Abstract

Upgrading financial literacy in Rumah Hijrah Pontianak aims to empower the Rumah Hijrah Pontianak community by enhancing their financial literacy and investment knowledge. Through a series of workshops, seminars, and interactive discussions, the program will equip participants with practical skills for personal and group financial management. By fostering a deeper understanding of smart financial planning and investment strategies, this initiative seeks to encourage long-term financial growth and stability within the community. Ultimately, the goal is to increase community interest in financial planning, which will contribute to the sustainability of social and economic activities at Rumah Hijrah Pontianak.

Abstract

Peningkatan literasi keuangan menjadi kebutuhan mendesak dalam menghadapi inflasi yang memengaruhi daya beli masyarakat. Program Studi Ekonomi Pembangunan FEB UT menyelenggarakan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai konsep inflasi dan investasi, khususnya investasi emas kepada Komunitas Rumah Hijrah Pontianak. Melalui metode ceramah, simulasi studi kasus, dan pendekatan emosional, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengelola keuangan secara bijak. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa peserta memahami pentingnya investasi untuk melindungi kekayaan dari inflasi, serta potensi pertumbuhan nilai investasi jangka panjang. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan pengetahuan keuangan mampu memberikan dampak positif, tidak hanya pada perencanaan finansial individu tetapi juga dalam mendukung stabilitas ekonomi komunitas

Abstract

Kampung Wisata Ciwaluh memiliki keindahan alam yang sangat rupawan yang dapat digunakan sebagai destinasi wisata untuk mengembangkan perekonomian desa dan masyarakat sekitar. Wisatawan yang berkunjung didominasi oleh mereka yang hanya berkunjung satu hari lalu pulang. Padahal, sebenarnya ada potensi untuk mendorong mereka bermalam di Kampung Wisata Ciwaluh sehingga durasi berkunjung lebih lama. Tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Universitas Terbuka mengusulkan pembentukan akomodasi berupa homestay yang dikelola oleh warga sekitar dan Pokdarwis Ciwaluh. Pelatihan dan pemodalan berupa infrastruktur diberikan kepada Pokdarwis Ciwaluh. Hasilnya, warga sekitar tertarik untuk menjadikan rumahnya sebagai homestay dan ingin mempelajari pengelolaan homestay dengan baik. Beberapa rumah telah melayani tamu homestay dengan rutin sehingga perekonomian desa lebih baik dan masyarakat menjadi lebih berdaya

Abstract

With the increasing number of MSMEs, strong business resilience is needed to face increasingly tight business competition. The large potential of MSMEs in Lengkong Karya Village, North Serpong District, South Tangerang City, Banten Province, can increase opportunities for expanding marketing reach. However, this is not balanced with the ability of MSME actors to strive for marketing following market developments and tastes. This results in MSMEs not developing optimally. Therefore, the PkM team conducted training and mentoring in digital marketing for MSMEs in Lengkong Karya. This mentoring aims to help MSMEs to accelerate growth and increase the resilience of MSME businesses. A total of 25 MSME actors attended this training and mentoring. This series of training and mentoring activities is carried out in 3 (three) stages, namely the need assessment stage, training and mentoring (provision of digital marketing materials and mentoring synchronously and asynchronously), and monitoring and evaluation (to measure the effectiveness of training and mentoring. These three stages are carried out to ensure that the implementation of the PkM program can provide measurable results and real impacts. The results of this mentoring are that MSME actors experience increased knowledge, skills, experience, and attitudes in marketing their products digitally. Thus, this PkM program can increase the resilience of MSME businesses in Lengkong Karya, North Serpong, South Tangerang. Keywords: digital marketing, training, assistance, MSMEs, business resilience

Abstract

The establishment of a children's shoe artisan group aims to empower local communities and promote sustainable economic development. This study was conducted to evaluate the impact of skill training and business management on the capabilities of the artisan group. The methodology employed comprised six stages: exploration, group formation, skill training, mentoring, marketing, and evaluation. The results indicate a significant improvement in production and marketing skills among group members. Before the training, only 30% of participants possessed basic knowledge of production techniques, whereas after the training, this figure increased to 85%. Furthermore, the ability to utilize social media for marketing also rose from 20% to 75%. This training program has proven effective in creating high-quality products with aesthetic appeal while integrating local values and cultural wisdom. The synergy among group members and collaboration in product development enhance their competitiveness in the market. Thus, the formation of the children's shoe artisan group contributes to the improvement of the local economy, job creation, and the strengthening of regional cultural identity. Recommendations for the sustainability of the program include strengthening collaboration networks and ongoing innovation in product development. This research is expected to serve as a model for other communities to empower local economies and enhance community welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the understanding and awareness of taxation among tourism business actors through a descriptive qualitative approach based on community service activities involving resource persons from KPP Pratama Sumedang as well as related business actors and communities. Data were collected through documentation and participatory observation, then analyzed thematically to identify factors influencing tax compliance and their implications for the sustainability of tourism businesses. The results indicate that a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of taxation such as public infrastructure development, government subsidies, and business empowerment programs can improve the cooperative attitude of business actors in fulfilling their tax obligations. The main challenges identified are the low level of tax literacy and technical difficulties in tax reporting, which require a more intensive and continuous educational approach. Increased tax awareness is expected to strengthen tax contributions to state revenue, thereby supporting the development of higher-quality tourism infrastructure and the sustainability of businesses in this sector. This study recommends synergy between the government, educational institutions, and tourism communities to organize tax training tailored to the needs of business actors, in order to create an inclusive and sustainable tourism ecosystem.

Abstract

This community service activity was conducted to assist BUMDes Makmur Anugerah Lestari, Ciomas, Bogor in product diversification. BUMDes Makmur Anugerah Lestari operates several business units, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) refillable water and village PAM (Public Water Supply) systems. Recognizing the availability of several exploitable water sources and the significant community demand for drinking water, a product diversification initiative was undertaken. The objective of this program was to diversify into packaged drinking water products. The methodology employed in this community service (PkM) program involved training and water potability testing. The training focused on labelling and packaging. The results of the water potability tests indicated that the microbiological parameters for E. coli were 0 and the total coliform bacteria were 0, signifying good water quality suitable for consumption. Two packaging sizes were developed for bottling. This activity significantly impacted the diversification of drinking water products through the conducted potability tests, confirming that the water sourced for the packaged drinking water products is of good quality and safe for consumption. The PkM team diversified into 600 ML and 300 ML bottled drinking water. Based on the training outcomes, Mitra (partner) is now capable of creating appealing labels and packaging for bottled water products. Through this PkM activity, the community is empowered to be more creative and independent, contributing to the advancement of the village.

Abstract

Home-based food businesses are one form of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) that play a strategic role in supporting family economic resilience. However, in practice, this type of business actor often faces challenges in financial management, especially related to calculating the cost of production (HPP), recording transactions, and selecting packaging that is not only visually attractive but also supports the principles of environmental sustainability. This Community Service (PKM) activity was carried out with the aim of increasing the entrepreneurial literacy of residents, especially in terms of business management and the use of environmentally friendly packaging. The methods used include field observation, interactive counseling, group discussions, and evaluations based on participant feedback. The results of the activity program show that most business actors have not implemented financial records and do not have a distinctive brand identity or product packaging. After the counseling, there was an increase in understanding regarding the importance of separating business and household resources, recording business costs in a structured manner, and using packaging that supports the zero waste movement. This activity program makes a positive contribution to building awareness of more economically and ecologically responsible entrepreneurs among home-based food MSME actors.

Abstract

Abstrak Konsep inkubasi bisnis yang muncul pada tahun 1970an di Amerika dan Eropa memberikan model bisnis modern. Saat ini konsep incubator bisnis tumbuh di negara berkembang dan negara-negara non barat. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat Universitas Terbuka Bandar Lampung di Desa Surya Mataram adalah memberikan pendampingan, pembimbingan dan pengetahuan tentang strategi pemasaran, analisis perhitungan biaya dan keuntungan produk usaha mikro dan kecil yang akan diusahakan oleh masyarakat dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berusaha, mengurangi tingkat pengangguran dan kemiskinan serta mendukung menyukseskan program pemerintah pusat dan pemerintah daerah dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan (SDG) tahun 2015 – 2030. Manfaat kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat Universitas Terbuka Bandar Lampung adalah mendorong timbul dan lahirnya pengusaha-pengusaha kecil baru, meningkatkan iklim berusaha dan pengembangan usaha mikro dan kecil. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan minat berwirausaha dan peningkatan jumlah pengusaha mikro dan kecil di Desa Surya Mataram.
