Abstract

The current issues faced by tourist villages are indeed a priority for the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, particularly in relation to tourism-based economic development and community empowerment. In recent years, the development of tourist villages has become a main focus in efforts to improve community welfare, introduce local potential, and support regional development through a sustainable tourism sector.Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) are expected to become an integral part of tourist village communities, providing significant contributions to the development and sustainability of these villages. BUMDes play a crucial role in supporting various economic and social aspects of the village, including resource management, infrastructure development, and community empowerment.However, the challenges currently faced reveal that although BUMDes have great potential to support the development of tourist villages, there are still obstacles that hinder them from providing maximum material support in this context. This has led to the need for independent BUMDes, which not only rely on funding from the government or external parties but also possess the capability to guide and empower the local community directly.One way to achieve this is through training and capacity-building programs focused on improving community skills in managing and developing tourist villages professionally and sustainably. At present, BUMDes Salawu requires competent instructors to gain knowledge from practitioners, which can then be shared widely with the community.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Maghrib Mengaji Program implemented by KKN Group 26 (10 members) in Pagaran Gala-Gala Village in enhancing Qur'anic literacy and fostering religious character. The research utilized a participatory qualitative method with a Case Study approach, where learning activities were conducted intensively at the KKN post after congregational prayers. The program employed the Mutsallasah Curriculum (BTQ, Tahfidz, and Fahmil Qur’an) with the key methodology of direct guidance (talaqqi) by KKN mentors. The findings indicate significant achievements: a marked improvement in participants' reading quality, particularly in Tajwid and Makharijul Huruf, facilitated by the optimal mentor-to-participant ratio. The program also successfully diverted the 'golden time' of Maghrib from non-productive activities (gadgets) to a positive routine, instilling spiritual discipline and responsibility. The program's success was sustained by a strong synergy between the KKN group and mosque officials, which revitalized the institutional role as a center for character education. To ensure sustainability, it is recommended to implement Teacher Regeneration through peer-tutor recruitment and to establish Local Regulations by the village government to make the Maghrib Mengaji Program a continuous and mandatory cultural practice.

Abstract

This community service program was carried out with the aim of strengthening entrepreneurial management capacity while supporting the digitalization process of the home-based business “Donat and Kue Bawang Fatir,” located in Roburan Lombang Village. The business has been operating for approximately ten years; however, throughout its development, it has faced several challenges, including limited promotion, declining consumer numbers, and a marketing reach that remains confined to the local area. To address these issues, the KKN 24 Roburan Lombang community service team designed several strategies, including mentoring in simple business management, training in measurable financial management, and the application of digital technology through the registration and optimization of the business profile on Google Maps. These efforts are expected to provide added value for the business, particularly in improving accessibility and visibility in the digital sphere. The results of the program indicate an increased understanding of digital literacy among business owners, greater convenience for consumers in locating the business, and an expansion of the market reach beyond the village. These findings affirm that digitalization through the use of Google Maps can serve as a strategic step in ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of small rural businesses while also creating opportunities for more inclusive and sustainable local economic development.

Abstract

The ability to write scientific papers that adhere to academic standards is an important skill for students, especially those in the Economics Education Study Program. One of the common challenges faced by students is the proper management of references and citations. To address this issue, a training program was conducted on the use of the Zotero application as reference management software. The service activities were carried out thru lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice, attended by students from the Economics Education program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Halu Oleo University. The training results show that participants were able to understand the basics of reference management, install and integrate Zotero with Microsoft Word, import references from various sources, and generate automatic citations and bibliographies according to APA style. Although there were some technical constraints, such as difficulty installing the plugin in Word and fixing metadata, these constraints were overcome thru direct guidance. Overall, this training successfully improved students' ability to manage references effectively, efficiently, and in accordance with academic standards.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di era digital saat memberikan banyak perubahan dalam berbagai bidang salah satunya adalah dalam dunia pendidikan. Perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran yang sebelumnya hanya dapat dilakukan secara tatap muka saat ini dapat  didukung oleh berbagai perangkat teknologi, seperti smartphone, laptop dan platform pembelajaran digital. Beberapa teknologi pendidikan diantaranya teknologi cloud, teknologi seluler, realitas virtual, audio dan video, serta kecerdasan buatan (AI) Hal ini tentunya memberikan dampak baik bagi proses pembelajaran diantaranya adalah memudahkan proses belajar. Penggunaan teknologi ini selain memberikan dampak postif tentunya juga membawa tantangan di penggunaannya. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan informasi tepat sasaran dan diharapkan membawa pengaruh yang kuat dalam hal peningkatkan pemahaman penggunaan teknologi di kalangan siswa. Dengan memberikan  pemahaman kepada siswa tentang potensi teknologi sebagai sarana pembelajaran yang efektif, serta cara yang tepat untuk mengintegrasikannya dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar secara potensial akan memberikan manfaat.

Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has drastically changed the world of schooling and digital innovation, especially for Generation Z. This community service program aims to improve digital literacy and creativity of students at SMA Negeri 1 Srengat through training in the use of AI, specifically the ChatGPT and Gemini applications. This program was implemented using interactive lecture methods, live demonstrations, and direct practice with digital devices. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests, post-tests, and questionnaires. The evaluation results showed a 65% increase in participants' understanding of the training material, while the questionnaire obtained an average score of 3.6 (agree category), indicating that the training was effective and relevant to students' needs. This activity succeeded in fostering critical thinking skills, creativity in using AI technology, and awareness of ethical digital practices in students. In addition, this training contributed to strengthening students, especially in the aspects of critical reasoning, creativity, and independence. Therefore, this AI training is a strategic initiative to prepare the younger generation to be technologically literate, innovative, and adaptive in the digital era.

Abstract

In the preliminary meeting with SMPK St. Agnes as a partner, it was known that the partner had implemented restrictions on the use of plastic materials, but had never received counseling material on the dangers of textile waste. This activity aims to increase awareness and knowledge of partners regarding the concept of sustainability, the hazards of fabric waste and how to sort and treat it. In this activity, various types of textile materials, their properties and how to utilize and process them after they are no longer used were explained. This activity also involved PT Panjimas as a company that processes textile waste into yarn raw materials, which was involved as one of the speakers. This activity was attended by 43 participants consisting of 20 students and 23 teachers/employees. The evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire. After the activity, the participants stated that there was an increase in awareness of the hazards of textile waste with details, 25 respondents were very aware, 16 were quite aware, and only 2 were slightly aware. No respondents felt that they had not changed. This community service activity succeeded in achieving its objectives, but improvements in methods, duration, and approaches were needed to ensure a greater and more sustainable impact in the future.

Abstract

The digital competency strengthening program for school dropouts and unemployed youth in Wonorejo Village is a strategic effort to improve the quality of human resources in the digital era. This activity aims to equip participants with practical skills in Microsoft Office and productive internet use, as a foundation for entering the workforce and entrepreneurship. The training was conducted offline using the Direct Instruction method, where instructors delivered material in a structured manner through explanations, demonstrations, guided practice, and independent practice. The program was evaluated by distributing questionnaires to 18 training participants to assess its effectiveness. The results showed an average score of 4.58 on a five-point scale, falling into the "tend to strongly agree" category. This indicates that the Microsoft Office and internet use training was well implemented and had a positive impact on improving participants' skills and confidence. This program not only strengthens technical skills but also plays a crucial role in empowering school dropouts and unemployed youth to be more adaptable and competitive in facing the challenges of the digital workplace.
