Abstract

Augmented reality (AR) technology has emerged as a powerful tool in various sectors, offering innovative solutions that enhance user engagement and experience. In the context of social business models, AR has the potential to drive sustainable development by addressing key social and environmental challenges. Despite its growing popularity, the role of AR in enhancing social business models remains underexplored. This research aims to investigate the impact of augmented reality on social business models and its potential to contribute to sustainable development. The study seeks to identify how AR can be integrated into social enterprises to enhance their effectiveness and sustainability. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative case studies. A survey was conducted with 150 social entrepreneurs to gather data on the use of AR and its perceived impact. Additionally, five in-depth case studies of social enterprises utilizing AR were conducted to provide detailed insights into implementation strategies and outcomes. The findings indicate that AR significantly enhances the effectiveness of social business models by improving user engagement, education, and operational efficiency. Social enterprises using AR reported higher levels of community engagement and greater impact on their social and environmental goals. The case studies revealed successful strategies for integrating AR, such as interactive educational content and immersive storytelling, which contributed to achieving sustainable development outcomes. The study concludes that augmented reality holds substantial potential for enhancing social business models and promoting sustainable development. By leveraging AR technology, social enterprises can create more engaging and impactful solutions to address social and environmental challenges. Continued research and investment in AR applications within the social enterprise sector are recommended to fully realize its potential.

Abstract

Social entrepreneurs play a critical role in addressing community challenges by developing innovative solutions. The integration of creative technologies has further expanded the potential for these entrepreneurs to make a significant impact. This study investigates how social entrepreneurs are leveraging creative technologies to address various community challenges, examining the effectiveness and implications of these technologies in social entrepreneurship. The primary objective of this research is to explore the ways in which social entrepreneurs utilize creative technologies to tackle community issues. The study aims to identify key strategies, tools, and technologies that have been successful in creating positive social change. This research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative case studies. A survey was conducted with 200 social entrepreneurs to gather data on the types of creative technologies used and their perceived effectiveness. Additionally, in-depth case studies of five social enterprises were conducted to provide detailed insights into the implementation and impact of these technologies. The findings indicate that social entrepreneurs are increasingly adopting creative technologies such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mobile applications to address community challenges. These technologies have been particularly effective in areas such as education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. The case studies revealed that the successful use of creative technologies often involves a combination of innovative thinking, community engagement, and collaboration with tech experts. The study concludes that creative technologies offer significant potential for social entrepreneurs to address community challenges effectively. By leveraging these technologies, social entrepreneurs can enhance their impact, improve community engagement, and drive sustainable solutions. The research highlights the need for continued support and investment in creative technologies within the field of social entrepreneurship.

Abstract

The advent of creative technologies such as game design and virtual reality (VR) has opened new avenues for social innovation. These technologies offer immersive and interactive experiences that can address various societal challenges, from education to mental health. Despite their potential, there is limited comprehensive research on how these technologies are being utilized in social innovation. This research aims to explore how creative technologies in game design and virtual reality are transforming society through social innovation. The study seeks to identify successful case studies and analyze the impact of these technologies on different social sectors. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, examining six social innovation projects that leverage game design and VR. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with project leaders, direct observation, and analysis of project outcomes. This approach provides a detailed understanding of the implementation processes, challenges, and successes of each project. The findings indicate that game design and VR have significant potential to create positive social change. Projects in education showed enhanced student engagement and learning outcomes, while mental health initiatives reported improved therapeutic experiences and patient well-being. Other projects addressed issues such as social inclusion and environmental awareness, demonstrating the versatility and effectiveness of these technologies. The study concludes that creative technologies in game design and VR can play a transformative role in social innovation. By providing engaging and immersive experiences, these technologies can effectively address a wide range of societal challenges. Continued research and investment in these areas are recommended to fully harness their potential for social good.

Abstract

The intersection of creative technology and social entrepreneurship presents new opportunities for community development. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies have the potential to create immersive experiences that can address social issues and foster sustainable development. Despite the growing interest in these technologies, there is a lack of comprehensive research on their application in social entrepreneurship. This study aims to explore how innovations in VR and AR can be harnessed to support social entrepreneurship initiatives focused on community development. The research seeks to identify best practices, challenges, and the impact of these technologies on social businesses. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative phase involved interviews with social entrepreneurs who have integrated VR and AR into their projects. The quantitative phase included surveys to measure the impact of these technologies on community engagement and development. Case studies of successful implementations were also analyzed to provide practical insights. The findings reveal that VR and AR technologies significantly enhance community engagement and participation in social entrepreneurship projects. Social entrepreneurs reported improved outreach, better visualization of social issues, and increased empathy among participants. Quantitative data showed a positive correlation between the use of these technologies and the effectiveness of community development initiatives. Innovations in VR and AR offer promising tools for social entrepreneurs aiming to create positive social impacts. These technologies enhance the ability to engage communities and address complex social issues. Future research should focus on scaling these innovations and exploring their long-term effects on sustainable development.

Abstract

The increasing popularity of interactive media, particularly video games, presents a unique opportunity to address global challenges. By integrating elements of game design with sustainable development goals (SDGs), it is possible to create engaging experiences that drive positive social impact. This study explores the potential of game design to contribute to sustainable development and social impact. The primary objective of this research is to investigate how interactive media, specifically video games, can be designed to promote sustainable development and foster social impact. The study aims to identify key design elements that effectively engage players and encourage behaviors aligned with the SDGs. This research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data. A literature review was conducted to understand existing frameworks and theories related to game design and sustainability. This was followed by the development of a prototype game incorporating these principles. The game was tested with a sample of 100 participants through surveys and focus group discussions to gather insights on player engagement and behavioral impact. The findings indicate that well-designed interactive media can significantly raise awareness and influence behaviors related to sustainable development. Participants reported increased knowledge and motivation to engage in activities supporting the SDGs. Key design elements such as immersive storytelling, rewarding systems, and collaborative challenges were identified as crucial in driving player engagement and social impact. The study concludes that interactive media, especially video games, hold substantial potential in promoting sustainable development and social impact. By incorporating strategic design elements, game developers can create compelling experiences that not only entertain but also educate and inspire positive change.

Abstract

East Luwu Regency is one of the Second Level Regions in the province of South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The regency originated from the expansion of North Luwu Regency which was passed by Law No. 7/2003 on 25 February 2003. Malili is the capital city of East Luwu Regency, located at the northern end of the Gulf of Bone. community engagement ensures the long-term success of bridge projects. By empowering communities, fostering transparency, and considering social and economic factors, we can build bridges that truly benefit everyone.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the use of Economic Value Added (EVA) to measure financial performance at PT. Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. period 2019 to 2023. This research uses quantitative analysis methods using secondary data sources with documentation data collection techniques, data analysis techniques using EVA (Economic Value Added) which consists of NOPAT and capital charges. The research results show that in 2019 the financial performance of PT. Astra Agro Lestari Tbk is said to be not good, because the EVA value produced is negative (EVA<0). In 2020-2023 the financial performance of PT. Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. is said to be good because the resulting EVA value is positive (EVA>0).

Abstract

Universities have a role in shaping students' specialization in entrepreneurship. The small interest of university alumni needs to be carried out in various studies. Factors that if they are influential need to be studied. The purpose of this study is to determine the direct and indirect influence of self-efficacy, entrepreneurial knowledge on entrepreneurial interest with motivation as an intervening variable.  The number of samples filled out were students of Duta Bangsa University Surakarta in the 3rd semester of the Faculty of Law and Business Management Study Program with 44 respondents, the Faculty of Health Sciences S1 ARS Study Program with 8 respondents and the RMIK Study Program with 53 respondents through google form so that the number of samples was 105. Data analysis through path analysis, data quality test/survival test and statistical test.  The results showed that self-efficacy and entrepreneurial knowledge had a significant positive effect on motivation. Self-efficacy and entrepreneurial knowledge have a significant positive effect on entrepreneurial interest. Motivation has a positive but not significant effect on entrepreneurial interest. The direct influence of self-efficacy is the most effective variable in influencing the interest in self-efficacy.

Abstract

In recent decades, the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in supporting the national economy has been increasingly recognized. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the tiered managerial training program of the Central Java Cooperative & MSMEs Training Center on the managerial capabilities of MSMEs and how this program contributes to increasing the scale of their businesses. In addition, this study also aims to provide recommendations for strategies to improve the effectiveness of similar training in the future in order to optimally encourage MSMEs towards a larger and more competitive business scale. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, the data used in this study were collected through various techniques, including observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study showed a positive impact of the training. an increase in the average turnover of participants, which reached 224%, an increase in participant assets by 168%, an increase in the number of workers recruited by training participants reaching 209%. Through strategies that include strengthening the global market-oriented curriculum, more sustainable mentoring, integration of digital technology, strengthening alumni networks, focusing on product innovation, cooperation with financing institutions, and data-based evaluation, the effectiveness of this training can be further improved.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of trust, convenience and risk on online beauty product purchasing decisions through e-commerce of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang students. This study uses a quantitative research design aimed at consumers or users of e-commerce shopee, tiktok shop and facebook on UIN Raden Fatah students. with a data collection method using a questionnaire. for sampling in this study in the form of probability sampling with a sampling technique using a simple random sampling technique of 100 people with the help of IBM SPSS 26 program analysis. The results of this study indicate that trust has a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase beauty products through e-commerce. Convenience has a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase beauty products through e-commerce. Risk has a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase beauty products through e-commerce. Simultaneously, trust, convenience and risk together have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase beauty products online through e-commerce on UIN Raden Fatah Palembang students.
