Abstract

The research aimed to evaluate the impact of tourist facilities on tourists' revisitation interest, with satisfaction serving as a mediating factor in Lake Toba's tourist destinations. The study involved a sample of 120 visitors to Lake Toba. This investigation utilized a quantitative approach, relying on primary data collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents, using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The analysis was conducted using a hierarchical structure modeled through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the AMOS-20 (Analysis of Moment Structure) software. The findings reveal that tourist facilities exert a positive and significant influence on both tourist satisfaction and their intention to revisit Lake Toba. Additionally, satisfaction significantly impacts tourists' revisitation interest. As a mediating factor, satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between tourist facilities and tourists' intention to revisit Lake Toba.

Abstract

Effective teaching requires connecting with students and addressing their emotional needs. This study examines the relationships among academic performance, effort, self-efficacy, enjoyment, hopelessness, and teachers' affective support in mathematics education. Using PLS-SEM with WarpPLS 7.0, data from 261 Bongabon Senior High School learners were analyzed. Results show that lower-performing students may exert more effort to improve, as academic performance negatively influences effort. Teachers' affective support enhances self-efficacy and belonging but negatively impacts performance. Enjoyment significantly influences effort, self-efficacy, and hopelessness but not performance. Belonging improves self-efficacy and enjoyment but does not affect hopelessness. Findings highlight emotional support's role in fostering self-efficacy and enjoyment, recommending further exploration of mediators and strategies to enhance student achievement.

Abstract

Achieving the criteria of a SAMARA family (Sakinah, Mawaddah, Rahmah) in a household involves cultivating an environment of peace, love, and compassion within the family. Islamic Sharia provides a divine framework for family life, emphasizing the importance of faith, mutual respect, and fulfilling the duties and rights of each family member. The pursuit of a SAMARA family begins with mutual understanding, trust, and support between husband and wife, underpinned by a shared commitment to religious values and the application of these principles in daily life. This study explores the essential components of a SAMARA family, which include emotional harmony (Sakinah), love and affection (Mawaddah), and compassion (Rahmah), all of which contribute to a balanced and sustainable marital relationship. By adhering to these principles, families can overcome challenges and create a nurturing environment that fosters both individual and collective well-being. The goal of this study is to outline the steps and strategies necessary to build a SAMARA family, ensuring the stability and prosperity of the household, in line with Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This article explores the demographic and economic factors influencing Uzbekistan's pension system, including economic employment, retirement age, life expectancy, and family-related trends such as marriage, divorce, and birth rates. It also considers the cultural traditions and mentality of the Uzbek population, which significantly impact the system's development. Adopting a qualitative approach, the study analyzes the existing methodology for calculating old-age pensions and its alignment with demographic and socio-economic realities. The findings highlight that demographic characteristics and economic conditions, such as employment rates and population structure, contribute to disparities in pension provision. Additionally, cultural norms and traditions play a role in shaping public expectations of the pension system. The article identifies shortcomings in the current methodology for pension calculation, particularly in addressing socio-economic justice. Proposals are made to enhance fairness, recognize unpaid work, and improve transparency in the pension system. The study underscores the need for reforms to align Uzbekistan's pension system with the socio-economic and demographic context, ensuring greater equity and sustainability.

Abstract

The agricultural sector plays a crucial role in meeting societal needs but is undergoing significant transitions. Farmers are increasingly shifting from cultivating food crops, such as rice and vegetables, to industrial crops like oil palm. This shift is driven by economic factors, with farmers perceiving industrial crops as more lucrative due to their higher market value. The transition also reflects broader social changes, as described by Gillin and Gillin's concept of social change, where variations in material culture and ideology influence community lifestyles. Using a qualitative approach, this study explores the socio-economic drivers of this phenomenon and its implications. Findings suggest that dissatisfaction with the economic value of traditional crops and increased awareness of new agricultural opportunities, facilitated by innovation and information access, are key factors. This trend aligns with Etzioni Halevy's linear societal development patterns, highlighting the interplay between economic incentives and social evolution. Understanding these dynamics is essential for managing agricultural transitions to ensure sustainable practices, food security, and socio-economic stability.

Abstract

Cikaso is one of several areas in Sukabumi Regency has the highest glass eel catch production. Glass eel catch in the Cikaso area occurs in two areas, around the estuary and river. One of the most dominant glass eel catch species is Anguilla bicolor bicolor. This study compared the length structure of glass eels A. bicolor bicolor caught in the Cikaso Estuary and River areas. Glass eels were caught using a push net with a mesh size of 0.48 mm every month from December 2020 to April 2021. The study revealed that the average length of glass eels A. bicolor bicolor, caught in the river area, was longer (98.0 mm) than those caught in the estuary area (91.2 mm). This is thought to be due to growth factors and the natural selection of glass eels A. bicolor bicolor during their movement in the recruitment process to the Cikaso River area.
