Abstract

Learning batik in the Arts and Culture subject in Vocational High Schools (SMK) still faces the problem of low student understanding, which is caused by limited media and methods of delivering material orally so that the learning practice process is less effective. This study aims to test the feasibility of learning media in the form of a batik tutorial video for arts and culture subjects. This study uses a research and development method with a 4-D model that includes the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The subjects of this study consisted of three media experts and three material experts who served as validators. The data collection technique for this study used a feasibility assessment sheet, while data analysis was carried out using a quantitative descriptive approach through calculating the average score. The validation results by media experts showed an average score of 3.62 which is included in the "feasible" category, while the validation results by material experts showed an average chord of 3.50 which also indicates the "feasible" category. Thus, the learning media for batik tutorial videos created is declared suitable for use in the arts and culture learning process in vocational schools.

An approach that is able to bridge these gaps is contextual mathematics learning based on the world of work. The purpose of this article is to examine the role of mathematics teachers in contextual mathematics learning based on the world of work in grade XII of vocational schools. The use of the literature study method for national and international journal articles for the 2021-2025 period is a support in the preparation of articles. The results of the study show that mathematics teachers have a strategic role as designers of learning contexts, facilitators of authentic learning experiences, and motivation to students. Contextual mathematics learning based on the world of work is able to increase students' involvement, understanding of concepts, and positive attitudes towards mathematics lessons. This article recommends strengthening the competence of vocational mathematics teachers in designing contextual learning so that mathematics becomes more meaningful and relevant for grade XII students at vocational schools.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of corruption poses a serious challenge, as the increasing authority and allocation of village funds have not been fully balanced by accountable governance. The Anti-Corruption Village Program, initiated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), is a corruption prevention effort based on strengthening governance and community participation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Anti-Corruption Village Program based on local wisdom in Banyubiru Village, Semarang Regency, and examine the role of community awareness and the division of functions between the village government and traditional institutions in supporting the program's success. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving the village head, village secretary, village officials, traditional institutions, the Village Consultative Body, and community representatives. The results show that the Anti-Corruption Village Program in Banyubiru Village was implemented effectively because it was integrated with local wisdom values such as prasaja, honesty, mutual cooperation, and deliberation. Collective community awareness serves as social capital that encourages active participation in planning, program management, and village budget oversight. Village governments provide a space for community aspirations and trust in budget management, while carrying out control, monitoring, and evaluation functions transparently. This study recommends strengthening the integration of local wisdom as a sustainable strategy for preventing corruption at the village level.

Abstract

This research explores the role of the World Muslim Scout Jamboree 2025 as a platform for International Islamic Youth Education, focusing on character development and intercultural competence among Muslim youth. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving student delegates, international participants, scout leaders, and organizing committee members. The findings indicate that participation in the jamboree significantly strengthened moral responsibility, leadership disposition, and collaborative skills through experiential learning processes. Moreover, intensive intercultural interaction fostered adaptive communication skills, cultural awareness, and sensitivity toward diversity. The shared religious identity among participants functioned as a facilitating bridge for intercultural dialogue while allowing the preservation of distinct national cultures. The study also reveals the emergence of a reflective International Muslim youth identity characterized by moderation, inclusivity, and peace-oriented values. These findings suggest that international scouting initiatives can serve as an effective non-formal educational model integrating character education, global citizenship competencies, and Islamic values. The research contributes to the conceptual development of International Islamic Youth Education by demonstrating how global youth engagement programs can bridge local Islamic educational traditions with broader global experiences. Future longitudinal studies are recommended to examine the sustainability of these developmental impacts over time.

Abstract

The Pancasila Laboratory is a strategic instrument in strengthening Pancasila values education through contextual, reflective, and experience-based learning for young citizens. Although its urgency is recognized, to date, there has been no standardization of conceptual, operational, or evaluative standards, even though its development is based on ideology. Standardization is needed not to impose uniform practices, but to provide a flexible, context-specific minimum quality framework that guarantees the function, process, and achievement of values. This study uses a qualitative, multi-case study design and a conceptual analysis of the Character Padepokan at UNNES, the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika Laboratory at SMK Negeri 1 Sambi, and the Pancasila Laboratory School by YPLP. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that there is no uniform national model, but laboratory practices have developed organically through an approach of experience, reflection, collective participation, and the formation of values through habit. The findings emphasize the need for a flexible and adaptive standardization framework to ensure consistency in quality and measurable outcomes. The integrated conceptual model offered has the potential to strengthen character education, civic engagement, and the sustainability of Pancasila ideology within the national education system.
