Abstract

: This study analyzes the role of strategic planning in improving the quality of management in Islamic education organizations. Using a library research approach, the study examines various literatures related to strategic planning and Islamic education management. The findings indicate that strategic planning is essential in shaping the vision, mission, and long-term objectives of educational institutions, leading to improved operational efficiency, resource management, and the overall quality of educational services. However, the implementation of strategic planning in Islamic education institutions faces significant challenges, including limited resources and resistance to change. These obstacles hinder the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and long-term institutional development. To address these issues, strong support from stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, and administrators, is crucial. Additionally, enhancing managerial capacity through training and professional development programs is necessary to ensure that strategic planning is effectively implemented and sustained. This study highlights the need for a more structured and adaptive approach to strategic planning in Islamic education organizations to enhance institutional performance and long-term sustainability. By addressing these challenges, Islamic education institutions can develop more effective management strategies that align with their educational and organizational goals.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning methods and their impact on students' mathematical thinking skills at SMK Roudlotul ‘Ulum, which operates under the Roudlotul ‘Ulum Islamic Boarding School Foundation in West Bandung. The population of this study includes all students at SMK Roudlotul ‘Ulum, with a sample consisting of two classes: Class X1 with 33 students and Class X2 with 28 students. The study employs a mixed-method approach with an embedded design in a comparative study. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. Data analysis includes both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The findings reveal that the data are not normally distributed and not homogeneous; therefore, the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U-Test was conducted. Statistical analysis indicates a significant difference between the two classes, with a significance value of 0.008 (p<0.05). Interviews with students support these findings, showing that the problem-based learning approach used in Class X2 was more effective in integrating religious values with mathematical thinking skills compared to the lecture-based method used in Class X1. This study highlights the importance of innovation in Islamic Religious Education teaching methods to holistically develop students' logical and critical thinking skills. The practical implications of this research can serve as a guide for educators in designing more contextual and relevant learning methods, as well as for policymakers to encourage the implementation of problem-based learning approaches in schools, particularly in Islamic Religious Education subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum management in the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project and Rahmatan lil Alamin Student Profile (P5-PPRA) with an entrepreneurial theme at MTsN 1 Jombang. This qualitative research employs a descriptive case study method to explore curriculum management across three key stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. The findings reveal that the planning phase involves forming a facilitator team, developing project modules, and selecting relevant themes. During implementation, students are actively engaged in producing and marketing traditional food, thereby enhancing entrepreneurial skills and internalizing character values aligned with Pancasila and Rahmatan lil Alamin principles. The evaluation process is reflective and comprehensive, assessing both learning outcomes and character development. The program's success is attributed to strong collaboration among stakeholders, adequate facilities, and a culture of cooperation within the madrasah. These results suggest that flexible, inclusive, and sustainable curriculum management plays a vital role in responding to modern educational challenges. The study offers valuable insights that can guide other madrasahs and education policymakers in effectively applying project-based learning for character and competency development.

This study aims to describe the management of guidance and counseling in dealing with puberty at MTs Negeri 17 Jombang. It employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study design, enabling an in-depth understanding of real-world implementation within a madrasah setting. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving counseling teachers, school leaders, and other key stakeholders. The findings show that guidance and counseling management is carried out systematically through planning based on student needs and aligned with the school calendar, implementation of services such as individual counseling, group counseling, and home visits, and reflective evaluation involving feedback from teachers, students, and parents. Supportive factors include institutional commitment, counselor competence, parental involvement, and a religious environment, while constraints include limited time and low student openness. Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 5.0 era demands that the education system adapt to rapid technological advancements without neglecting character development, particularly within Islamic Religious Education (IRE). This article explores the importance of integrating Islamic values into digital character education as a strategy to shape resilient, adaptive, and globally competitive Muslim generations. Without strong spiritual and moral foundations, digital education risks contributing to a character crisis among students. Therefore, the role of IRE teachers is essential in utilizing technology as a medium to instill Islamic values such as honesty, responsibility, tolerance, and discipline. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach with literature review as the primary method. The findings indicate that the integration of Islamic values into digital learning can be achieved through various platforms such as interactive videos, e-learning systems, and educational social media, while maintaining Islamic pedagogical principles. In conclusion, Islamic-based digital character education is not only relevant but also a fundamental necessity in preparing Muslim students to face modern challenges while preserving their moral and spiritual integrity. The implications of this study can serve as a reference for educators and policymakers in designing technology-based IRE curricula.

Abstract

Pesantren, as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, faces the challenges of modernization and globalization that demand improvement in quality and competitiveness. This research aims to analyze change management at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidhil Qur’an Sirojul ’Ulum Semanding Tertek Pare and Pondok Pesantren Darussalam Sumbersari Kencong Kepung in order to enhance quality and competitiveness. The research employs a qualitative approach with a multisite design. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies, and then analyzed using the interactive model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that change management in both pesantren encompasses four dimensions. First, visionary change policies: Sirojul 'Ulum integrates tahfidz education with formal institutions, while Darussalam implements a mu'adalah system and strengthens da'wah. Second, the implementation of changes is carried out participatively through curriculum innovation, learning methods, and community-based da'wah programs. Third, change control is managed through monitoring mechanisms, evaluation, as well as the use of technology and pesantren regulations. Fourth, improvement actions are conducted continuously through curriculum refinement, enhancement of teacher competencies, strengthening the economics of pesantren, and a more adaptive disciplinary approach. This study concludes that effective pesantren change management must integrate visionary policies, participatory implementation, technology and culture-based control, and continuous improvement actions. These findings have theoretical implications in the development of Islamic education management literature, as well as practical implications for pesantren managers and policymakers in supporting quality and competitive pesantren transformation.
