Abstract

The phenomenon of quiet quitting has been recognized as a growing trend in the workplace, particularly among recent graduates post-COVID-19 pandemic. It reflects a deliberate strategy by young workers to resist excessive workloads and address organizational neglect of work-life balance. This study employs a qualitative approach, focusing on five informants who are recent university graduates working in Yogyakarta's informal sector. In-depth interviews were conducted to understand their experiences and strategies in practicing quiet quitting. The findings reveal that quiet quitting emerges as a coping mechanism against exploitative work demands, involving strategies such as rejecting additional tasks outside working hours, clearly separating work from personal life, and negotiating a balance between professional obligations and personal well-being. These practices indicate resistance to exploitative workplace norms and highlight a broader effort to establish sustainable work-life dynamics. The study underscores quiet quitting as a covert resistance strategy that is intricately tied to maintaining well-being and balance.AbstrakFenomena quiet quitting telah menjadi tren yang semakin berkembang di dunia kerja, terutama di kalangan fresh graduate pasca-pandemi COVID-19. Praktik ini menunjukkan adanya strategi yang disengaja oleh pekerja muda untuk menolak beban kerja berlebihan serta kurangnya perhatian organisasi terhadap keseimbangan antara kehidupan kerja dan pribadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan melibatkan lima informan yang merupakan lulusan perguruan tinggi di Yogyakarta dan bekerja di sektor informal. Wawancara mendalam dilakukan untuk memahami pengalaman mereka dan strategi yang diterapkan dalam praktik quiet quitting. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa quiet quitting muncul sebagai mekanisme penyesuaian terhadap tuntutan kerja yang eksploitatif, dengan strategi seperti menolak tugas tambahan di luar jam kerja, memisahkan secara tegas kehidupan pribadi dari pekerjaan, serta menegosiasikan keseimbangan antara tanggung jawab profesional dan kesejahteraan pribadi. Praktik ini menunjukkan adanya bentuk resistensi terhadap norma kerja yang eksploitatif sekaligus menekankan perlunya upaya lebih luas untuk menciptakan dinamika kerja yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa quiet quitting merupakan strategi resistensi terselubung yang terkait erat dengan upaya menjaga kesejahteraan dan keseimbangan hidup.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the Mitra Masyarakat Inklusif (MMI) in empowering persons with disabilities through entrepreneurship programs in Bengkulu City, Indonesia. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, with the research conducted at the MMI office. Informants included community leaders, managers of the MMI Difabelpreneur Center (DCM), and community members with disabilities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, non-participant observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that MMI plays a significant role in economic empowerment by establishing DCM business units, including laundry services, Caf Pojok PeDe, snack production, eco-print fabrics, and Kopi PeDe. These initiatives demonstrate the potential of persons with disabilities to be productive economic actors. Furthermore, MMI organizes skill development training to enhance entrepreneurial capacity and promote economic equality. These efforts not only improve economic well-being but also reshape societal and governmental perceptions of the capabilities of persons with disabilities, fostering greater inclusivity and equal rights in economic participation.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan peran Komunitas Mitra Masyarakat Inklusif (MMI) dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi penyandang disabilitas melalui program wirausaha di Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan informan meliputi pengurus komunitas, pengelola Difabelpreneur Center MMI (DCM), dan anggota komunitas penyandang disabilitas. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi non-partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa MMI berperan dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi penyandang disabilitas melalui unit usaha DCM, seperti Laundry, Caf Pojok PeDe, Cemilan Keripik, Kain Ecoprint, dan Kopi PeDe. Program ini membuktikan bahwa penyandang disabilitas mampu menjadi pelaku ekonomi produktif. Selain itu, MMI menyelenggarakan pelatihan keterampilan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha dan mendorong kesetaraan hak ekonomi. Upaya ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kesejahteraan, tetapi juga mengubah persepsi masyarakat terhadap kemampuan penyandang disabilitas.

Abstract

This study aims to address two primary questions: Why does sexual violence occur in Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren)? How can sexual violence in these institutions be prevented? The methodology employed is a literature review based on the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). The data collection process involves four stages, starting with inclusion and exclusion criteria using Google Scholar with keywords such as Sexual Violence in Islamic Boarding Schools and Inclusive and Gender-Responsive Education in Islamic Boarding Schools. The findings reveal that the root causes of sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools are the hierarchical relationship between the kiai (religious leader) and the santri (students), the perpetuation of patriarchal culture, and the total obedience of the santri to the kiai. These factors also contribute to the underreporting of sexual violence cases, as victims and their families often feel intimidated. To address this issue, gender-inclusive education is necessary, manifested through a Gender Equality Curriculum (KKG). This curriculum ensures that all components involved in the educational system adopt gender-responsive thinking and behavior based on justice and gender equality. Gender-inclusive education will also create a non-segregated learning environment.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab dua pertanyaan utama: Mengapa kekerasan seksual di pondok pesantren bisa terjadi? Bagaimana upaya pencegahan kekerasan seksual di pondok pesantren? Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur berdasarkan Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). Proses pengumpulan data melibatkan empat tahapan, mulai dari tahap inklusi dan eksklusi menggunakan mesin pencarian Google Scholar dengan kata kunci Kekerasan Seksual di pondok pesantren dan Pendidikan Inklusif dan Responsif Gender di pondok pesantren. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akar masalah kekerasan seksual di pondok pesantren disebabkan oleh adanya hierarki antara kiai dan santri, pelanggengan budaya patriarki, dan kepatuhan total santri kepada kiai. Ketiga faktor ini juga menyebabkan kasus kekerasan seksual di pondok pesantren jarang dilaporkan karena korban dan keluarganya merasa takut. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diperlukan pendidikan inklusif gender yang termanifestasi melalui kurikulum kesetaraan gender (KKG). Dengan adanya kurikulum ini, semua komponen dalam sistem pendidikan akan memiliki pola pikir dan perilaku yang responsif gender, berbasis keadilan dan kesetaraan gender. Pendidikan inklusif gender juga akan menciptakan sistem pembelajaran yang non-segregasi gender.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the potential of pluralism in Pakutandang Village as a model for managing diversity in Indonesia. The pluralism in Pakutandang Village is observed through the diversity of religions, ethnicities, cultures, and professions of its community. Using a descriptive qualitative research approach and data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, this study addresses two research questions: first, what are the binding factors of harmony, and second, what are the characteristics of peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Penghayat Kebatinan Perjalanan. The study finds that there are three binding factors of harmony: the ideology of Pancasila, the values of diversity, and religion (belief). The characteristics of peaceful coexistence in Pakutandang Village include: living together harmoniously, learning to recognize differences, establishing good relationships between individuals or groups, and practicing tolerance, mutual respect, and resolving conflicts without violence. The conclusion of this study is that diversity can create harmonious, tolerant, inclusive, and peaceful conditions among various differences, which is expected to become a new model in managing diversity in Indonesia.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi pluralitas di Desa Pakutandang sebagai model dalam praktik pengelolaan keberagaman di Indonesia. Pluralitas di Desa Pakutandang ditinjau dari keberagaman agama, etnis, budaya, dan profesi masyarakatnya. Dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, penelitian ini menjawab dua pertanyaan utama: pertama, apa faktor perekat kerukunan, dan kedua, bagaimana karakteristik koeksistensi damai antara umat Islam dan penghayat Kebatinan Perjalanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga faktor perekat kerukunan, yaitu: ideologi Pancasila, nilai kebhinekaan, dan agama (kepercayaan). Adapun karakteristik kehidupan damai di Desa Pakutandang meliputi: hidup bersama secara harmonis, belajar mengenali perbedaan, terjalinnya hubungan baik antar individu atau kelompok, serta toleransi, saling menghormati, dan penyelesaian konflik tanpa kekerasan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa keberagaman mampu menciptakan kondisi harmonis, toleran, inklusif, dan rukun antar berbagai perbedaan, yang diharapkan dapat menjadi pola baru dalam pengelolaan keberagaman di Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Surah Al-Mu'awwidzatain within the kenduri opat pekara tradition in Bahagie Bertona Village, Aceh, to understand its ceremonial practices and spiritual significance. The research investigates how the Surah is integrated into local customs, highlighting its role in providing protection and blessings during community rituals. The study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology with a phenomenological approach, focusing on field research. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with religious leaders and community members, and document analysis. Triangulation was used to enhance the validity and reliability of the findings. Results indicate that the kenduri opat pekara tradition involves specific preparations believed to appease ancestral spirits, coupled with the recitation of Surah Al-Mu'awwidzatain to invoke divine protection and blessings. The community exhibits diverse interpretations of the Surah's significance, reflecting a complex interplay between Islamic teachings and local cultural practices. The conclusion suggests that the tradition goes beyond the normative use of the Qur'an, integrating it into local customs to strengthen social cohesion and cultural heritage within the Gayo community.

Abstract

This study aims to map and analyze the Social Studies (IPS) curriculum for seventh-grade students, focusing on the integration of peace education values. The primary objective is to provide recommendations for strengthening the IPS curriculum to more effectively shape students' character based on peace values. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data analysis derived from the seventh-grade IPS textbooks published by the Research and Development Agency and Bookkeeping of the Ministry of Research and Technology. The content of these textbooks was mapped and analyzed to identify key themes, sub-materials, and the potential integration of peace education values such as solidarity, tolerance, and diversity. The analysis reveals that although the IPS textbooks do not explicitly emphasize peace education, several sub-materials implicitly reflect important values such as solidarity, cooperation, and respect for diversity. These materials demonstrate significant potential to further support peace education if integrated more systematically and explicitly into the curriculum. The study concludes that the IPS textbooks have substantial potential to strengthen peace education at the junior high school level. With further development, the IPS curriculum can serve a dual purpose: as a medium for knowledge transfer and as a tool for building strong character within the contexts of peace and social sustainability. The primary recommendation of this research is the need for a more explicit integration of peace education values into the IPS curriculum to foster the development of an inclusive, tolerant, and globally competent younger generation.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan dan menganalisis materi ajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di kelas VII, dengan fokus pada integrasi nilai-nilai pendidikan damai. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk memberikan rekomendasi penguatan kurikulum IPS yang lebih efektif dalam membentuk karakter siswa berdasarkan nilai-nilai perdamaian. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan analisis data yang diperoleh dari buku ajar IPS kelas VII yang diterbitkan oleh Balitbang dan Perbukuan Kemenristek. Materi ajar dipetakan dan dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi tema utama, sub-materi, serta potensi integrasi nilai-nilai pendidikan damai seperti solidaritas, toleransi, dan keberagaman. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa meskipun buku ajar IPS belum secara eksplisit menekankan pendidikan damai, beberapa sub-materi secara implisit mencerminkan nilai-nilai penting seperti solidaritas, kerja sama, dan penghargaan terhadap keragaman. Materi-materi ini menunjukkan potensi yang besar untuk lebih mendukung pendidikan damai jika diintegrasikan secara lebih sistematis dan eksplisit dalam kurikulum. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa buku ajar IPS memiliki potensi signifikan untuk memperkuat pendidikan damai di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Dengan pengembangan lebih lanjut, materi ajar IPS dapat berfungsi ganda: sebagai sarana transfer pengetahuan dan sebagai alat pembentuk karakter yang kuat dalam konteks perdamaian dan keberlanjutan sosial. Rekomendasi utama dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya integrasi yang lebih eksplisit dari nilai-nilai pendidikan damai dalam materi ajar IPS untuk mendukung pembentukan generasi muda yang inklusif, toleran, dan siap menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

Khanduri Beureuat is a tradition preserved to welcome the night of Nisfu Syaban. The Acehnese refer to this feast as Khanduri Beureuat because the word Beureuat means blessing, aligning with the purpose of the feast, which is to seek blessings from Allah SWT. Khanduri Beureuat is held on the night of Beureuat, which is the fourteenth day or the night entering the fifteenth of the month of Syaban. This study aims to analyze the celebration of Khanduri Beureuat (Nisfu Syaban Feast) in Gampong Uteuen Gathom, Bireuen, and to reveal the significance of this tradition for the local community. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that the celebration of Khanduri Beureuat is a tradition of the Muslim community in Aceh, particularly in Gampong Uteuen Gathom, Bireuen Regency, carried out from generation to generation. Khanduri Beureuat is held on the night of Beureuat, which is the fourteenth day or the night entering the fifteenth of the month of Syaban. This tradition encompasses various values such as Islamic teachings, humanity, morality, and culture, and it strengthens family bonds, solidarity, and social ties among the residents of Gampong Uteuen Gathom, Bireuen, Aceh.AbstrakKhanduri Beureuat merupakan tradisi yang dilestarikan untuk menyambut malam Nisfu Syaban. Masyarakat Aceh menyebut khanduri ini sebagai Khanduri Beureuat karena kata Beureuat berarti berkah, sesuai dengan tujuan pelaksanaan khanduri ini yaitu untuk mengharap keberkahan dari Allah SWT. Khanduri Beureuat dilaksanakan pada malam Beureuat, yaitu hari keempat belas atau memasuki malam kelima belas bulan Syaban.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perayaan Khanduri Beureuat (Khanduri Nisfu Syaban) di Gampong Uteuen Gathom, Bireuen, serta mengungkapkan makna tradisi tersebut bagi masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perayaan Khanduri Beureuat merupakan tradisi masyarakat Muslim di Aceh, khususnya di Gampong Uteuen Gathom, Kabupaten Bireuen, yang dilaksanakan secara turun-temurun. Tradisi ini mengandung berbagai nilai seperti nilai ajaran Islam, kemanusiaan, moral, dan kebudayaan, serta mempererat hubungan kekeluargaan, solidaritas, dan menguatkan silaturahmi antar warga Gampong Uteuen Gathom, Bireuen, Aceh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the function of the Sahabat Perempuan dan Anak (SAPA) 129 service in addressing violence against women in Aceh. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection involved focus group discussions (FGD) with the Aceh Womens Empowerment and Child Protection Agency (DPPA) and in-depth interviews with female victims of violence. The FGDs and interviews were conducted over two weeks, from June 10, 2024, to June 23, 2024. Data analysis was performed using Robert K. Mertons Structural Functional Theory. The results indicate that the SAPA 129 service has not yet functioned optimally in addressing violence against women in Aceh. The identified barriers include low digital literacy, strong patriarchal culture, limited understanding of womens rights, environmental influences, and biased interpretations of religious provisions. According to Mertons theory, the function of this service should be to address social problems and maintain societal stability. However, there is dysfunction due to the stigma and discrimination against female victims of violence, and the services inability to address the root causes of violence related to cultural, normative, and patriarchal social structures.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fungsi Layanan Sahabat Perempuan dan Anak (SAPA) 129 dalam penanganan kekerasan terhadap perempuan di Aceh. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui FGD dengan DPPA Aceh dan wawancara mendalam dengan perempuan korban kekerasan. FGD dan wawancara dilakukan selama dua minggu, dari 10 Juni 2024 hingga 23 Juni 2024. Analisis data menggunakan teori Struktural Fungsional Robert K. Merton. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Layanan SAPA 129 belum berfungsi optimal dalam mengatasi kekerasan terhadap perempuan di Aceh. Hambatan yang diidentifikasi meliputi minimnya literasi digital, kuatnya budaya patriarki, kurangnya pemahaman tentang hak-hak perempuan, pengaruh lingkungan, dan tafsiran bias terhadap ketentuan agama. Berdasarkan teori Merton, fungsi layanan ini seharusnya mengatasi masalah sosial dan menjaga stabilitas masyarakat. Namun, terdapat disfungsi karena stigma dan diskriminasi terhadap perempuan korban kekerasan, serta ketidakmampuan layanan untuk mengatasi akar penyebab kekerasan yang terkait dengan budaya, norma, dan struktur sosial patriarkal.

Abstract

This study examines the closure of the Fish Auction Place (TPI) in Muarareja, which was caused by debt agreements between fishermen and fish traders for boat purchases. The closure of the TPI has led to fishermen losing access to a competitive sales platform and becoming dependent on the traders' markets. The research method used was qualitative with a case study approach, through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The research participants included 6 skippers or fishermen who own ships, 5 crew members (ABK), 6 collectors or traders, and 3 mothers who make salted fish around the TPI. Data collection was carried out from June 1 to August 28, 2023. The purpose of the study was to analyze changes in the dynamics of patron-client relationships among fishermen in Muarareja and to examine the economic and social impacts of the closure of the TPI. The results showed that the closure of the TPI changed the mechanism of buying and selling fish to be more closed to patrons (traders), which significantly affected the social and economic dynamics of urban fishermen. Based on these findings, it is recommended to examine the effectiveness of alternative programs such as fishermen's cooperatives or micro-loans, and further research is needed on the revitalization of the TPI to improve the overall welfare of fishermen. In the context of public policy, it is also necessary to consider strategies that strengthen the capacity of fishermen in facing increasingly complex global economic challenges. This research is expected to provide significant theoretical and practical contributions to the field of sociology, especially economic sociology.

Abstract

The political policy of the Indonesian government between the 1970s and 1980s was oriented towards political stability by limiting ideological debate and the polarization of society. The policy of political party fusion succeeded in limiting the space for political debate, while the implementation of the single principle of Pancasila succeeded in producing internal polarization among Muslims. The policy encouraged the formation of movement organizations among Muslims, especially the embryonic Muslimah of Wahdah Islamiyah in 1985. This study uses a qualitative method using the perspective of social movements, finding several things: first, the formation of the Wahdah Islamiyah Muslimah movement as a response of salafi groups to the implementation of the single principle of Pancasila in 1985 and the policy of prohibiting the use of hijab for Muslim students issued by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. These two policies become the source of legitimacy for the formation of the movement organization; secondly, the Muslimah movement, in its social action, pays attention to advocacy and strengthening the role of women, especially advocacy for students who face psychological and physical pressure due to the hijab ban policy. Muslim women who remain consistent in wearing the hijab must choose between removing the hijab to remain in government schools or leaving to attend private schools. In addition to students, the Muslimah movement also mobilizes the power of female students to be active in religious social activities; third, the Wahdah Muslimah movement is an instrument of cadre recruitment and expansion of movement identity.AbstrakKebijakan politik pemerintah Indonesia antara dekade 1970-an dan 1980-an berorientasi pada stabilitas politik dengan membatasi perdebatan ideologis dan polarisasi masyarakat. kebijakan fusi partai politik berhasil membatasi ruang perdebatan politik, sementara pemberlakuan asas tunggal Pancasila berhasil memproduksi polarisasi internal umat Islam. Kebijakan tersebut mendorong terbentuknya organisasi pergerakan di kalangan Islam, khususnya terbentuknya embrio Muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah pada 1985. Studi ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan menggunakan perspektif gerakan sosial, menemukan beberapa hal; pertama, pembentukan gerakan muslimah Wahdah Islamiyah sebagai respons kelompok salafi terhadap pemberlakuan asas tunggal Pancasila pada 1985 dan kebijakan pelarangan menggunakan jilbab bagi pelajar muslimah yang dikeluarkan oleh Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI. Dua kebijakan ini menjadi sumber legitimasi pembentukan organisasi pergerakan; kedua, gerakan muslimah dalam aksi sosialnya memberikan perhatian pada advokasi dan penguatan peran perempuan, khususnya advokasi terhadap pelajar yang menghadapi tekanan psikologis dan fisik akibat kebijakan pelarangan jilbab, muslimah yang tetap konsisten menggunakan jilbab harus memilih antara melepaskan jilbab untuk tetap sekolah pada sekolah-sekolah pemerintah atau keluar untuk mengikuti sekolah swasta. Selain pelajar, gerakan muslimah juga menggalang kekuatan dari kalangan mahasiswi untuk aktif dalam kegiatan sosial keagamaan; ketiga, gerakan muslimah Wahdah adalah instrumen rekruitmen kader dan perluasan identitas gerakan.
