The study involved direct interviews with the owner of Angkringan D’Amerta to analyze TQM application covering quality control procedures, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. Results indicated a deeper understanding of customer preferences and the importance of maintaining quality standards through the training of staff and development of operational procedures. The findings suggest that effective quality management can significantly enhance business performance and customer engagement in the digital era. The paper advocates for routine training, implementation of standard operating procedures, and regular quality assessments to ensure consistent service and product quality.

Abstract

Infertility, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), affects approximately 8-12% of couples of reproductive age worldwide. In Indonesia, its prevalence ranges from 10-15%, meaning about 4-6 million couples require treatment to conceive. The incidence of infertility is influenced by various factors, including access to and the quality of healthcare services. Therefore, healthcare providers’ knowledge and awareness of infertility play a crucial role in its management, leading to early detection and appropriate referrals to advanced healthcare facilities. Given the limited access to information and healthcare services in remote areas, educating and promoting early detection of infertility by healthcare providers is essential to improving healthcare quality in those regions. This community service activity aims to enhance healthcare workers' understanding of diagnosing infertility, ensuring that patients are promptly referred for further treatment. The activity took place on Friday, November 15, 2024, via Zoom Meeting, in collaboration with an experienced OB/GYN doctor in Kupang. A total of 27 participants attended, consisting of 20 people from Bakunase Health Center and 7 people from Sikumana Health Center.

Abstract

This community service program aims to develop nutraceutical-based health products from temu mangga (Curcuma mangga Val.van Zip) and probiotics, called "TEMAPRO". Research and socialization were conducted in Pulau Semambu Village, South Sumatra, targeting village mothers who have limited knowledge about the benefits of herbs and probiotics. Temu mangga, which is traditionally consumed as a salad and herbal medicine, contains various active compounds that have the potential as antioxidants and anti-cancer. Combined with the probiotic Lactobacillus rhamnosus, this product is expected to support digestive health and increase body immunity. Implementation methods include education, training in making temu mangga extract, mixing with probiotics, and product packaging techniques. The results of the activities showed an increase in community understanding and skills in processing local materials into health products with economic value. It is hoped that "TEMAPRO" will not only improve the quality of public health, but also open up business opportunities in the village through local nutraceutical products.

Abstract

The development of natural skincare products, such as spinach powder face masks, is becoming increasingly popular as a safe and environmentally friendly alternative. However, many beginner entrepreneurs lack understanding of proper packaging and labeling techniques, which can reduce product appeal and consumer trust. This community service activity aimed to enhance students’ skills in applying effective packaging and labeling techniques as part of product branding strategies. The implementation methods included knowledge delivery through training sessions, literature review on cosmetic packaging standards, creative design of attractive packaging and labels, and hands-on practice in packaging and labeling the spinach powder face mask products. The results showed that students gained new insights into the importance of packaging and labeling in building brand image. Abstract

Anemia is a hematological disorder that is often not recognized in the adult age group. One lifestyle factor that can affect hemoglobin and hematocrit levels is the consumption of tea or coffee with meals, because the tannin and polyphenol content inhibits the absorption of non-heme iron. Early detection of hemoglobin and hematocrit levels accompanied by education about eating and drinking habits is an important strategy in preventing anemia. This screening activity is carried out using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) approach. Examination of hemoglobin and hematocrit levels is carried out using Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) from capillary blood. Education is provided to all participants through leaflets and group counseling regarding the effect of tea and coffee consumption on iron absorption. A total of 91 participants took part in this activity, consisting of 39.6% men and 60.4% women, with an average age of 47.4 years. The average hemoglobin was recorded at 11.2 ± 1.6 g/dL and hematocrit at 33.0 ± 4.7%. As many as 42.9% of participants experienced anemia based on hemoglobin levels below normal values according to gender. Hemoglobin and hematocrit examinations successfully identified a significant proportion of individuals at risk of anemia. Education on the right time to consume tea or coffee and increasing consumption of foods rich in iron and vitamin C are preventive interventions that can be applied to maintain optimal hematological status. Abstract

Liver disease is an increasingly prevalent health problem among the productive-age population, primarily driven by unhealthy lifestyles, alcohol consumption, obesity, and the risk of hepatitis infection. Liver dysfunction often presents no specific symptoms in its early stages, making early detection challenging. The Community Service Program (PKM) conducted in Grogol Village aimed to raise public awareness about the importance of early liver function screening through SGOT and SGPT enzyme assessments. This activity included education on risk factors as well as on-site liver enzyme testing for participants. Among the 71 participants, 18 individuals (25.35%) had elevated SGOT levels, and 17 individuals (23.94%) showed SGPT levels exceeding normal limits. These findings highlight the importance of early liver function screening in preventing the progression to chronic liver diseases such as NAFLD or hepatitis, and in serving as an indicator of cardiometabolic risk. Therefore, routine liver enzyme testing can serve as a foundation for increasing public awareness about the importance of maintaining liver and metabolic health in a sustainable manner.

In order to improve the quality of students, 28 students were sent to learn about how to promote MSME products through social media. This training aims to explore how vocational schools can effectively utilize social media to promote their MSME products by recognizing the differences in characteristics and functions of each platform. With this approach, patterns of social media usage that are right on target can be found as well as training or mentoring strategies that are in accordance with student needs. The results of this training can be a reference for developing relevant and applicable digital marketing learning modules in the vocational high school environment.
