Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of implementing the Card Sort strategy in Science learning (IPA) in grade V at MIS Miftahul Khoir Rasau Jaya. The Science learning at this school previously faced challenges related to low student engagement and difficulty in understanding abstract concepts. The Card Sort strategy was applied to improve student involvement, understanding of the material, and social skills such as collaboration and communication. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The results showed that the implementation of the Card Sort strategy significantly increased student engagement in Science learning. Students, who were previously passive, became more active in group discussions and concept sorting. This strategy also helped students understand Science material more deeply, particularly in connecting related concepts. Furthermore, Card Sort encouraged students to collaborate in groups, enhancing their collaboration and communication skills. Student motivation also improved, as the learning became more interactive and enjoyable. The implementation of this method also led to improved learning outcomes, as evidenced by tests showing better comprehension of Science material. Therefore, the Card Sort strategy was proven effective in enhancing the quality of Science learning in grade V at MIS Miftahul Khoir Rasau Jaya.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the Information Search strategy on students' learning interest and reading comprehension achievements in elementary schools. The Information Search strategy engages students in actively seeking information from various sources, designed to enhance their cognitive skills, critical thinking, and understanding of the learning materials. The research employs a quantitative approach with an experimental design. The results reveal that this strategy significantly improves students' learning interest, as evidenced by the questionnaire results before and after implementation. Additionally, students' reading comprehension achievements improved significantly, with the average score increasing from 70 to 85 after the treatment. The strategy also encourages active student participation in group discussions and resource utilization. Thus, the Information Search strategy can serve as an innovative alternative to enhance students' interest and learning outcomes, particularly in reading comprehension.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a guide to human life, and learning Tahfidz is an important means to foster students' love for it. This study aims to reveal effective strategies to increase the motivation to learn Tahfidz of MI Al-Mukhlashin students. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, principals, and students, as well as documentation studies in the form of learning records and student achievements. The primary data source used Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers and principals. The results showed that several strategies proved effective. First, the application of varied learning methods, such as group recitation and the use of audio media, proved to be able to overcome boredom and increase students' understanding of the Qur'an. The use of methods tailored to students' learning styles is also an important factor. Second, a structured and fair reward system, whether in the form of praise, prizes, or certificates, has a positive influence and motivates students to continue to excel in memorizing. This system also needs to be combined with a healthy competition system between students, so as to foster enthusiasm for learning and motivate each other. Third, the active role of parents as the main supporters of Tahfidz learning at home is very significant. Interview results show that parental support in the form of mentoring, creating a conducive learning environment, and providing spiritual motivation contribute greatly to student success. In addition, effective communication between the school and parents is also influential in monitoring students' learning progress and providing solutions to the obstacles faced.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of school principals in decision-making for educational planning at MTs Al-Munawaro. Decision-making in educational planning is a crucial aspect that affects the quality and direction of educational policies in schools. Using a qualitative approach, this research explores the experiences, views, and perceptions of the principal and teachers in the decision-making process. The findings show that the principal begins the decision-making process by gathering accurate data on human resources, school facilities, and student academic performance. Subsequently, the principal evaluates various decision alternatives, considering the budget, short- and long-term needs, and stakeholder involvement. The decisions made include curriculum planning, improvement of learning facilities, and teacher professional development programs. Decision implementation is monitored through regular evaluation meetings and feedback from stakeholders. The study also identifies challenges in decision-making, such as budget limitations that impact planning. Overall, the decision-making process carried out by the school principal plays an important role in enhancing the quality of education at MTs Al-Munawaro, despite various challenges that need to be addressed.

Abstract

The role of the school principal is very important in determining the direction and success of educational institutions. This article discusses how school principals can be a driving force in implementing strategic management concepts in schools. With a systematic approach, school principals can ensure the school's vision and mission are achieved effectively. This study also highlights strategic steps that school principals can take in planning, implementing and evaluating strategic management. In addition, this article identifies the main challenges faced in implementing strategic management and offers practical recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of school principals' strategic leadership. By understanding this role in depth, school principals can create an innovative, inclusive and sustainable educational environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of educators and education personnel at UPT Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) 169 Gresik, with a focus on the management process, the influencing factors, and the outcomes related to enhancing the professional competence of educators. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as direct observation, in-depth interviews, documentation, and document analysis. The data were analyzed thematically, following a systematic process of data grouping, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the management of education personnel at UPT SDN 169 Gresik encompasses several stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the planning stage, a schedule is established, and additional responsibilities are assigned to teaching staff beyond their teaching duties. The implementation stage includes supervising task execution and providing training aimed at improving professional competence. The evaluation stage is conducted periodically through interviews, documentation collection, and performance assessments of teaching staff based on established school management standards. Factors influencing this process include the quality of human resources, school policies, and prioritized student needs. The results of this management approach demonstrate an enhancement in the professional competence of educators, which positively impacts the achievement of educational standards at UPT SDN 169 Gresik. This study concludes that systematic management of educators and education personnel, grounded in student needs, can lead to improved quality of education. The findings may serve as a valuable reference for other educational institutions seeking to manage their teaching staff effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

Innovation of Al-Qur'an learning methods in facing technological developments. The background of the study is the importance of learning the Al-Qur'an from an early age amidst the challenges of digital disruption. This study aims to identify innovative strategies for learning the Al-Qur'an that are relevant, interesting, and consider socio-cultural values. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type and survey method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation at SDIT Ukhuwah and SDIT Sabilal Muhtadin Banjarmasin. This data collection technique uses interviews, observation sheets to evaluate learning methods, student involvement, and the influence of technology. Primary data sources are teachers, students. The results of the study that applied the innovative learning methods of Ummi and Tilawati, the Ummi method prioritizes a simple, fun, and heart-touching approach. The results of this study state that the Tilawati method focuses on interactive learning of the classical Simak reading technique. Both methods are designed to help students master reading the Al-Qur'an in tajwid and tartil. Innovation of the Al-Qur'an learning method is able to answer the challenges of the digital era by integrating an approach based on Islamic values ​​and technology. This provides a great opportunity to increase students' interest and understanding of the Qur'an, while strengthening character and morals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa, khususnya siswa kelas rendah, melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Make a Match. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas I di SD Negeri Gandikan, Tretep, Temanggung. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang terdiri atas dua siklus, di mana setiap siklus melibatkan tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumen, yang bertujuan untuk membandingkan kondisi awal sebelum penerapan model Make a Match dengan kondisi setelah penerapannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Make a Match efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas I SD Negeri Gandikan, Temanggung. Sebelum intervensi, kemampuan membaca siswa berada pada angka 57%, kemudian meningkat menjadi 70% pada siklus I, dan lebih lanjut meningkat menjadi 82% pada siklus II.

Abstract

Kondisi perekonomian dalam suatu keluarga menjadi suatu hal penting untuk keberlangsungan hidupnya. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa keadaan ekonomi yang dirasa kurang mencukupi dalam memenuhi kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari menyebabkan terjadinya perantauan di beberapa keluarga. Sehingga sebagian orang tua dari mereka meninggalkan anak-anaknya. Hal ini menyebabkan anak yang ditinggal merantau orang tuanya mengalami kekurangan perhatian dan kasih sayang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang membuat orang di Desa Aeng Panas merantau dan untuk mengetahui bentuk-bentuk problem psikososial pada remaja yang ditinggal orangtuanya merantau. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode psikososial Erik Erikson. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor utama perantauan adalah kurangnya lapangan pekerjaan, motivasi dari masyarakat yang telah merantau, dan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan. Sementara itu, problem psikososial pada remaja yang ditinggal merantau termasuk perilaku boros, pendiam dalam keluarga, kurang disiplin di sekolah, serta penurunan prestasi akademis. Di masyarakat, mereka lebih tertarik bersosialisasi dengan dunia luar dibandingkan lingkungan sekitar, yang menyebabkan perilaku mereka sering dianggap bertentangan dengan norma-norma setempat.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah memengaruhi berbagai sektor kehidupan, termasuk dalam pendidikan dasar Islam. Media digital, khususnya media sosial seperti YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, dan TikTok, kini menjadi instrumen strategis dalam mendukung transformasi dakwah Islam di lingkungan pendidikan dasar, termasuk pada lembaga pondok pesantren. Sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tradisional, pondok pesantren menunjukkan kemampuan adaptif dengan memanfaatkan platform digital guna memperluas jangkauan penyebaran nilai-nilai Islam yang moderat kepada masyarakat luas, khususnya peserta didik usia dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan pendekatan analisis isi untuk mengkaji peran media digital dalam pelaksanaan dakwah berbasis pesantren yang menyasar generasi muda. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa dakwah digital berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan aksesibilitas informasi keagamaan, penguatan karakter religius, serta penyampaian materi dakwah secara kreatif dan interaktif. Di samping peluang yang ditawarkan, tantangan yang muncul meliputi keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, rendahnya literasi digital, serta upaya menjaga keaslian nilai-nilai pesantren dalam lingkungan digital. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pengelolaan konten yang berkelanjutan dan berbasis nilai keislaman, dengan dukungan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten di bidang media dan dakwah digital
