and student entrepreneurship. Thus, yogurtSalesPro proves to be an effective solution in fostering innovation and sustainability for technology-based MSMEs.

Abstract

In Kemlagi District, Mojokerto Regency, a small and medium-sized batik enterprise, CV Ulur Wiji Muda Berdaya, has gained popularity among millennials due to its use of natural dyes that are environmentally friendly. The products have not only attracted domestic consumers but have also reached international markets. Despite this achievement, the enterprise continues to face a major challenge in managing batik dye wastewater, which has not received optimal treatment. To solve this issue, a community service program was implemented to provide technical assistance in wastewater treatment through training on filtration adsorption methods for the employees of CV Ulur Wiji. The filtration unit employed adsorption media consisting of foam filters, zeolite, activated carbon, coral stone, and Malang sand. The questionnaire results confirm that the partner has improved the application of wastewater treatment technology as a result of the program. The results of batik waste processing indicated an improvement in the waste quality, changing from a turbid color to a clearer appearance, with an initial pH of 6.3; after undergoing filtration-adsorption, the pH shifted to near neutral at 6.9. Furthermore, an additional outcome of this program is the successful development of an appropriate technology system for treating wastewater from batik dye using filtration–adsorption techniques.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance entrepreneurial creativity and skills among women members of the PKK RT 02/RW 15, Mangliawan Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency. The training was conducted using a hands-on approach by introducing the decoupage art technique, which involves decorating plain or used items with decorative napkins to increase their aesthetic and economic value. Decoupage art was selected due to its simplicity, affordability, ease of instruction, and potential to transform low-value materials into attractive products. The results show that all participants successfully applied decoupage techniques using two different deco-napkin patterns on two types of media—plastic bags with rough surfaces and flower pots with smooth surfaces—each requiring distinct treatment methods. Overall, the program effectively improved participants’ creativity, knowledge, and practical skills, demonstrating its potential to support women’s empowerment and household-based economic activities.
