Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the strategy of building literacy culture throughstorytelling. The method which is used in this study is descriptive qualitative, namely libraryresearch. This method was conducted using some steps, in purpose to collect data andinformation from various reading sources in the form of books and material in the library. Thisstudy used a qualitative approach, using an analytical descriptive analysis. The results of thisstudy indicated that 1) literacy ability was the key someone’s success, because it would opentheir scientific horizons, 2) literacy culture must be built since early childhood, because it wouldaffect the children personality throughout their ages, 3) stories or story telling had veryimportant role in the building of children's mentality and the building a literacy culture. 4) Thestrategy of building a literacy culture through storytelling, conducted in several ways: Choosethe story which suited with the child's situation and condition, and read it. Involve diverseemotions and intonations in reading stories. Give motivation to children to read on their own sothat the children could read independently. Provide a variety of reading books. Motivatechildren to read on their own. Listen to the children when they read a book, don't forget to givea positive appreciation. Give the children motivation to tell about the reading contents.Appreciate the slightest achievement which could be achieved by the children

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand how the concept of inclusive education for earlychildhood and how the application in ECE (Early Childhood Education) institutions in serving children with special needs (Exceptional Children) following current community needs. The study was done through library research. This method consisted of several steps, namely collecting data and information from various books and materials in the library. Reading sources used such as reference books, scientific journals, newspapers, magazines and electronic media. Therefore, the study can be concluded as follows. Three main things related to the implementation of inclusive services, namely 1). Understanding the characteristics of children and their special needs, 2) Building a comfort nuance when interacting with children, and 3) Building a child's closeness. It is necessary to make an inclusion class in purpose to realize the inclusive service. Related to Inclusion Class, there are some conclusions related to that topic, namely. 1)Managing learning environments that accommodate children with special needs. 2) applying peer tutoring. 3) carrying out scaffolding strategies, 4) Developing social acceptance of children with special needs (Exceptional Children) 5) Guiding and directing the behavior of all students. Indeed, they can accept and behave positively toward children with special needs (Exceptional children)

Abstract

Pembelajaran area dirancang untuk memenuhi kebutuhan anak dan menekankan pada pemenuhan kebutuhan pengalaman individual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pembelajaran area dalam mengembangkan sosial emosional anak usia 5-6 tahun di TK Al-Amin Jember. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran area di TK Al-Amin Jember meliputi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. TK Al-Amin Jember menggunakan enam area dalam pembelajaran yakni area agama, area sains, area balok, area bahasa, area matematika, area seni. Sikap yang ditunjukkan anak dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran area adalah dapat menaati aturan permainan, mengetahui haknya, serta dapat mengatur diri sendiri sesuai dengan Standart Tingkat Pencapaian Perkembangan Anak (STPPA) usia 5-6 tahun indikator rasa tanggung jawab untuk diri sendiri dan orang lain pada aspek perkembangan sosial emosional.

Abstract

Meningkatnya penggunaan gadget pada anak usia dini selama pendemi menjadi pembicaraan yang hangat. Kekhawatiran mengenai dampak gadget pada perkembangan kreativitas anak usia dini menjadi topik yang menarik untuk dikaji. Kreativitas anak penting dikembangkan sejak dini karena masa keemasan anak tidak akan terulang kembali, akan sangat disayangkan apabila masa keemasan anak hanya asyik bermain gadget tanpa mendukung perkembangan kreativitasnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara narasumber yakni ibu anak usia dini di Desa Plembutan. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk mencari tahu dampak yang ditimbukan oleh penggunaan gadget terhadap perkembangan kreativitas anak selama pembeajaran anak dialihkan di rumah akibat pandemi covid-19. Dari hasil wawancara dan observasi, gadget membawa dampak positif bagi perkembangan kreativitas anak usia dini selama pandemi, penggunaan gadget dapat mendukung kreativitas anak namun tetap memerlukan dukungan orang tua agar anak merefleksikan apa yang ia dapatkan dari bermain gadget.

Abstract

Recognition of educational institutions is demonstrated through accreditation and quality of teaching. This research aims to explain the influence of PAUD accreditation readiness on the quality of teaching in 40 PAUDs in Banguntapan. Research methodology uses quantitative descriptive. The results showed the existence of six criteria for the willingness of accreditation mechanisms that must be met, among others: first, general requirements; Second, special requirements; third, classification of accreditation applications; fourth, the completeness of the document; fifth, validation and verification; and sixth, accreditation results. The results showed X2h>X2t, where there was a significant influence on accreditation readiness to the quality of teaching in PAUD Banguntapan. Meanwhile, six schools focus on general requirements, and six schools also on specific needs. Twelve schools prepare for the early stages of the school's survival. Furthermore, eight schools in the preparation stage of accreditation application classification; seven schools in the readiness stage of the process and awaiting visit; ten schools in terms of validation and verification; And three schools are fully prepared for accreditation.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to describe and analyze teachers' experience with practicing loose part media innovation in early childhood learning and their implications for child development.Design/methods/approach – This study is qualitative descriptive with phenomenological design. The subject of this study is four teachers at PAUD Wadas Kelir. Data collection processes obtain through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, and data analysis processes by reducing, presenting, and verifying data.Findings – The results of this study are that the loose part media innovation carried out by the teachers at PAUD Wadas Kelir includes the selection of loose part materials, motions, learning materials, and song or rhythm. The implication of loose part media in early childhood learning is the achievement of child development aspects, children's fine motor development in the form of coordination, and the ability To make motion simple like the clap. Development of cognitive showed with the child's ability to read and mention letters and numbers. Development of child art showed the ability to coordinate motion with rhythm or song, as well as a creation from loose parts material. Finally, the development of language child showed with the acquisition of new vocabulary and the ability to read the moment or after the play following the writing or the shape that has been compiled.Research implications/limitations – This study only focuses on aspects of loose part media innovation in the learning process and its implications for children’s development, so the limitations of this research are developmental aspects that are not focused on and are less sharp.Practical implications – This study contributes as additional reference material for teachers to develop loose media for children learning.Originality/value – This study gives a deep understanding of the innovation of learning media with loose part materials.Paper type: Research paper

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali penggunaan metode bermain dalam pengajaran sholat kepada anak usia dini, dengan fokus pada penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang penuh kegembiraan. Pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data mengenai efektivitas metode ini dalam membangun dasar ibadah pada anak. Subjek penelitian melibatkan anak-anak usia dini di beberapa taman kanak-kanak yang menerapkan kurikulum pendidikan Islam. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti mengembangkan serangkaian aktivitas bermain yang dirancang khusus untuk mengenalkan konsep dan praktik sholat. Aktivitas ini meliputi permainan peran, lagu, dan cerita interaktif yang mengintegrasikan aspek-aspek penting dalam sholat, seperti wudhu, gerakan sholat, dan bacaan sholat. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan guru serta orang tua, untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman, minat, dan sikap anak-anak terhadap ibadah sholat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode bermain memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam meningkatkan pemahaman, minat, dan sikap positif anak-anak terhadap sholat. Anak-anak menunjukkan peningkatan kegembiraan dan antusiasme dalam belajar sholat, yang secara tidak langsung memperkuat dasar ibadah mereka. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis bermain dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam pendidikan agama, khususnya dalam membangun fondasi ibadah pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap pengembangan pendekatan pedagogis dalam pendidikan Islam anak usia dini, dengan menekankan pada pentingnya menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan bermakna.

Abstract

Parents’ involvement in kids’ education is significant for their development process and learning quality. Discontinuity between schools and parents in kid’s education will hinder their learning process. This study aims to determine the partnership built by Kusuma 1 Kindergarten, Sleman, Yogyakarta with parents in improving participatory learning. This research is qualitative. Data were collected using documentation and interviews with the school principal, teachers, and a representative of parents. The data were analyzed using an interactive analysis model developed by Miles and Huberman which includes data collection, data processing, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the school and parents made programmed activities, such as introducing the school’s vision, mission, and goals, parenting activities, learning activities outside the classroom with parents, P5 activities, and planning and evaluating the school budget for the learning process.

Abstract

Pendidikan anak usia dini merupakan fase kritis dalam pembentukan pengembangan anak. Salah satu individu yang sangat berperan dalam pengembangan pendidikan ini adalah Ki Hadjar Dewantara, pencetus Taman Siswa yang gigih memperjuangkan akses pendidikan bagi semua anak, termasuk dari kalangan pribumi. Konstribusi beliau telah membawa perubahan besar dalam tata cara pendidikan di Indonesia.  Dalam konteks pendidikan anak usia dini, pendekatan Taman Indria menjadi fokus utama. Implementasi pendekatan Taman Indria menawarkan metode pembelajaran menarik dan menyenangkan bagi anak-anak.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui model pendekatan Taman Indria Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan  implementasinya dalam pendidikan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan  kajian kepustakaan (Library Research), pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan cara meninjau dan menganalisis berbagai sumber pustaka yang sudah dipublikasikan, termasuk buku dan artikel ilmiah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pendekatan Taman Indria Ki Hajar Dewantara menekankan pentingnya pembelajaran berbasis alam, pengembangan keterampilan holistik, pendidikan karakter, dan integrasi lintas mata pelajaran. Dengan memanfaatkan alam sebagai sumber pembelajaran, anak-anak dapat memperoleh pemahaman mendalam tentang lingkungan mereka. Model ini memberikan inspirasi bagi pendidikan anak usia dini dengan fokus pada pengembangan karakter, integrasi kurikulum, dan pengalaman belajar yang berarti di alam terbuka.
