Abstract

This research is an experimental study with a quantitative approach with the design of One Group Pre-test and Post-test. This study aims to find out the influence of drill methods in improving basic cosmetology skills in deaf children. The subjects used in this study were deaf students of SMPLB class VII in SKh Negeri 02 Kota Serang which amounted to 4 people. Based on the results of inferesial statistical analysis using the wilcoxon test formula (t) indicates that Tcalculate = 0 and based on the critical value for the wilcoxon test at the significance level of 0.05 with the sum N < 7, obtained Ttable = 0, then H0 is rejected because Tcalculate = Ttable This means that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted. This shows that the drill method is influential in improving the basic makeup of deaf children in SKh Negeri 02 Serang City.

Abstract

AbstractThe background to this research is the lack of understanding of parents in assisting children with autism in learning to communicate at home. This is due to the lack of references and inappropriate learning assistance methods. Parents need proper guidance to assist children with autism in learning to communicate at home. This research aims to determine the effect of using a digital-based communication learning guide for autistic children on parents' understanding when training communication for autistic children. This research uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE development model. The subjects in this study were 24 parents of autistic children. The data collection technique uses a multiple choice objective test with a total of 15 questions. The data analysis technique uses non-parametric statistics with the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with the help of SPSS 29. The results of data analysis obtained a scale value of ????ℎ???????????????????? = -4,299 with Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) <.001. The probability value in Zcount is then compared with the significance level α = 0.05. There is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results with P 0.01, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 or 5%. Thus Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the results of the research analysis, it was concluded that there was a significant influence on the use of digital-based communication learning assistance guides for autistic children for parents in increasing parents' understanding when training communication for autistic children. Keywords: Digital Applications, Communication, Autistic Children, Parents

Abstract

The use of podcasts as KD cerpen learning medium for visually impaired studentsaims to obtain learning media that is valid, practical and easy to understand and can be used for learning. The research method for using podcasts uses the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of several stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. The data collection technique uses a validation sheet given to four validators, including validators for the feasibility of content (substance), presentation, language and graphics and media which aims to assess learning media. The results of the study showed that the acquisition of a content eligibility validation score (substance) was 3.55; presentation validation, namely 4.05; language validation is 3.77 and graphical and media validation is 4.38. So the overall average score of validating the use of podcasts as a medium for short story BC learning is 3.93 with a valid category. Learning media that have been valid are then tested on users. The test subjects were 2 visually impaired studentsof class VII SLB Negeri Salatiga.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between empathy and prosocial behavior of non-disabled students towards students with disabilities. Special Education Study Program (PKh) FKIP Sebelas Maret University. This research is a quantitative research of the correlational type This research was conducted at Sebelas Maret University, Special Education Study Program, involving non-disabled students of the 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023 batches. The data collection method uses an online questionnaire where respondents need to fill out the available forms. Data analysis uses inferential statistics. The results of the study showed a considerable strong correlation between empathy and prosocial behavior with a negative correlation in non-disabled students in the Special Education Study Program (PKh) FKIP UNS. It is hoped that this research will be a reminder for Special Education Study Program students to pay attention to the use of empathy as necessary in daily life.

Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disabilities experience limitations in their cognitive abilities, which can impact their academic performance, particularly in subjects such as mathematics. To facilitate comprehension for these children, it is essential to use concrete and engaging learning media. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of such media in aiding children with disabilities in learning mathematics. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The findings reveal that some children with mild intellectual disabilities are able to recognize geometric shapes with teacher guidance, although others continue to face challenges. The study concludes with the development of validated mathematics learning media designed to help Grade VII students with mild intellectual disabilities recognize geometric shapes using Geoboard media. The study recommends that schools provide educational props or support media to enhance mathematics instruction related to data structures. It is also suggested that teachers and parents integrate these media into every lesson for practical application, with the goal of continuous improvement in the accessibility and effectiveness of learning media for children with mild intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

The goal of the study was to determine the use of diferential reinforcement of low rates (DRL) positive strengthening methods to reduce verbal impulsive behavior in ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)children. Quantitative research method experiments Single Subject Research (SSR) with design A-B-A. Thesubject in this study was 1 (one) ADHD student in the 12th grade of SKh Bina Citra Anak Serang High School, Banten. Data collection uses observation techniques performed during the prior, administration of interventions, and after the intervention. This study was conducted in the school for 15 observations conducted in three phases, namely 5 baseline sessions before the intervention (A1), 6 sessions in the intervention phase (B), and 4 sessions in the baseline phase (A2). In this study, a reduction in the rate of verbal impulsive behavior cut off the speech of others after the use of the DRL method from the previous results of the average score of the appearance of verbal impulsive behavior that is 1 time / minute reduced to 0.6 times / minute.
