Abstract

Max Weber's thesis that announced the development of European change, due to Protestantism, which is closely related to capitalism, is the pursuit of maximum economic profit with a long-term ownership orientation. Protestantism is considered to have an inherent logical dynamic with the doctrine of being the spirit of pursuing economic profit. This study aims to examine Weber's thoughts in the context of development in Europe, and to provide criticism of the development orientation that arises from this thought. This study is library research, with a qualitative exploratory descriptive research type, which seeks to describe new findings from a research problem. Such an understanding, through a literature review with a library study method, is understood the criticism that capitalism should be a rational occupational conscience, about a work ethic, driven by the enjoyment of a material value of work, due to the development of liberalization and ownership. Upholding capital as an element of rationalization, is a strong spirit of the emergence of capitalism and the rejection of the irrational elements of work based on religious morality. In this regard, rational occupation, based on freedom of creativity, private ownership and productive efforts are the basic reasons for the birth of capitalism. This research can be a reference, especially regarding the spirit of capitalism and rationalization, offering a unique perspective on the social, economic, and cultural transformations of that era.

Abstract

Sukabumi, located in West Java Province, faces serious challenges related to high unemployment rates. This phenomenon is a complex issue that needs to be addressed. One of the solutions that have been proposed and implemented in various regions, including Sukabumi, is the Job Training Program. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the job training program conducted by the Manpower Office in reducing the unemployment rate in Sukabumi. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. It employs the theory of the "Four Accuracies" by Richard Matland, which has been developed into "Five Accuracies" by Dian Purwanti. The Job Training Program in Sukabumi is still not optimal and faces many challenges, especially in the training provided. There is a lack of clarity after completing the program, and the job opportunities available do not match the market needs in Sukabumi. This program should collaborate with the job fair programs provided by the Sukabumi Manpower Office to make job training more effective and aligned with the current job market needs. Additionally, there is no monitoring of participants who have completed the Job Training Program, which should be carried out by the Sukabumi Manpower Office to assess the effectiveness of the program in reducing unemployment rates in Sukabumi.

Abstract

The development of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia shows a positive trend and has a significant contribution to the national economy. This study aims to analyze the development strategy of cassava sliced noodle business using porter's five force analysis. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The informants in this study were five people, namely three sliced noodle entrepreneurs, one supplier of raw materials in the form of cassava, and one customer in Pegajahan Village, Pegajahan District, Serdang Regency. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study from the analysis of Porter's five forces show that the threat of entrants has high potential because of small capital, easy to imitate and raw materials that are easy to obtain, high buyer power because they already have buyer outlets or regular customers who buy, namely breakfast sales and also shops spread throughout Indonesia, high supplier power because they rely on only one supplier where the price is uncertain and also the quality of raw materials is uncertain, the threat of substitute products is high because it is easy to get substitute products, also products that are not widely known to the public and the threat of low competitor competition because their place does not need to market and only sells to one agent, as well as other competitors and there is no difference in the raw materials used, no advantages in the product and also relatively the same price. This study uses a qualitative method using observation techniques and also direct interviews with business owners as sources of information that are processed into data.

Abstract

Customer loyalty in workshops refers to the commitment and dedication of customers to the services provided by a particular workshop. This is reflected in their tendency to repeatedly use the services, recommend them to others, and reject offers from competing workshops, even when accompanied by attractive promotions or incentives. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, service quality, and customer experience on customer loyalty. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to workshop customers, with purposive sampling yielding 40 respondents. Validity and reliability tests ensured the accuracy and consistency of the research instrument, while multiple linear regression analysis revealed that price does not significantly affect customer loyalty. However, service quality and customer experience were found to have a significant positive impact. Simultaneously, the combination of price, service quality, and customer experience influences customer loyalty. The findings underscore the critical role of service quality and customer experience in fostering customer loyalty, particularly in the context of Panjol Workshop.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of local taxes in supporting public infrastructure development in DKI Jakarta and to reveal factors that influence public awareness, compliance, and expectations regarding tax management. Using a post-positivism paradigm with a qualitative approach, data were collected through document analysis and in-depth interviews with purposively selected communities. Thematic analysis methods were applied to identify key themes in three main dimensions: experience of paying local taxes, experience of using public infrastructure, and expectations regarding local tax policies. The results of the study show that although public awareness of the urgency of taxes for infrastructure development is relatively high, the level of compliance is still not optimal. One digital service such as Samsat Digital Nasional (SIGNAL) has succeeded in increasing the ease of payment, but various obstacles including digital literacy, limited internet infrastructure, and lack of socialization limit its use. On the other hand, the public appreciates major projects such as mass transportation and main roads, but still complains about the inequality of infrastructure in the suburbs and the problem of flooding. Public expectations regarding local tax policies emphasize the importance of transparency, accountability, and public participation in formulating development priorities. These findings emphasize the need for a comprehensive strategy to bridge the gap between awareness of the importance of taxes and factual compliance in paying taxes. Local governments are advised to strengthen the socialization of digital services, prioritize equal distribution of infrastructure, and implement an interactive financial reporting system to build public trust and participation in a sustainable manner. Thus, the capacity of public infrastructure funding through local taxes can continue to be increased, in line with efforts to realize public welfare in the DKI Jakarta Province.

Abstract

The Ammatoa Kajang indigenous community is a group that has lived for generations within the Kajang customary area, holding sovereignty over their land and natural resources, and regulating their socio-cultural life based on customary law and the traditional institution of "Pasang ri Kajang." Research has shown that indigenous communities in Indonesia have traditionally succeeded in preserving and enriching the biodiversity of nature. The Ammatoa Kajang community has autonomy in managing their customary forest. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a sociological legal approach aimed at gaining legal knowledge. It begins with secondary data as initial information, followed by primary data gathered from the field or the community, studying the effectiveness of a regulation, and seeking to explore the relationship between various phenomena. Data collection tools include document studies or literature reviews and interviews. The research findings show that Ammatoa, as the head of the Kajang indigenous community, emphasizes the importance of prioritizing customary law in every aspect of the Kajang indigenous people's lives, including in resolving issues within the community. The Ammatoa Kajang community resolves and defends their customary territory using customary law as outlined in “Pasang ri Kajang.” Sociological Jurisprudence views law as a living part of society, continually adapting to social changes and the needs of its people, while still being rooted in shared communal values

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of service quality, employee job satisfaction, and information technology adoption on the effectiveness of administrative management at XYZ Hospital in West Java. As a medium-sized public hospital, XYZ faces notable challenges in its digital transformation journey, particularly due to limited staff training and low adoption of IT-based systems. The study adopts a quantitative causal research design, involving a survey of administrative personnel selected purposively based on their roles and responsibilities. Data collection was conducted through a structured questionnaire designed to assess perceptions related to service quality, job satisfaction, and IT usage. The analysis employed the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to evaluate the relationships among the variables. The results demonstrate that both service quality and employee job satisfaction significantly contribute to improving the effectiveness of administrative management. In contrast, the influence of information technology adoption appears relatively limited, primarily due to the lack of sufficient technical capacity and readiness among the workforce. These findings emphasize the importance of enhancing non-technical factors first, such as service culture and employee engagement, before fully integrating digital systems. The practical implications suggest that hospital administrators should focus on continuous quality improvement, invest in human resource development, and provide structured IT training tailored to staff needs. This study is especially relevant in the context of healthcare system reform in Indonesia, where efficient and responsive administrative management is essential to support high-quality patient care and ensure institutional resilience in the face of evolving health sector demands.
