Abstract

Game-Based Learning (GBL) has emerged as an innovative learning approach aimed at enhancing student engagement and promoting the development of critical thinking skills, particularly at the elementary school level. This study was conducted at SD Negeri Labuhan 1 using a qualitative approach and a case study method. The primary objective of this research is to analyze the implementation of GBL within the context of elementary education, focusing on students’ and teachers’ needs and interests, the strategies used for implementation, the impact of GBL on students’ critical thinking skills, and the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its success. The findings indicate that 75% of students expressed a higher preference for game-based learning over conventional teaching methods, showing high levels of enthusiasm and participation during the learning process. GBL proved effective in increasing students' motivation to learn, strengthening collaboration, and stimulating analytical and reflective thinking. However, several challenges were encountered in the implementation of GBL, including limited technological infrastructure in schools and the lack of specialized training for teachers in designing and managing game-based learning activities effectively. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that GBL holds significant potential as a teaching strategy that can foster students’ critical thinking skills from an early age. Nevertheless, to achieve optimal outcomes, strong support from various stakeholders is essential, including the provision of adequate facilities and the enhancement of teachers’ competencies through continuous professional development and training in designing and applying GBL in daily classroom activities.

Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive learning media based on android with iSpring Suite 9 which is feasible and effective in the learning process of Chassis Maintenance and Power Transfer. The type of research used is development research (Research & Development) using the ADDIE development model which has 5 stages namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The results of the research in the feasibility test of interactive learning media based on media validation by media experts obtained a score of 3.70 in the ‘very feasible’ category, learning design experts obtained a score of 3.71 in the ‘very feasible’ category, and material experts obtained a score of 3.96 in the ‘very feasible’ category. The results of the one to one trial of students obtained a score of 3.50 with the category ‘very feasible’, the small-scale trial of students obtained a score of 3.65 with the category ‘very feasible’, and the large-scale trial of students obtained a score of 3.71 with the category ‘very feasible’. The results of the research in the effectiveness test of interactive learning media are known based on the results of the pre-test and post-test there was an increase in value of 41.29, as well as the average N-Gain value of 0.77 in the high category with a percentage of 76.56% in the effective category. So it can be concluded that android-based interactive learning media using Ispring Suite 9 is very feasible to use as a learning media and effective to use because it can improve student learning outcomes in Chassis Maintenance and Power Transfer subjects in class XI TKR SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of social status, family economic conditions, and student motivation on the learning achievement of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 26 Matekko, located in the Kecamatan Gantarang of Kabupaten Bulukumba. The research employed a quantitative Ex Post Facto design, collecting data from 45 students using questionnaires, observations, and literature studies. The analysis involved multiple regression to explore the relationships between the variables. The findings indicate that all three factors—social status, family economic conditions, and student motivation—positively and significantly affect learning achievement. Notably, social status emerged as the most influential factor. These results suggest the need for targeted interventions addressing socio-economic disparities and enhancing student motivation. Future research should consider a broader range of variables and a longitudinal approach.

Abstract

This qualitative study aims to gain insights into how English lecturers perceive and integrate generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their teaching, an increasingly relevant topic in education. Guided by the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research involved two lecturers from a higher education context. Findings reveal a shift in perception: although both participants were initially reluctant due to unfamiliarity and concerns about learning quality, they gradually embraced AI after firsthand experience. They now recognize its potential to support teaching while maintaining careful oversight to ensure it does not compromise the learning process. Their evolving views highlight the importance of adaptability and critical awareness in incorporating AI into English language education.

Abstract

This study investigates how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming Islamic journalism and digital da’wah by analyzing the ethical challenges posed by algorithmically mediated media. Employing a critical-interpretive approach, the research examines how algorithmic logic impacts the production, visibility, and ethical dimensions of Islamic content on platforms such as YouTube and TikTok. The findings reveal a growing tension between Islamic communication principles—sidq (truth), amanah (trust), and hikmah (wisdom)—and the operational values of AI systems that prioritize virality, personalization, and engagement metrics. This paper contributes to global discourse by proposing a hybrid ethical framework that bridges Islamic communication ethics with digital media accountability. It argues for an integrative model where spiritual integrity, transparency, and justice guide the development and use of AI in Islamic media contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of prophetic leadership applied by Kiai in increasing community trust in the Daaru Attauhid Islamic Boarding School. With a descriptive qualitative approach, this study collected data through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation analysis. The results of the study indicate that the prophetic leadership applied by Kiai includes honesty, responsibility, effective communication, and wisdom. These four aspects are applied in various strategies, such as increasing the credibility of the institution, improving the quality of leadership, and increasing community participation. In increasing community trust, Kiai also applies various strategies, such as social services, community involvement in Islamic boarding school decision-making, and improving the quality of education. The impact of this prophetic leadership is seen in the recognition and support of the community, strengthening harmonious relations between Islamic boarding schools and the sustainability of Islamic boarding schools in the long term. The results of this study confirm that the prophetic leadership of Kiai has a major contribution in strengthening the relationship between Islamic boarding schools and the community, and can be used as a leadership model for other Islamic educational institutions
