Abstract

Learning activity is an essential indicator of successful learning in Islamic Religious Education. However, teacher-centered instructional practices often limit student participation and engagement during classroom learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Two Stay Two Stray learning model based on Roleplay Card media on students' learning activity in Islamic Religious Education at SMK Geomatika Bandar Lampung. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a post-test-only control group design. The sample consisted of an experimental class that received instruction through the Two Stay Two Stray learning model based on Roleplay Card media and a control class that received conventional learning. Data were collected through a learning activity questionnaire and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent sample t-test analyses. The results showed a significant difference in learning activity between students in the experimental and control classes, with a significance value of 0.005 (p < 0.05). Students who learned through the Two Stay Two Stray model based on Roleplay Card media demonstrated higher levels of learning activity than those who experienced conventional instruction. These findings indicate that integrating cooperative learning with interactive learning media effectively promotes student engagement and participation in Islamic Religious Education. The study contributes to the development of innovative student-centered learning strategies and provides practical implications for teachers seeking to enhance classroom interaction and learning quality.

Abstract

Digital transformation in school governance requires administrative staff to possess adequate competence in managing educational data accurately, timely, and accountably through the Basic Education Data System (Dapodik). This study aims to analyze the strengthening of school administrative staff competence through Dapodik-based on-the-job training and to identify changes in competence, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study employed a qualitative approach with a school-based case study design at SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak. Data were collected through training documentation, observation of administrative work practices, comparison of conditions before and after mentoring, and reflective notes on the training process. The data were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively by categorizing findings based on initial competence conditions, training implementation, competence changes, and supporting and inhibiting factors. The findings show that Dapodik-based on-the-job training conducted through direct practice, demonstration, guided trials, supervision, and follow-up strengthened administrative staff independence in operating Dapodik, using information technology, entering student and teacher data, understanding validation and synchronization procedures, and improving confidence in delivering digital administrative services. The main supporting factors included principal support, mentoring by the head of school administration, collaboration among teachers and students in providing data, and the availability of technological facilities, while the inhibiting factors included infrastructure limitations and the risk of unproductive internet use. This study concludes that Dapodik is not only a national education data platform but can also serve as a contextual medium for human resource competence development through work-based training. The implication of this study highlights the importance of continuous mentoring, digital administrative supervision, adequate technological support, and periodic competence evaluation as part of strengthening data-based school governance.

Abstract

Quality assurance in Raudhatul Athfal (RA) and Islamic early childhood education (PIAUD) institutions in Indonesia has become increasingly urgent because these institutions must align child development, Islamic values, national standards, accreditation requirements, and institutional leadership. However, studies on RA/PIAUD quality remain fragmented, often discussing standards, leadership, evaluation, accreditation, and implementation barriers separately. This systematic literature review synthesizes Indonesian studies published between 2019 and 2025 on quality assurance in RA and PIAUD institutions, focusing on standards, leadership, and implementation. The review followed PRISMA 2020 reporting guidance and PRISMA-S principles for transparent search reporting. Searches were conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Garuda, and Neliti using Indonesian and English keywords related to RA, PIAUD, Islamic early childhood education, quality assurance, accreditation, leadership, standards, and evaluation. From 202 records initially identified, 18 studies met the eligibility criteria and were included in the qualitative thematic synthesis. The synthesis indicates that quality assurance research in RA/PIAUD is dominated by three interrelated themes: fulfillment of national standards and accreditation, leadership and educator professionalism, and implementation constraints in learning evaluation, infrastructure, financing, and stakeholder participation. Most studies are local, descriptive, and institution-specific, with limited comparative, longitudinal, or mixed-method evidence. The article contributes a thematic map of RA/PIAUD quality assurance and highlights the need for integrated models connecting policy standards, leadership practices, and classroom-level quality improvement.

Abstract

The internalization of religious values in children is the main foundation for forming Muslim character from an early age. This study aims to analyze the concept of internalization of religious values in children based on Surah Luqman verses 13-19 and the hadith about the fitrah (innate nature) of children (HR. al-Bukhari No. 1358 & HR. Muslim No. 2658), as well as to formulate an implementation model in the context of empowering the educational community. The method used is library research with a thematic interpretation approach (maudhu’i) and hadith analysis (tahlili). The results show that the religious values in Surah Luqman verses 13-19 include monotheism (tauhid), devotion to parents (birrul walidain), awareness of Allah's supervision, prayer (shalat), enjoining good and forbidding evil (amar ma’ruf nahi munkar), patience, and noble character. The hadith of fitrah affirms that children are born in a pure state with the potential for monotheism, and parents act as the main actors in directing that fitrah. The integration of both produces a gradual internalization model based on affection, role modeling, and habituation from an early age. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of the role of parents and educators as agents of empowerment of the educational community in instilling religious values in children.

Abstract

This community service program was motivated by the need to provide English language learning that is inclusive, enjoyable, and aligned with the characteristics of elderly learners. The program aimed to strengthen the English speaking skills of elderly participants through a fun learning approach at Sekolah Lansia Cahaya Kartini. It was conducted on February 19, 2026, by a team of lecturers from the English Education Study Program, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training, UIN Raden Intan Lampung. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) design comprising four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The learning materials focused on basic communication skills, including greetings, self-introduction, simple vocabulary, pronunciation, and daily conversations. The fun learning strategy was implemented through ice-breaking activities, language games, singing, role play, vocabulary drilling, and paired or group dialogue practice. Data were collected through participant activity observation, satisfaction questionnaires, field notes, and activity documentation, and were subsequently analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques and simple quantitative analysis based on percentages. The results indicated that the fun learning approach fostered greater enthusiasm, participation, speaking confidence, and self-assurance among participants in using simple English expressions. The satisfaction questionnaire revealed positive responses across several aspects: easy-to-understand materials (90%), an enjoyable learning atmosphere (95%), engaging activities (93%), communicative and interactive facilitators (96%), increased self-confidence (88%), and perceived usefulness of the program (97%). Therefore, fun learning can be regarded as a relevant approach for strengthening English speaking skills among elderly learners in non-formal education settings, as it meaningfully integrates language learning, emotional support, and social interaction.

Abstract

Digital transformation in early childhood education has created new opportunities and challenges for Islamic Early Childhood Education, particularly in ensuring that digital learning remains aligned with children’s developmental characteristics, Islamic values, and pedagogical ethics. This study aims to systematically review relevant literature on developmentally appropriate digital pedagogy in Islamic Early Childhood Education, with specific attention to teacher roles, child agency, parental involvement, and developmental risks. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review design guided by the PRISMA framework. Articles were identified through selected national and international scholarly databases using keywords related to digital pedagogy, early childhood education, Islamic early childhood education, developmentally appropriate practice, digital play, digital literacy, teacher mediation, and child well-being. The selected studies were analyzed using thematic synthesis to identify patterns, conceptual intersections, and research gaps. The findings indicate that digital pedagogy in Islamic Early Childhood Education should not be reduced to the technical use of digital tools; rather, it must be understood as an integrative pedagogical approach that combines developmentally appropriate practice, teacher mediation, child participation, parental guidance, digital safety, and the internalization of Islamic moral values. The review also reveals that excessive screen exposure, low-quality content, weak adult supervision, and passive digital consumption may pose risks to children’s holistic development. The novelty of this study lies in its integrative synthesis of digital pedagogy, child developmental appropriateness, and Islamic educational values. The study implies that Islamic early childhood institutions need clear pedagogical guidelines, digitally and religiously competent teachers, developmentally suitable Islamic digital content, and active parental collaboration to ensure safe, meaningful, and value-oriented digital learning for young children.

Abstract

The quality of the physical classroom environment is an external factor that plays an important role in supporting students’ comfort, concentration, and learning outcomes; however, previous studies have tended to examine lighting, noise, and temperature separately. This study aims to analyze and synthesize empirical findings on the effects of classroom lighting, noise, and temperature on students’ learning outcomes and to identify research gaps that require further investigation. This study employed a qualitative approach using an integrative literature review design. Data were collected from relevant peer-reviewed journal articles indexed in international databases or accredited national journals, with accessible DOIs and published between 2018 and 2026. The literature selection process was conducted through identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and final article inclusion, followed by content analysis to identify patterns of findings, conceptual relationships, and each study’s contribution to the research focus. The findings indicate that adequate lighting supports visual comfort, improves focus, and helps students process learning information more effectively. Excessive noise disrupts speech perception, attention, working memory, and material comprehension, while uncomfortable classroom temperature reduces stamina, motivation, and learning concentration. These findings confirm that lighting, noise, and temperature should not be understood as isolated factors, but as interrelated components of the learning environment that shape the quality of students’ learning experiences. The implication of this study is that schools, teachers, and policymakers need to consider the management of the physical classroom environment as part of learning quality improvement strategies through better lighting regulation, noise control, ventilation improvement, and more optimal classroom temperature management.

Abstract

Al-Qur’an Hadith learning occupies a strategic position in shaping students’ religious understanding while simultaneously instilling the values of social justice. However, studies in Islamic education indicate that gender bias may emerge through curricula, teaching materials, classroom language, role distribution, and learning assessment. This article aims to reconstruct the integration of a gender perspective in Al-Qur’an Hadith learning and to formulate the conceptual IGPAH model. This study employed a qualitative approach using a library research design based on literature synthesis. Data were obtained from the Qur’an, hadith, exegetical works, authoritative books, journal articles, and educational documents relevant to gender, Islamic education, gender-responsive pedagogy, and Al-Qur’an Hadith learning. The data were analyzed through content analysis involving data reduction, thematic categorization, critical interpretation, source triangulation, and conceptual synthesis. The findings reveal that gender equality has a strong theological foundation in the Qur’an through the principles of human equality, spiritual equality, equal opportunities for righteous deeds, and social partnership between men and women. The study also confirms that gender integration in Al-Qur’an Hadith learning should be implemented across the dimensions of lesson planning, instructional practice, assessment, and social transformation. The novelty of this article lies in the formulation of the IGPAH Model, which integrates theological, pedagogical, evaluative, and transformative dimensions as a framework for developing Al-Qur’an Hadith learning that is inclusive, humanistic, and justice-oriented.

Abstract

Data-based strategic management has become an essential approach for school improvement because schools are increasingly expected to plan, implement, and evaluate quality enhancement programs through credible evidence rather than administrative intuition. This Systematic Literature Review aims to synthesize studies on data-based strategic management in school quality improvement, identify how data are used across strategic management cycles, examine enabling and constraining factors, and formulate a contextual conceptual model for schools. The review adapted PRISMA 2020 and PRISMA-S guidelines. Searches were conducted across Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, DOAJ, Crossref, Google Scholar, Garuda, and official Indonesian education policy sources using English and Indonesian keywords related to data-driven decision making, strategic management, school improvement, Rapor Pendidikan, and Perencanaan Berbasis Data. From 773 initially identified records, 35 core documents met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that data-based strategic management involves quality diagnosis, data interpretation, strategy articulation, program implementation, impact evaluation, and continuous correction. Key enabling factors include principal leadership, teacher data literacy, collaborative data culture, data validity, digital infrastructure, and policy support. Major barriers include administrative data use, limited analytical capacity, fragmented information systems, and organizational resistance. The study contributes a DIALEKTIK-DATA model to strengthen evidence-informed school governance and continuous quality improvement.

Abstract

Educational institutions are increasingly required to strengthen quality, innovation, accountability, and competitiveness in response to policy changes, technological transformation, and growing public expectations. This study aims to analyze and synthesize recent empirical findings on educational strategic management in improving the quality and competitiveness of educational institutions. An integrative literature review was employed by examining peer-reviewed empirical articles published between 2024 and 2026. The selection process began with 86 identified articles, followed by year-based screening, duplicate removal, title and abstract screening, methodological eligibility assessment, and journal indexing verification, resulting in seven final articles that met the inclusion criteria. The analysis was conducted through thematic synthesis by extracting key information related to research focus, institutional context, method, major findings, contribution to quality improvement, and contribution to institutional competitiveness. The findings reveal that educational strategic management contributes to institutional quality and competitiveness through several interconnected dimensions, namely strategic planning, quality culture, principal leadership, human resource management, school-based management, digital transformation, institutional differentiation, accreditation, and continuous evaluation. The synthesis indicates that educational quality is not merely determined by administrative compliance or academic outcomes, but by the institution’s capacity to build sustainable quality culture, professional teacher performance, adaptive governance, innovation, and public accountability. Institutional competitiveness is also shaped by the ability to create distinctive, relevant, and sustainable educational value. The implication of this study is that school leaders, education managers, foundations, supervisors, and policymakers need to design strategic management practices that are integrated, data-informed, participatory, adaptive, and oriented toward continuous quality improvement.
