Abstract

Silage is a feedstuff processing technique that aims to preserve the feedstuff in fresh form by storing it in an airtight or anaerobic space. This silage making training was carried out in the Safahu farmer group, village. Tololako, Kempo district. dompu, this training aims to provide understanding to the public regarding the preservation of high quality fresh feed ingredients. The method used is by socializing demonstrations and making palkan silage, the socialization process takes 20 days to evaluate. Evaluation of the resulting silage product includes physical observations starting from the texture of the aroma and the level of palatability of livestock. The physical quality of the silage produced is quite good, marked by a slightly sour smell, slightly sour and slightly sweet taste, brownish green color, dry texture and feels soft. following the stages of making silage. This is evidenced by the feedback from the participants who asked questions during the training to find out more about making silage.

Abstract

Dusun Batu Melik, Desa Seminar Salit, Kecamatan Brang Rea, Kabupaten Sumbawa Barat merupakan salah satu dusun yang berada di kawasan pegunungan yang kaya akan potensi hasil hutan berupa umbi gadung. Sejauh ini, potensi umbi gadung sangat melimpah namun hanya dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai makanan pendamping yang jarang dikonsumsi. Umbi gadung belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal oleh masyarakat meskipun potensi dan nilai tambah yang tinggi. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, bersama mitra desa dilakukan pengolahan dan pengembangan hasil hutan ini menjadi produk lokal berupa stik gadung dengan konsep pemberdayaan Masyarakat. Tahap-tahap pelaksanaan program kemitraan berupa Identifikasi, perumusan dan solusi permasalahan; pelaksanaan Program; partisipasi Mitra dan evaluasi keberlanjutan program. Simpulan dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah: (1) Umbi gadung dapat memberikan nilai tambah bagi perekonomian masyarakat melalui pengolahan inovasi produk lokal salah satunya stik gadung. (2) Umbi gadung dapat diolah menjadi berbagai produk lokal, namun dengan proses pengolahan yang cukup lama untuk menghilangkan kandungan racun (HCN). Kegiatan pengolahan umbi gadung ini mendapatkan respon positif dari masyarakat Dusun Batu Melik. Program pelatihan pembuatan stik gadung ini menjadi salah satu opsi bagi masyarakat dalam hal pengembangan diri, olah keterampilan dalam upaya mewujudkan SDM yang berkualitas, terampil dan mandiri. Ditambah dengan adanya kegiatan penyuluhan keamanan pangan dan perizinan usaha yang sangat didukung dan direspon baik oleh masyarakat guna meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pengolahan makanan.

Abstract

Batujai Village is one of the villages in West Praya District, Central Lombok Regency. This village has a fairly dense population, with this large population, of course, the volume of waste is increasing. Because of this, what underlies PMD KKN students in Batujai Village, Mataram University in 2023 to make products in the form of ecobrick by recycling 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) waste. Through the work program that has been attempted, it has succeeded in reducing the volume of waste disposed of by the community at TPS, in accordance with the purpose of carrying out this activity, which is to reduce the volume of waste by converting plastic waste into more useful items

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan bentuk kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan oleh perguruan tinggi. Dalam kegiatan KKN yang dilaksanakan di Desa Gapura, Kecamatan Pujut, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, kelompok mahasiswa Universitas Mataram melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan dengan sasaran utama pada Pertanian Maju dan Berkelanjutan. Tujuan pelaksanaan kegiatan KKN ini adalah untuk mengatasi permasalahan terkait kondisi lahan kering yang ada di Desa Gapura, kami membuat program kerja berupa pembuatan hidroponik. Untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan lahan pada pekarangan rumah, kami membuat program kerja berupa pembuatan apotek hidup. Program kerja utama yang kami tawarkan disini juga ada pelatihan pembuatan pupuk kompos. Pembuatan pupuk kompos ini kami maksudkan untuk menfaatkan limbah kotoran dari hasil ternak yang ada di Desa Gapura. Hasil kegiatan ini adalah untuk mengenalkan pada masyarakat sistem pertanian yang modern dan berkelanjutan, pembuatan apotek hidup ini juga memiliki beberapa manfaat yaitu bisa menjadi sumber kesehatan keluarga, menjadi persediaan bumbu dapur, dapat berperah sebagai tanaman hias juga sehingga bisa membuat pekarangan menjadi hijau dan lebih cantik, dan meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan limbah kotoran ternak dengan membuat pupuk kompos. Pupuk kompos berguna untuk meningkatkan daya ikat tanah terhadap air sehingga dapat menyimpan air tanah lebih lama. Hasil kegiatan di atas menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan KKN ini telah mampu menjawab beberapa masalah yang ada di desa Gapura terkait pertanian Maju Dan Berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Apotek Herbal merupakan salah satu wadah untuk membudidayakan tanaman-tanaman herbal yang berfungsi untuk mengobati penyakit secara tradisional. Apotek Herbal adalah memanfaatkan sebagian tanah untuk ditanami tanaman obat- obatan untuk keperluan sehari-hari. Dengan tujuan membantu warga yang mempunyai penyakit dan perlahan mengalihkan pengobatan ke obat herbal selain itu juga agar masyarakat dapat menangani penyakitnya dengan obat seadanya sebelum mereka memilih alternatif lain. Metode penelitian yang di pakai pada artikel ini ialah metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk memberikan interprestasi mengenai tindakan persepsi, prilaku dan lain lain sercara holistic melalui studi kepustakaan, artikel-artikel ilmiah, koran, jurnal, buku, media cetak dan wawancara pada sampel yang telah ditentukan. hasil dari program Apotek Herbal ini ialah masyarakat dapat mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan tanaman herbal untuk alternatif pengobatan serta mengolah tanaman herbal menjadi berbagai macam produk kesehatan. Salah satu produk yang dihasilkan dari program Apotek Herbal ini adalah jamu yang sudah menjadi obat tradisional bagi masyarakat Indonesia.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is a form of community service activities carried out by universities. In KKN activities carried out in Panji Sari Village, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, groups of students and lecturers of Mataram University carry out various activities with the main target of Village Community Empowerment. Panji Sari is one of the villages located in Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province with an area of 118.33 Ha. The large area in the village also has environmental problems. The lack of public awareness of waste owned by this region is very alarming, this is due to the absence of Waste Disposal Sites (TPS) and Signs of Appeal for orderly waste disposal. Therefore, to increase public awareness of the dangers of waste and as a step towards a clean environment and minimize community littering, the KKN-PMD team made bamboo garbage bins and environmental appeal signs. The method used in this activity is counseling and demonstration. The community paid attention to the material presented during the socialization and then continued with the demonstration of making and assisting in making garbage bins and appeal signs. From the evaluation results, it was found that the community felt helped by this activity and gained knowledge about the dangers of waste for the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Moringa is a type of plant that belongs to the Moringaceae family. This plant is also known as (Moringa oleifera). Moringa has many uses and has long been used by various cultures because various parts of this plant have high nutritional value and health properties that are considered beneficial. Some parts of the Moringa plant that are commonly used are the leaves, fruit, flowers, seeds, and roots. Moringa (Moringa Oleifera) originates from India and Arabia and then spreads to various regions. years, and withstand extreme heat conditions. This plant comes from tropical and subtropical regions of South Asia. In Indonesia, Moringa trees are widely planted as living fences, planted along fields or on the edges of rice fields, functioning as green plants. In addition, the Moringa plant is also known as a nutritious medicinal plant by utilizing all parts of the Moringa plant, starting from the leaves, bark, seeds, to the roots. This plant has been studied for its health benefits, has antifungal, antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and as a hepatoprotector. According to Folid, Moringa leaves can be consumed as a vegetable, consumed in the form of Moringa leaf tea, flour, powder or Moringa leaf capsules. Moringa leaf tea is a caffeine-free herbal tea which is very good for health and has a pretty good taste. Moringa leaf tea contains many nutrients that can increase the body's metabolism. Tea is a drink prepared by soaking the leaves or certain parts of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis) in hot water. This tea plant is the main source for various types of tea known throughout the world. There are several main types of tea that are produced from the Camellia sinensis tea plant, and these differences are mainly derived from the processing of the tea leaves.

Abstract

Ecobrick as one of the innovations in managing waste generation by utilizing inorganic waste to become ecobrick products has been practiced in Semayan Village, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, which was carried out by the 2023 University of Mataram KKN-PMD Group team. Plastic waste is the waste that dominates waste generation in Semayan Village. Various effective programs have been implemented to support the ecobrick program to be inclusive in the Semayan Village area. The realization of this program touches various layers of society, starting from the age of the children. The program is aimed at TPQ children in several neighborhoods and 2 elementary schools. Many teenagers also participate in making ecobricks. Then the demonstration of making ecobrick was also aimed at ladies and gentlemen. With the participation of all levels, it is possible for this ecobrick program to run smoothly, to have a good and sustainable impact on Semayan Village. The presence of this ecobrick innovation is a creative step that is useful for the Semayan Village community, be it reducing plastic waste, increasing community creativity, even this innovation can improve the economy of the surrounding community. This paper aims to provide knowledge to readers regarding one way to manage inorganic waste.

Abstract

Central Lombok Regency, the average waste production reaches 50 tons per day. The high production of waste requires counseling activities and waste management training. The purpose of waste management counseling and training is to help the community in understanding the correct procedures for sorting and managing waste with the 3R principle as the application of the zero waste concept so that the amount of waste heaps can be reduced. Counseling and training were held in Tiwu Galih Village, Praya District, Central Lombok at the end of June to early August. The methods applied in activities are approaches with residents, counseling, questions and answers and practices of using waste. Counseling and training in providing an understanding to the community about the correct procedures for sorting and managing waste so that the amount of waste can be reduced and the community is able to use inorganic waste into useful products and has economic value that can be used as a new business opportunity for the community, the concept of zero waste develops in the Tiwu Galih Village environment.

Abstract

One of the problems that exist in the Mertak Village community, especially Berami and Montong Gerantung hamlets, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara is the lack of public awareness of the utilization of livestock manure into organic fertilizer and its use in agricultural cultivation. This program aims to provide counseling and assistance to the people of Mertak Village to utilize livestock manure as organic fertilizer which has a sale value and can be used as a substitute for rare chemical fertilizers. The method we use is self-approach to the local community, after approaching the community we conduct training and assistance in making organic fertilizer from livestock manure, ending with socialization regarding the use of cow manure into organic fertilizer and its application in agricultural cultivation.
