Abstract

Pendidikan matematika seringkali dianggap sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit dan membosankan oleh banyak siswa. Oleh karena itu, penting untuk mencari pendekatan yang lebih menarik dan efektif dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu metode yang dapat diterapkan adalah edutainment, yaitu penggabungan antara pendidikan dan hiburan yang dapat membuat proses belajar menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan interaktif. Artikel ini mengkaji penerapan edutainment dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui video game di SMPN 3 Kota Sungai Penuh. Tujuan utama dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terhadap mata pelajaran matematika dengan memanfaatkan video game edukatif yang dirancang khusus. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan kepada guru dan implementasi permainan berbasis teknologi yang mengintegrasikan konsep-konsep matematika dalam bentuk yang menarik dan mudah dipahami. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa merasa lebih termotivasi dan tertarik untuk belajar matematika setelah menggunakan video game sebagai media pembelajaran. Selain itu, mereka juga menunjukkan peningkatan dalam pemahaman konsep-konsep matematika dasar. Melalui penggabungan unsur hiburan dalam pembelajaran, diharapkan proses belajar matematika dapat lebih menyenankan, efektif, dan berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika di SMPN 3 Kota Sungai Penuh dan menjadi model yang dapat diterapkan di sekolah-sekolah lainnya.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur'an dengan baik dan benar merupakan keterampilan dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh umat Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dasar dan kelancaran membaca Al-Qur'an di RTA Al-Mubaroq Semurup dengan memadukan metode Iqra' dan edutainment. Metode Iqra' yang terkenal dengan pendekatannya yang bertahap dan sistematis dipadukan dengan edutainment sehingga tercipta pembelajaran yang menarik dan menyenangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) yang memanfaatkan aset yang ada di RTA Al-Mubaroq. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggabungan metode Iqra' dan edutainment berhasil meningkatkan motivasi dan keterampilan membaca Al-Qur'an pada peserta didik. Peningkatan ini berkontribusi pada pembentukan karakter yang lebih baik dan terciptanya lingkungan masyarakat yang lebih harmonis di Semurup.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to optimize local potential in the Air Pura District through empowerment based on economic, social, and educational aspects. The program was designed using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, emphasizing active participation of the community at every stage, from problem identification and planning to activity evaluation. This participatory approach enables the community to be directly involved in exploring local potential, designing solutions, and taking actions aligned with their needs. The program achieved several key outcomes, including increased community income through diversification of livelihoods based on local potential, strengthened social and cultural values through collaborative activities, and improved education quality through skills training and literacy eradication programs. The success of this program not only brought about positive changes in economic, social, and educational aspects but also established a sustainable empowerment ecosystem. This empowerment model is expected to be replicable in other regions by adapting to their local characteristics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the CAKEP strategy implementation in assisting the Merdeka Curriculum implementation at SLB N 1 Sungai Pagu. The CAKEP strategy, comprising five main components: Coaching, Execution Arrangement, Collaboration, Expert Involvement, and Limitless Care, was applied to enhance inclusive education quality for students with special needs. The results indicate that this approach effectively improved teacher competence, parent involvement, and community support in creating a more conducive learning environment. Increased teacher motivation, optimized resource utilization, and external support from psychologists and community leaders significantly enhanced the curriculum’s effectiveness. These findings highlight the importance of cross-sector partnerships in inclusive education and offer a potential model for other resource-limited schools.

Abstract

Efforts to increase public knowledge about rhizome plants (ginger, turmeric and lemongrass) which can be used as herbal or natural medicine. Opening the insight of the people of Bato village in increasing their immune system to reduce the increase in degenerative diseases such as diabetes, hypertension and cholesterol. We carry out community service activities for Bato Village PKK mothers. In this activity, bioactive compounds from ginger, turmeric and lemongrass rhizomes were introduced and their benefits for the body. Overall, community service activities were able to run well and were conducive, this can be seen from the many questions asked by PKK women who gained new knowledge about the benefits of rhizome plant

Abstract

This science outreach activity aims to explore the effectiveness of posters as a learning medium in science education. The activity was conducted at a Madrasah Tsanawiyah, involving 23 students who participated in science learning on waves and sound using posters designed by Tadris Physics students. Before the learning session, students were asked to assess their interest in and difficulty with learning science. After the session, they provided their perceptions of using posters as a learning tool. The results indicate that the majority of students enjoy science, although some still find it challenging. Posters effectively captured students’ attention and aided their understanding of concepts, with an average positive perception score of 3.58 out of 5. However, some students still struggled to comprehend the poster content independently, highlighting the need for additional guidance from instructors. These findings align with previous research showing that posters can enhance student engagement in science learning. As a recommendation, project-based science outreach activities, such as student-created scientific posters, can be implemented to improve conceptual understanding and scientific communication skills.

Abstract

Trash is a critical issue that requires serious attention. Education about waste management has become one of the essential pillars in improving public knowledge and participation in addressing waste problems. This activity aims to educate students about waste to enhance their understanding. The activity was carried out through interactive workshops divided into several stages: pretest, lecture and demonstration, question and answer session, simulation, and posttest. The participants in this activity were fourth-grade students from MIS 08/E72 Debai, Kota Sungai Penuh. The results of the activity showed an improvement in students' knowledge about waste, as indicated by an average post-test score of 80.00 compared to a pre-test score of 28.33. The students appeared enthusiastic and motivated during this educational activity, as evidenced by their active participation in the question-and-answer sessions.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance students' abilities in writing scientific articles through the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. Based on an initial survey, the main obstacles faced by students are limited time, difficulty in understanding writing structures, and low levels of creativity in developing ideas. To address these issues, training was conducted involving the use of AI-based tools such as Grammarly, QuillBot, and ChatGPT. The activity consisted of an introductory workshop, simulations of AI usage in article writing, group discussions, and intensive mentoring. Evaluation of the program showed a significant increase in students' confidence and productivity in completing scientific articles. The publication of the scientific articles produced by the students serves as a form of appreciation and recognition of their efforts. This activity has proven effective in improving the quality of students' scientific writing and introducing the ethical use of AI technology in academia.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are important skills for students in helping students solve everyday problems and support decision-making based on data and mathematical logic. Numeracy skills are integrated with everyday problems such as population. This study aims to train students' numeracy skills through training integrated with population issues, especially nutritional status based on Body Mass Index (BMI). This training activity was carried out at SMPN 1 Plumbon with 30 IPS and PMR extracurricular students. The training activity went through three stages, namely the planning, implementation and evaluation stages. The planning stage is the team coordinating with the supervising teacher regarding the training concept and creating materials. The implementation stage is carried out twice, namely the presentation of materials by the resource person and the practice of calculating BMI using the Microsoft Excel application. The evaluation stage is to help students interpret the results of data processing in the form of infographics.

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) is an essential component of the National Assessment policy aimed at measuring students' reading literacy and numeracy competencies in depth. However, many vocational high school (SMK) students are not yet familiar with the characteristics of AKM questions, which require critical thinking and contextual understanding. This community service program was conducted to help students at SMK Negeri 1 Cirebon understand the structure and patterns of AKM questions through a classical question-analysis approach. The activity took place in March 2025, using a participatory method involving 35 tenth-grade students from five different classes. Students worked individually on AKM-type questions, followed by group discussions and evaluations using the Quizizz platform. The results showed that students gained a better understanding of AKM contexts, were able to identify key information, and apply appropriate problem-solving strategies. Moreover, they showed high enthusiasm throughout the activity. This program demonstrated that classical question-analysis is an effective strategy for enhancing vocational students’ readiness for AKM.
