Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of teacher professional competence on the reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities of grade 3 students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta in the 2023/2024 academic year. Teacher professional competence is a key factor in the learning process, especially at the Elementary School level, where basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are an important foundation for students' academic development. This study adopts a quantitative approach with an analytical survey method, where data in the form of numbers are collected and analyzed statistically. The study was conducted at MI Ta'mirul Islam Surakarta, Laweyan District, Central Java, from August to September 2024, with a population of 86 grade 3 students. From this population, a sample of 34 students or 40% was taken using the simple random sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics through the SPSS program, including calculating the mean, median, mode, and standard deviation. The normality test was carried out using the QQ-plot and Chi Square test to determine the data distribution, followed by hypothesis testing through correlation or regression analysis if the data met the normality assumption. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Teachers' professional competence is in two categories, namely moderate (1.4%) and high (98.6%). 2) The reading, writing and arithmetic abilities of grade 3 students are also in two categories, namely moderate (2.9%) and high (97.1%). 3) Teachers' professional competence has a significant effect on students' reading, writing and arithmetic abilities, as indicated by the sig. value of 0.004 <0.05 and t count 2.986> t table 2.000. The higher the teacher's professional competence, the better the students' reading, writing and arithmetic abilities. This study contributes to the understanding of the relationship between teacher professionalism and students' basic abilities, and can be a reference in improving the quality of education in madrasas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the problems associated with the development of Arabic speaking skills among the students of Pondok Pesantren Darul Muttaqin NWDI Perian, which uses a qualitative approach in the research methodology. With this approach, the research seeks to explore these issues through verbal analysis without utilizing statistical techniques. Primary and secondary data were collected through a series of careful observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings of this study highlight the complexity of the challenges in developing Arabic speaking skills in a pesantren environment. The study identified two main aspects of problematic speaking skills, namely linguistic and non-linguistic aspects. The linguistic aspect includes rigidity and obstacles in Arabic speaking fluency among students, while the non-linguistic aspect involves factors such as lack of motivation from teachers, the tendency to use Indonesian in daily communication, and learning patterns that tend to be monotonous. Through this research, it is hoped that a deeper understanding of the challenges in developing Arabic speaking skills in pesantren will be achieved. The practical implications of this study include the importance of improving learning strategies that focus on improving speaking skills, as well as the need for higher motivation for teachers to face this challenge. This research is expected to make a valuable contribution to curriculum development and more effective learning strategies in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

Students with physical disabilities often face various complex and diverse challenges in living their campus life. These challenges are not only limited to academic aspects, but also cover various aspects of daily life, including social interaction, access to campus facilities, and participation in various extracurricular activities. One of the most crucial aspects and often a major obstacle is the issue of mobility. Mobility is a very important basic need, but for students with physical disabilities, moving from one place to another on campus is often a very big challenge. Many buildings and facilities on campus are not designed with accessibility needs for people with disabilities in mind, so they have to struggle harder to be able to move around, attend classes, or simply participate in campus activities. This is where the important role of the Wheelchair with Portable Ramp (WAFEL) comes in, an innovation specifically designed to help overcome this mobility problem. WAFEL offers a very practical and effective solution, allowing students with physical disabilities to move more freely and independently in carrying out daily activities on campus. With WAFEL, students with physical disabilities are not only helped in terms of mobility but also have greater opportunities to participate fully in campus life, which can ultimately improve their quality of life and academic achievement

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the various difficulties faced by fifth-grade students at Gembala Baik II School in learning Mandarin. Mandarin is a language that requires mastery of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. However, many students encounter significant challenges, particularly in grammar, pronunciation, and the complex structure of Chinese characters. Additionally, students' lack of confidence in actively and interactively using the language contributes to their learning difficulties. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing questionnaires and interviews conducted with 38 students. The data were analyzed descriptively to identify common patterns in the difficulties experienced by the students. The findings indicate that, aside from linguistic challenges, external factors such as teaching methods and classroom environment significantly impact students' understanding. It is recommended that teachers adopt more creative and interactive teaching approaches, such as simulations and language games, to enhance student engagement and help them overcome their learning challenges in Mandarin. This study aims to contribute to the development of more effective teaching strategies for foreign language classrooms, particularly in Mandarin instruction

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students in class IV C in the subject of science and natural sciences. Based on the results of the pre-cycle, the percentage value was 35%. Of the 20 students, only 7 students completed the learning with an average class value of 67.1. This is due to the lack of variation in teacher assessment methods and media in learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes using quizizz media in the subject of science and natural sciences for class IV at SDN Melayu Muhammadiyah. The research method used was PTK (Classroom Action Research) research using the Kurt Lewin model. This study was conducted in two cycles. Data collection techniques used by researchers were observation, interviews, documentation, and tests using quizizz media. Data analysis used quantitative analysis with descriptive. The results showed that student learning outcomes after implementing quizizz media increased. In cycle I, learning completion was obtained by 65% ​​(13 students), while the incomplete value obtained by students was 35% (7 students) with an average value of 74 (sufficient). In cycle II, the learning completion rate was 90% (18 students), while the incomplete value was 10% (2 students) with an average value of 91.75 (very good). From these data, it can be said that the quizizz paper mode media can improve student learning outcomes in the subject of science class IV C SDN Melayu Muhammadiyah

Abstract

The learning paradigm that places students as subjects can provide opportunities for them to be physically and mentally active in the learning process. This research aims to analyze students’ learning experience in constructivist learning. This research is important for developing learning methods that align with the needs of contemporary education and enhancing the quality of learning in Madrasah Aliyah. This research employs a qualitative research method using a case study approach. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data underwent analysis involving data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show that constructivistic learning provides various learning experiences for students, including increased active participation, development of critical thinking skills, making flexible decisions from various perspectives, being involved in designing learning, constructing knowledge, and learning collaboratively. This research puts forward new knowledge about constructivistic learning in the context of SKI subject in Madrasah Aliyah, showing its significance in deepening practical understanding. It makes a valuable contribution to Islamic education literature by offering new perspectives relevant for curriculum development and learning practices. Future research steps could include further evaluation of the effectiveness of constructivistic implementation and its applicability in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar merupakan aspek penting dalam proses pendidikan, khususnya mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak yang menuntut pemahaman mendalam tentang nilai-nilai keagamaan. Motivasi belajar dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk strategi pengajaran guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi yang digunakan oleh guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi pada guru dan siswa di MTs. Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui strategi guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Akidah Akhlak dan mengetahui dampak dari strategi tersebut terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Upaya guru dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa melalui pendekatan intrinsik dan ekstrinsik. Pendekatan intrinsik mencakup pemberian penghargaan, pengakuan atas kemampuan, serta bimbingan. Sementara itu, pendekatan ekstrinsik melibatkan penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang variatif, penciptaan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif, dan penetapan tujuan pembelajaran yang jelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan berbagai strategi untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, termasuk menjelaskan tujuan belajar, mengapresiasi siswa yang berhasil menghafal nadzam dengan cepat, memberi punishment bagi siswa yang tidak menghafal nadzam dalam jangka waktu tujuh hari, membangkitkan semangat belajar siswa, mengingatkan jasa orang tua, guru harus bisa menjadi teladan yang baik, dan menggunakan metode yang bervariasi, serta penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan teknologi dalam dunia Pendidikan menuntut profesionalisme dan sikap adapatif para pendidik abad 21 untuk berinovasi dan terus mengembangkan berbagai perangkat, alat, dan model pembelajaraan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada upaya untuk menguji pengaruh model Quantum Teaching terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar siswa. Akurasi dan presisi statistik diandalkan dalam studi eksperimen terkontrol dengan desain – Non eqivalent control group ini, dan sebanyak 50 orang siswa SD kelas V digunakan sebagai sampel (subjek) penelitian. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik standar penelitian kuantitatif seperti: Observasi, Kuisioner dan Tes tertulis dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan, dan dianalisis dengan perangkat Stastical Program for Social Sience (SPSS) 25. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan peningkatan terhadap Motivasi juga Hasil Belajar siswa pada kelas Eksperimen, di mana model diterapkan. Sementara pengujian hipotesis menegaskan pengaruh model Quantum Teaching terhadap Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 atau < 0,05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran menggunakan media Kadolan (Kartu Domino Perkalian) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika konsep perkalian siswa kelas II UPT SDN 263 Kabupaten Pinrang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas II UPT SDN 263 Kabupaten Pinrang tahun ajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 27 siswa. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada desain penelitian tindakan kelas menurut Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang meliputi (1) tahapan perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) pengamatan dan (4) refleksi. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) tes, (2) observasi dan (3) dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Berdasarkan Hasil belajar siswa pra siklus sebesar 53,93, selanjutnya dengan menggunakan media Kadolan (Kartu Domino Perkalian) dalam melakukan konsep perkalian meningkat menjadi 57,86 pada siklus I, kemudian guru melakukan perbaikan dengan membagi kelompok sesuai hasil belajar siklus I, membagi tugas pada setiap anggota kelompok, memberikan waktu kepada siswa untuk mengerjakan perkalian pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan sebesar 72,50. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media Kadolan (Kartu Domino Perkalian) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika konsep perkalian siswa kelas II UPT SDN 263 Kabupaten Pinrang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di UPT SD Negeri 8 Pinrang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan/tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kwalitatif dan kwantitatif, subyek penelitaian ini adalah siswa kelas V UPT SD Negeri 8 Pinrang semester genap tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 yang berjumlah 28 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan observasi. Pada siklus I ketuntasan klasikal 52% pada siklus II 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
