Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of non-examples learning using audio visual media on motivation and social studies learning outcomes. The type of research used in this research is quantitative research with an experimental approach to find the effect of certain treatments. The type of experiment used is a nonequivalent type of Quasi Experimental. The data analysis technique uses the Manova test with SPSS version 21 to see the effect of the average value of learning motivation for experimental class students before treatment is 73.00 and the average value of learning motivation for experimental class students after treatment is 90.00. Meanwhile, the average value of learning motivation for control class students before treatment was 67.00 and the average value of learning motivation for control class students after treatment was 83.00. As for learning outcomes, the average value of experimental class before treatment was 67.27 and the average value of learning outcomes the experimental class after the treatment was 83.64, while the results of the descriptive analysis of student learning outcomes showed that the average value of the control class learning outcomes before the treatment was 61.82 and the average value of the control class student learning outcomes after the treatment was 74.55, while the constant value of examples non -examples (X) is 3.643 which states that if the variables Y1,Y2 are equal to zero then the non-examples are 3.642, the Y1 coefficient is 0.043, meaning that every time there is an influence on student learning outcomes of 1%, student learning outcomes have an effect of 0.043(4 %) or vice versa, if student learning outcomes experience a decrease of 1% then student learning outcomes decrease by 0.043(4%), the Y2 coefficient of 0.081 means that every time there is an influence on student learning motivation of 1%, student learning motivation has an effect of 0.081(8%) or vice versa, if student learning motivation decreases by 1%, then student learning motivation decreases by 0.081(8%).

Abstract

Assessment has the purpose to determine the attainment of educational objectives. There are three domains of assessment: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The cognitive domain focuses on assessing knowledge, comprehension, and intellectual thinking. Cognitive assessment tools can be designed through the utilization of authentic assessments, which replicate real-world situations or contexts. Authentic assessment methodologies offer a more precise means of evaluating a student's capacity to apply acquired concepts. This research had the purpose to investigate the development of cognitive assessment instruments within the independent curriculum at MTs Negeri 1 East Lombok. This qualitative research utilized a field-based approach, collecting data through teacher observations and interviews conducted at MTs Negeri 1 East Lombok. The data analysis process included data reduction, presentation, and inference. The outcomes suggested that cognitive domain assessment instruments in the independent curriculum should be in alignment with the learning objectives, integrate various question types, involve students in their development, and provide constructive feedback.

Abstract

This correlational study investigates the impact of folklore-implemented teaching on the integrated English language skills of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. Embracing a holistic approach to language learning, the study explores the interconnected development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills when exposed to the immersive context of folklore narratives. The study employs a correlational research design to analyze the associations between folklore-implemented teaching and the enhancement of various language skills. Utilizing qualitative and quantitative data collection methods, including questionnaire, observations, and literature study, the research seeks to discern patterns and correlations that elucidate the potential benefits of integrating folklore into the EFL curriculum. The findings contribute valuable insights into the effectiveness of folklore-based instruction in cultivating not only linguistic proficiency but also cultural awareness among EFL learners, where from data processing, sig 0.039 < 0.05 means reject Ho, thus it can be understood that there is a significant correlation or relationship between the folklore-implemented and student English skills in integrated learning. The results may inform instructional practices and curriculum design, providing a foundation for the integration of folklore as a pedagogical tool to enhance the integrated language skills of EFL students. Ultimately, the study contributes to the ongoing discourse on innovative and culturally relevant approaches to language education, aiming to advance the quality and efficacy of English language instruction for diverse learner populations.

Abstract

Indonesia often faces the problem of a lack of job opportunities which results in high unemployment and fewer opportunities to find work for school graduates. Therefore, teacher innovation is needed in learning to foster student competencies such as creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication and so on, in which these competencies can be summarized as entrepreneurship competencies. Entrepreneurship competencies needs to be cultivated in every student to form an entrepreneurial spirit, so that they can realize economic development and open their own jobs. To build entrepreneurship competencies through internalization in life, learning in schools requires a comprehensive study of the potential of the learning model used by teachers in learning mathematics. Student-centred learning models such as Problem-based Learning and Project-based Learning indirectly build and instill entrepreneurship competencies in students, including creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and independence.

Abstract

Solving math problems is important in learning mathematics. In fact, there are still many students who do not like mathematics. This is due, among other things, to the difficulty of understanding mathematics. These difficulties have an impact on student learning outcomes. Student learning outcomes can be optimal if students believe in their abilities. Confidence that students lack can cause anxiety. Anxiety is considered as one of the inhibiting factors in solving math problems. This is what prompted the researcher to conduct a study entitled "Analysis of Mathematical Anxiety and Mathematical Self-Efficacy on the Mathematical Problem Solving Ability of Class XI IPA Students of SMAN 2 Rumbio Jaya. This study aims to determine whether or not the influence of mathematical anxiety and mathematical self-efficacy of students together on problem-solving abilities. The benefit of research for researchers is as an exercise in carrying out scientific research and for teachers is knowing things that affect problem-solving abilities. This research is a type of quantitative descriptive research using frequency distribution and correlation analysis techniques. The population in the study was students of class XI IPA SMAN 2 Rumbio Jaya. The sample selection used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments use questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires were used to obtain data about students' mathematical anxiety and mathematical self-efficacy while tests were used to obtain data about problem solving abilities. The results of the study show that mathematical anxiety and mathematical efficacy are related to problem solving abilities with a coefficient of determination of 0.078% and 21.25%

Abstract

Mathematics is an important subject for students to master at school. However, in reality, students at SMK Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli still experience obstacles in solving mathematical problems because the learning process uses conventional learning models. So students are unable to answer the questions given by the teacher. The aim of this research is to find out whether there is an influence of the Course Review Horay learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities at SMK Negeri 3 Gunungsitoli. This type of research is quasi-experimental with a quantitative paradigm. The learning model used is the Course Review Horay model. The first step is to convey the material that will be presented, the second step is to explain the material, the third step is for students to discuss the material that has been explained. Furthermore, the results of this research were obtained based on hypothesis testing, namely tcount = 4.12 and ttable = 1.67 Because tcount = 4.12 > ttable = 1.67, then reject Ho and accept H1, which means: "There is an influence of the learning model Course Review Hooray on students' mathematical problem solving abilities. So it can be concluded that the Course Review Horay learning model has an influence on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.
