Abstract

This study aims to analyze the errors  of the kitabah in the Arabic speech texts of PORSENI participants in KKMTs 01 Gresik based on the perspective of the nahwu rule. The background of this research departs from the importance of writing skills in Arabic, especially in the context of formal speeches that demand syntactic and morphological accuracy. Although Arabic language learning has been implemented in educational institutions, there are still various errors in sentence structure, i'rab, and the use of idhafi tarkib and number tarkib in the speech text of participants. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Error Analysis method. Data was collected through the documentation of participants' speech texts, which were then analyzed based on the nahwu rule to identify the types and factors that caused the error. The results of the study show that the most dominant mistakes are i'rab errors, the use of fi'il and dhamir, and the structure of tarkib that is not in accordance with the rules of the Arabic language. The main factors that caused this error included the participants' lack of understanding of syntactic rules, the influence of the mother tongue, and the lack of practice in compiling formal speech texts. As a recommendation, this study suggests the application of learning methods based on error analysis, increased writing and speaking practice in Arabic, and intensive mentoring for competition participants. It is hoped that this strategy can improve the language skills of participants and reduce errors in the use of nahwu rules.

Abstract

Arabic holds a unique position for Muslims and for anyone who studies it. The language feels familiar due to its frequent use in religious practices such as prayer and supplication, yet it is also perceived as difficult due to its complexity in learning. Nevertheless, Arabic is the only language that paves the way to understanding the highest sources of Islamic knowledge—the Qur'an and Hadith. This study is motivated by the low motivation and poor learning outcomes of students in Arabic language instruction at MTsS Ibadurrahman Stabat. This condition is primarily caused by the lack of variation in teaching methods used by teachers, leading to student boredom and low classroom engagement. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the Qirā’ah method in enhancing Arabic learning, identify the challenges faced during its application, and explore the efforts made to overcome these obstacles. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the application of the Qirā’ah method improves students' vocabulary comprehension and reading skills in Arabic. However, its implementation also faces several challenges, such as students' low interest, time constraints, and limited learning media. Efforts to address these issues include providing motivation, utilizing engaging teaching aids, and assigning varied tasks. In conclusion, the Qirā’ah method can serve as an effective alternative for improving the quality of Arabic language instruction in schools.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has opened new opportunities in the field of education, including in the acquisition of foreign languages such as Arabic. However, the integration of AI into Arabic language acquisition, especially for non-native speakers, still requires further exploration. This study aims to examine the potential of AI in supporting Arabic language acquisition, to identify AI-based learning strategies, and to analyze the challenges encountered in its application. This research uses a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data were collected from various sources, including scholarly journals, books, and articles related to Arabic language learning and AI technology. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically by classifying and synthesizing relevant information. The findings show that AI holds significant potential in enhancing Arabic language acquisition through features such as chatbots, e-learning platforms, interactive quizzes, and conversation simulations. These strategies provide a more flexible, engaging, and personalized learning experience. However, challenges such as limited vocabulary, mistranslations, overdependence on technology, and access limitations still persist. Therefore, the use of AI should be balanced with contextual and critical approaches to ensure that Arabic language acquisition becomes more meaningful and effective.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of developing an international curriculum for Arabic language learning, especially in pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) that generally only use the National Curriculum. Amidst the tide of globalization and the need for foreign language proficiency, Pesantren Al-Ma'tuq Sukabumi is one example of a pesantren that has adopted an international curriculum for Arabic language lessons, in collaboration with the Islamic University of Madinah. This is a new development that is still rarely discussed in academic circles, as international curricula are generally only associated with English or the Cambridge curriculum.  This study aims to analyze the management of international curricula in Arabic language learning at the Madrasah Aliyah level at the Al-Ma'tuq Sukabumi Islamic boarding school. The main focus of the research is to determine how the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the international curriculum applied at the Madrasah Aliyah level at the Al-Ma'tuq Sukabumi Islamic Boarding School are carried out.  This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach and employs interviews, observations, documentation, and questionnaires with the head of the curriculum department, the head of the research and development, Arabic language teachers, and senior high school students to collect data.  The results of the study show that: (1) The planning of the international curriculum is carried out systematically through collaboration with the Islamic University of Madinah, the development of a syllabus based on Middle Eastern standards and external oversight. (2) The implementation of the curriculum reflects an integrative approach between theory and practice, with support from an active Arabic-speaking environment and the use of official textbooks from international partner institutions. (3) The evaluation of the international curriculum is conducted in stages, with regular supervision by supervisors from the Islamic University of Madinah.

Abstract

In this era of educational technology, learning platforms have played a very important role in the educational process. Learning that was previously teacher-centered (teacher-centered) has now been slowly abandoned and began to change to student-centered. Interactive Learning is influenced by several things, one of which is the existence of an Interactive platform. With the existence of this Interactive learning platform, it is finally for students to be active, creative, and willing to interact with the platform itself. Not limited to certain courses, learning platforms have emerged to support any learning with the function of increasing motivation in learning and improving student learning outcomes, including Interactive learning platforms in Arabic courses. This platform that has supported the learning of Arabic language skills, such as listening, speaking, reading and writing skills is perfect for research. This study wants to further examine one of the Interactive platforms in language lectures that has been designed and ready to use without having to prepare their own material, besides that the researcher also wants to examine the effectiveness of this non-arab.com platform and explore the perception of lecturers and students about it. This research is a field research with observation data collection methods, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

Arabic is a key language in understanding the teachings of Islam, including the Qur’an and the Sunnah. One of the essential branches in learning Arabic is nahwu (Arabic grammar), which serves as a foundation for understanding other Islamic sciences. Nahwu Mustawa Three, part of the Silsilah Ta’lim al-Lughah al-‘Arabiyah series compiled by experts at Jami’ah al-Imam Muhammad ibn Suud al-Islamiyah, is a grammar textbook designed for non-native Arabic speakers and has been widely used globally, including in Indonesia. this study aims to analyze the use of visual media in the textbook, considering that visual aids play a significant role in enhancing student interest and comprehension. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data analyzed using Krippendorff’s content analysis technique. the primary data source is the content of Nahwu Mustawa Three, while secondary data were obtained from supporting literature such as books and journals.the results show that the textbook utilizes two types of images: thematic images and semantic images. Thematic images function as contextual or thematic illustrations of the lesson, while semantic images are used to visually introduce vocabulary. Mnemonic images were not found in the textbook. Nevertheless, the two types of images used have proven effective in supporting learning and increasing student motivation. Therefore, the use of visual media in Nahwu Mustawa Tsalits is considered appropriate and effective as a learning aid in teaching Arabic grammar.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Arab dan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan MSA dalam pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Penelitian eksperimen adalah Penelitian yang dilakukan untuk menguji hubungan sebab-akibat antara dua atau lebih variabel dengan cara mengontrol, memanipulasi, dan mengamati pengaruh dari perlakuan atau intervensi yang diberikan terhadap kelompok eksperimen adalah penelitian eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab (PBA) menghasilkan beberapa temuan penting. MSA terbukti memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam aspek keterampilan bahasa Arab, seperti membaca, menulis, mendengarkan, dan berbicara. Selain itu, pendekatan ini memudahkan mahasiswa untuk mengakses literatur Arab modern serta berkomunikasi dengan penutur asli dalam berbagai konteks formal. Namun, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya penguasaan dasar tata bahasa Arab klasik bagi sebagian mahasiswa, yang terkadang memengaruhi pemahaman teks berbahasa Arab fushah secara mendalam.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Arabic vocabulary learning media based on Wordwall application using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research was conducted at Al-Mahiraa IIBS Malang Junior High School involving seventh grade students as subjects. The analysis stage identifies learning needs and student characteristics, while the design and development stage produces interactive game-based learning media such as Speaking Cards, Matchmaker and Quiz. Validation by media experts and material experts showed a very high level of feasibility with an average score of 87.1%. The implementation in the classroom shows that Wordwall is effective in improving students' vocabulary understanding, as well as creating an interactive and fun learning atmosphere. Then the evaluation shows a positive response from students with an average percentage of 86%, although there are technical problems such as errors in the program. In conclusion, Wordwall media is proven effective and feasible to be applied in Arabic language learning, but still requires further development to optimize its use.

Abstract

A literature review emphasizing the integration of technology in Arabic language learning in the digital age that focuses on asynchronous systems discusses advances and challenges in applying technology. Despite digital skills and internet access, innovation in learning remains promising, with applications, online platforms, and artificial intelligence underpinning rich learning experiences. Data obtained from reading articles relevant to the topic discussed. This research utilizes qualitative research methods (Systematic Literature Review) to elaborate and analyze the topic of Arabic learning in the digital era, especially in the asynchronous model. The process of analysis of collection, classification, display and conclusion. As a result, digitization in Arabic language learning involves the integration of digital technologies, using software, applications, and online platforms. This provides an advantage for students and teachers with the accessibility and flexibility of learning. Teachers who are adept at optimizing technology can create innovative, creative, and collaborative learning. The benefits of digitalization for Arabic language learning include increased access and flexibility, student interactivity, and personalization of learning according to individual needs. The literature review underscores the integration of technology in Arabic language learning in the digital age, facing challenges such as digital limitations and uneven internet access. However, there are great opportunities for innovation. The use of various applications, platforms, and artificial intelligence offers a way to enrich learning. Recommendations for the future include the development of the latest technologies, a student-centered approach, diverse digital content, and training for teachers.

Abstract

This study explores the effect of the Scaffolding Method to improve students' Arabic Essay Writing Competence. This study used an experimental strategy with a one-group pretest–posttest design in order to measure changes in performance within the same cohort. The results show that the students' writing skills have significantly improved from their initial assessment scores (68.50) to their final evaluation scores (85.75), with the latter showing a lower standard deviation, indicating greater consistency in performance. The paired samples test findings show a t-value of -8.358 with p < 0.001, which supports the difference's statistical significance. These discoveries affirm that scaffolding represents a beneficial pedagogical approach for enhancing students' essay writing skills, presenting a tangible resolution for the instruction of Arabic essay composition. Beyond statistical gains, the findings also highlight that the method helps students engage more actively in the learning process, fosters confidence in structuring ideas, and gradually reduces reliance on teacher guidance. Nevertheless, this study is limited by the small number of participants and its focus on a single program of study. Future research is recommended to involve larger and more diverse samples and to explore the effectiveness of scaffolding in various other educational contexts and text genres.
