Abstract

Ecopedagogy is an approach in education that emphasizes environmental awareness. True education must promote sustainable development through inculcating the character of students who care about the natural and social environment. This study aims to explore the existence of ecopedagogy in education through social studies learning based on local wisdom which has been taking place for junior high school students in Kudus. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative through interviews with a number of social studies teachers and students at junior high schools in Kudus who were randomly selected. The results of the study found that social studies learning at junior high schools in Kudus taught several local wisdoms such as wiwit kopi, rebo wekasan, jenang tebokan, and sego jangkrik which are loaded with the meaning of environmental awareness according to the concept of ecopedagogy. Local traditions and culture in Kudus are not just ritualization, but the meaning contained in these traditions teaches students to respect the universe so that balance will continue. The concept of ecopedagogy in education needs to be raised, one of which is social studies learning based on local wisdom. So that sustainable development will continue to be inherited properly.

The results of this study are (1) the implementation of the character of responsibility in lecture activities can be done by completing assignments, guidance, spontaneous activities, getting used to giving motivation, class rules, discussion activities, delivering lesson material and reflection activities which are carried out thoroughly in learning activities. In practice, students are required to carry out their responsibilities to be involved in lecture activities and carry out learning assignments. (2) students' responsible character can be built through character education using the habituation method, creating a conducive atmosphere and integrating its implementation in lectures. Habituation, creating a conducive and integrated atmosphere in lectures can be done using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model (3) Apart from using the Problem Based Learning learning model, the formation of responsible character using the habituation method can also be built through the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model or commonly called CTL. Applying this model, each member in the group will have their own role to increase their sense of responsibility and ability to solve problems. The contextual approach focuses on active student involvement in combining some material with the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Rivers provide benefits to living creatures that live around riverbanks. However, river problems are a topic that is being widely discussed because they originate from the condition of the river or human behaviour. Bad human behaviour towards rivers will cause several problems. The behaviour of the riverbank community in Anjir Serapat Muara 1 Village, Barito Kuala Regency, still uses the river for daily activities, including bathing, washing, toilets, and public consumption. This activity can negatively impact the river's condition, especially pollution of river water quality due to people's behaviour and habits. Research objective: Describe the behaviour of riverbank communities in Anjir Serapat Muara Village 1. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods by describing the behaviour of riverbank communities in Anjir Serapat Muara Village 1 in Barito Kuala Regency. Observation, interviews, and documentation are used to carry out data collection techniques. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Test the validity of the data using extended observations, triangulation, and member checks. Research results: The behaviour of the riverbank community in Anjir Serapat Muara 1 Village still lacks cleanliness. It can be seen that the people there still throw rubbish in the river. This is because, in Anjir Serapat Muara 1 Village, there are no trash bins, people/vehicles carrying waste, public toilets, or clean water, which the community needs. The positive behaviour of the riverbank people of Anjir Serapat Muara 1 Village is that in fishing in the Barito River, they still maintain local wisdom by using traditional tools like rengge, rempa and unjun.

Abstract

The Al-Fatimah Modern Islamic Boarding School Foundation is one of the institutions with the highest number of students in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java. This situation has prompted the foundation to produce hygiene products such as laundry detergent, bathing soap, laundry perfume, and dishwashing soap. Due to a lack of branding, these products are currently limited to internal consumption within the boarding school and cannot be sold in the market. This article describes the challenges faced by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) at the Al-Fatimah Islamic Boarding School in obtaining a trademark. Additionally, it will describe efforts to develop MSME products to make them known to the market. This research utilises a qualitative descriptive method, with informants including the production team leader, marketing personnel, and MSME product users at the Al-Fatimah Islamic Boarding School in Bojonegoro Regency. Data collection is carried out through in-depth interviews and participatory observation. Descriptive data analysis techniques are employed in this study. The research findings reveal that the main obstacle in obtaining a trademark for MSME products at Al Fatimah is a need for more understanding of the trademark application procedures.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the demands of the 21st century, which require students to have communication, collaboration, critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovation skills. One of the skills that is quite important for students to have is critical and creative thinking. Educators must find a breakthrough in the learning process to improve students' critical and creative thinking abilities. The learning models currently used at the elementary school level are still incapable of developing students' critical and creative thinking abilities, so there is a need for innovative learning models that can provide opportunities for students to develop their thinking abilities. The project learning model, a combination of PBL and PJBL, is an answer to a model that can be used to develop elementary school students' critical and creative thinking abilities. This type of research is development intended to obtain a product. The research stages can be detailed as follows: (1) the pre-field stage or preparation stage, (2) the advanced stage, developing the Project Learning learning model, and (3) the post-field stage, where the research team prepares a report. This research activity begins with basic research regarding the learning model that has been used by teachers in elementary schools in the Wetlands area of Barito Kuala Regency, then continues with the stages of developing the Project Learning learning model, which is a solution for improving students ' critical and creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country and a developing country which has the potential for inequality in development. Inequality in development is increasingly felt in several areas, including Jakarta. As Jakarta becomes more densely populated with increasingly complex problems, there is talk of moving the nation's capital to East Kalimantan Province. North Penajam Paser Regency is one of the locations for moving the new national capital. It is hoped that the relocation can overcome population problems and development inequality. Developmental inequality will continue to occur if it does not receive serious attention. Development inequality can be overcome by paying attention to regional potential, especially in the agricultural sector. Seeing this, it is very necessary to carry out research with the title "Mapping Potential Region of the Agricultural Sector to Increase Economic Development in Penajam Paser Utara Regency". The research was conducted in Penajam Utara Paser Regency using quantitative research methods. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques include documentation, observation, interviews, and interview guides, while analysis techniques use Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share analysis. The research results show that the agricultural sector's production results are quite varied, from the production of rice, secondary crops, vegetables, and biopharmaceuticals. The highest production result was rice production reaching a total production of 65,534.9 tons over 10 years. Babulu District is the region that produces the largest rice with a total production of 56,688.1 tons over 10 years. Several types of plants have basic commodities so they have the potential to be developed to help improve the community's economy, even though their growth rate is relatively slow. The relatively slow growth rate for each existing commodity means that none of the agricultural sector's commodities are considered superior or mainstay commodities. As we know, the largest average contribution to GRDP comes from the mining and quarrying sector, like other areas in East Kalimantan that are famous for their natural resources, not the agricultural sector.
