Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of foreign language learning at SMK Darul Amanah, a school based in a pesantren (Islamic boarding school), which integrates the learning of Arabic and English into students' daily lives. Foreign language learning at this school is designed to develop students' language skills in both religious and professional contexts. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the planning of foreign language learning at SMK Darul Amanah involves clear objectives, focusing on mastering Arabic for religious purposes and English for professional needs. The implementation of learning is carried out intensively through various extracurricular programs such as Muhadloroh, Mufrodat Pagi, and Muhadasah Yaumiyah, which enable students to practice speaking in both languages. Evaluation is conducted through written tests, oral assessments, and portfolios. This contextual and practice-based learning approach has proven effective in improving students' foreign language skills, with the integration of language use into daily life further enhancing natural language acquisition. This research contributes to the development of foreign language learning based on pesantren models in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to recontextualise the purpose of Islamic education in the modern era in the perspective of the Qur'an, especially Surah Ali Imran verses 187-191, using Tafsir Al-Wasith and Tafsir Al-Ibriz. This research uses library research method with descriptive qualitative approach. The results show that the recontextualisation of the objectives of Islamic education in the modern era includes several main aspects, namely: (1) conveying and practising the truth, (2) creating reform and happiness, (3) strengthening the spiritual dimension and belief in the existence of God, (4) increasing critical reasoning, and (5) integrating religion and science. Thus, individuals who have a high level of education are expected to not only have a strong spiritual dimension and always remember the existence of God, but also have a high intellect in order to avoid the distortion and dichotomy of science.

Abstract

Self-Directed Learning is an approach that emphasizes student independence in managing the learning process. However, the implementation of Self-Directed Learning faces challenges, especially for students who have limited time and energy to learn optimally. In coastal environments, many students are involved in helping their parents work as fishermen, which has an impact on their physical and mental condition during the learning process. This phenomenon causes some students to appear daydreaming in class, lose focus, and tend to be less active in participating in learning. This research aims to find out what form of strategy and implementation of Self-Directed Learning at MAN 1 Probolinggo is suitable for increasing their active participation in class. This research uses qualitative methods with interviews centered on students, teachers and parents in coastal environments as the main subjects. The research results show that the personal approach significantly increases student activity in class. Teachers who use this approach interact more often directly with students, both individually and in small groups. This interaction creates a comfortable and supportive learning atmosphere, so that students feel more confident to participate actively in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education in encouraging real action for environmental conservation, with a focus on efforts to green the earth based on faith values. The research method used is a literature study, which involves the analysis of library sources to understand the concepts and principles of Islamic teachings related to the environment and their application in education. The results of the study indicate that Islamic Religious Education has significant potential in building ecological awareness and responsible behavior towards the environment through the internalization of Islamic values. Islamic teachings emphasize the harmonious relationship between humans and nature, responsible resource management, and the importance of preserving the earth as a divine mandate. Implications for the future are the need to develop a more integrative and contextual Islamic Religious Education curriculum and learning methods, which connect religious values ​​with global environmental issues. In addition, this study encourages the active involvement of Islamic educational institutions, religious figures, and Muslim communities in the environmental conservation movement, as well as cross-sector collaboration to achieve sustainable development goals. Thus, Islamic Religious Education can be a transformative force in realizing a greener and more sustainable earth based on faith principles.

Abstract

This study attempts to discuss the influence of the PAIKEM Learning Model in learning aqidah akhlak in improving student learning motivation and student learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Lahat. To find answers to these problems, the author conducted a study using quantitative research methods. The sample was divided into two, namely the control class and the experimental class. The control class used textbooks as learning resources for learning aqidah akhlak, while the experimental class used the PAIKEM Learning Model. From the research data that the author found, the majority of grade VIII students liked and accepted the delivery of aqidah akhlak lessons using the PAIKEM Learning Model, the learning motivation of students who used the PAIKEM Learning Model had an average of 39.73 and those who did not use the PAIKEM Learning Model 30.61, there was an increase of 29.80% from the class that did not use the PAIKEM Learning Model. The average student learning outcomes were 82.83 while the class that did not use the PAIKEM Learning Model was 63.02. Thus, there was an increase of 31% from the class that did not use the PAIKEM Learning Model. Likewise, in class VII students who use the PAIKEM Learning Model have an average learning motivation of 39.12 and classes that do not use 35.57 there is an increase of 10.83% from classes that do not use the PAIKEM Learning Model. The learning outcomes of students who use the PAIKEM Learning Model are higher than classes that do not use the PAIKEM Learning Model, namely an average value of 70.19 while classes that do not use the PAIKEM Learning Model are 60 thus there is an increase of 24.26% from classes that do not use the PAIKEM Learning Model. Thus it can be concluded that the learning system using the PAIKEM Learning Model media (new method) can be used for the learning process of aqidah akhlak at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 3 Lahat, and the new method (using the PAIKEM Learning Model) is better than the old method (without the PAIKEM Learning Model).

Abstract

In line with the development of the times, MTsN 1 Lahat and MTsN 3 Lahat have implemented the tahfidz program of juz 30. This tahfidz program of juz 30 is a superior program adopted by the Ministry of Religion as a form of habituation for students to memorize the Al-Qur'an, especially for juz 30. This program must be followed by all students from grade VII to grade IX. The target to be achieved is to make graduates of this junior high school as memorizers of the Al-Qur'an juz 30. The objectives of this study are, 1) To analyze the implementation of the tahfidz program of Al-Qur'an juz 30 at MTs N 1 Lahat and MTs N 3 Lahat. 2) To analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the tahfidz program of Al-Qur'an juz 30 at MTsN 1 Lahat and MTsN 3 Lahat. Meanwhile, the type of research used in this study is a qualitative research type in the form of a multi-site study approach at MTs N 1 Lahat and MTs N 3 Lahat. The results of this study are, first, in the implementation of memorizing the Al-Quran juz 30 which is held every Friday at MTs N 1 Lahat, the talaqqi method is applied. This method includes various other approaches such as the bi nazhar method which involves looking at the mushaf, as well as tahfidz which focuses on memorization. After students memorize, they will submit their memorization to the instructor with a maximum limit of 5 verses. Second, the Implementation of the Al-Qur'an Juz 30 Memorization Program with the Muraja'ah Method and Supporting and Inhibiting Factors at MTs N 3 Lahat. By carrying out memorization and deposit every day, as well as doing tashih every week to repeat memorization and assess the extent of reading fluency, tahfidz becomes very effective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between the intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation and the level of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) character among 3rd grade students of MI Thoriqul Huda in the context of Merdeka Curriculum implementation and Pancasila Student Profile development. Using a correlational quantitative approach, the research involved 25 third-grade students selected through total sampling. Data collection was conducted through structured observation to measure the intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation over 8 weeks, questionnaires to measure gotong royong character, documentation, and semi-structured interviews as supporting data. The results showed a very strong and significant positive relationship between the intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation and students' gotong royong character level. The intensity of congregational Dhuha Prayer implementation contributed 97.2% to students' gotong royong character level. Further analysis found that the cooperation ability indicator had the highest correlation, while conflict resolution ability had the lowest. This research provides empirical evidence that the habitual congregational Dhuha Prayer program can be an effective means of developing gotong royong character according to the Pancasila Student Profile dimensions and demonstrates the potential integration of Islamic values with national character education in Merdeka Curriculum implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the values ​​of moral education contained in the animated series "Ibra Bercerita" and to spread its relevance to the Aqidah Akhlak material taught in class VIII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). The research method used is a literature review method with a content analysis approach. Data were collected through observations of selected episodes of the animated series and analyzed to identify the moral values ​​contained therein, such as ikhtiar, tawakal, terimakasih, sabar, qanaah, husnudzon, tawadhu, tasamuh, and taawun. The results of the study indicate that the animation "Ibra Bercerita" contains various moral education values ​​that are in accordance with the Aqidah Akhlak material of class VIII of Madrasah Tsanawiyah. The implementation of these values ​​in classroom learning can enrich students' learning experiences and support the achievement of moral education goals. This study recommends the use of animation media as an effective learning tool to teach moral values ​​to students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the values ​​of faith and devotion education contained in the anime film "The Journey", and its relevance to the material 'Faith in Allah" in grade 7 of junior high school. The method used in this study is content analysis to explore religious messages and moral values ​​in the storyline, characters, and dialogues of the film. The results of the analysis show that the film "The Journey" conveys various values ​​of faith and devotion education related to faith in Allah, such as signs of Allah's power, stories of the Prophets & Apostles, and the application of Faith in everyday life. This study also links these values ​​with basic competencies and learning objectives in the Islamic Religious Education curriculum at junior high school level. So it is expected to provide an alternative learning media that is interesting and relevant for students. In conclusion, "The Journey" is not only a work of entertainment art, but also a learning tool that has the potential to strengthen the faith and devotion of the younger generation.

Abstract

Character education in early childhood is crucial in shaping children's personalities and attitudes from an early age. However, many children still struggle to understand character values due to the lack of engaging and culturally relevant learning media. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Megafest Lupis Raksasa storybook in instilling noble character values and a spirit of tolerance in early childhood. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The subjects of this study were 15 children aged 4-6 years at TK Batik Wonopringgo, Pekalongan, while the object of the study was a culturally based storybook. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation, utilizing an instrument framework to assess children's character aspects. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to identify patterns in children's character development. The findings indicate that using a culturally based storybook enhances children's understanding of character values such as sharing, cooperation, and respecting differences. This study recommends integrating culturally based media into the early childhood education curriculum and providing training for educators to optimize the use of culturally relevant learning media.
