Abstract

Students' literacy and numeracy skills are an integral part of achieving success in learning, requiring cooperation in all aspects so that literacy and numeracy skills in schools can be optimally developed. This community service activity aims to empower partner high school teachers in developing and implementing technology-assisted literacy and numeracy-based teaching modules to improve student learning outcomes. The method used was the Participatory Action Model, which emphasized the active involvement of partner teachers in all stages. The program was implemented in four stages, namely socialization of process standards, training in teaching module development, assistance with classroom implementation, and reflection and evaluation. This activity was attended by 33 teachers from two partner high schools in Blitar City. The results of this activity were that the training produced 10 teaching modules covering 10 social studies elective subjects, which were documented in the school's application and website. At the implementation stage, 60% of teachers and 60% of students achieved the Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP), and after remedial activities and micro teaching, 100% of teachers and students successfully met the KKTP. These findings indicate that systematic assistance in the development and implementation of digital-based literacy and numeracy teaching modules can improve teacher competence and student learning outcomes. This activity needs to be carried out continuously to strengthen the culture of literacy and numeracy in partner schools.

Abstract

Learning motivation and independence in financial management are two crucial aspects in developing the competencies of vocational high school students, particularly in accounting. This study aims to identify strategies to increase motivation to learn accounting and foster financial independence in students at SMKN 7 Berau. Through an interactive and contextual learning approach, students are encouraged to understand accounting concepts in an applied way and manage their personal finances responsibly. The results of the activity indicate increased active participation, deeper conceptual understanding, and students' ability to prepare budgets and record simple transactions. These findings indicate that integrating experiential learning methods and gamification can be an effective solution for increasing student motivation and independence in financial matters. This research contributes to the development of a more relevant accounting learning model that has a direct impact on students' readiness to face future economic challenges.

Abstract

This study presents the conceptual foundation and objectives of a storytelling training program that leverages Sundanese local wisdom as a pedagogical tool to enhance positive character development among early childhood learners. Employing participatory and practice-oriented methodologies, the training yielded significant improvements in educators’ understanding and instructional competencies, alongside observable benefits in children's character formation. The findings highlight the pedagogical value of integrating indigenous cultural values into early childhood education curricula as a strategic approach to cultivating morally grounded future generations. The urge for this initiative arises from the pressing need to instill positive character traits from an early age, particularly in the context of globalization, which poses a threat to the preservation of local cultural heritage. Prior research has underscored the critical role of local wisdom in character education. Within the contemporary educational discourse, there is an increasing emphasis on guarding traditional values while navigating global cultural shifts. This article particularly examines storytelling as a culturally responsive and effective pedagogical method for embedding Sundanese moral and ethical values into early childhood education, thereby fostering holistic character development.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role as a driver of the local economy through expanding job opportunities and improving people's living standards. However, operational challenges are still often encountered by MSME actors, especially in product development, marketing strategies, and the implementation of the digital financial system. This study aims to formulate and apply contextual business development strategies for Aisyah Jus MSMEs in Malang Regency. Through a qualitative approach based on case studies, the research team carried out an intensive mentoring program for three months. The intervention is focused on three main domains: (1) product innovation through the development of banner design and brand identity, (2) marketing expansion via integration with the Grabfood platform, and (3) financial modernization with the adoption of the QRIS system. The results of this assistance are expected not only to strengthen the competitiveness of Aisyah Jus MSMEs in the digital ecosystem, but also to be a strategic reference for the development of similar MSMEs in the culinary industry.

Abstract

Crown Barbershop is an SME engaged in men's hair care and styling services in Cerme, Gresik, which has only been operating since June. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of Crown Barbershop's competitiveness through marketing optimization, service quality improvement, human resource management, and financial system improvement. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through observation and direct interviews with the business owner. The results show that digital marketing based on Instagram and TikTok needs to be optimized with more creative content strategies. In addition, service quality improvement through consistent operational standards also needs to be implemented. In terms of HR, barber skill training is essential to keep up with the latest hairstyle trends. Meanwhile, in the financial aspect, a more structured recording system is needed to ensure business sustainability. This study concludes that the synergy of these four managerial aspects can increase the competitiveness of Crown Barbershop amid increasingly competitive barbershop industry competition.

Abstract

Limited access to marketing local products is one of the main challenges in efforts to increase halal food security. Sharia digital marketing technology can be used as a marketing platform to obtain market accessibility and strengthen the branding of a product. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of digitalization of sharia marketing in supporting the Nutritious Food Yard (P2B) program in Winong Village. The method used in this study is Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) which emphasizes the use of local potential as the basis for program development. The results of the service show that Winong Village has potential assets in the form of P2B physical assets and organic agricultural products, social assets of the Women Farmers Group (KWT), and digital assets that are starting to develop. The implementation of the sharia digital marketing training program has succeeded in creating greenheavenumkm.com website as a digital marketing forum for MSMEs. The evaluation of training based on the results of the pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in public understanding of sharia-based digital marketing strategies. This program has a positive impact, expands the reach of local product marketing, and is an effective strategy in strengthening the digitalization of sharia marketing in the P2B Program in Winong Village.

Abstract

This community service program aims to empower the residents of Pabean Village, particularly community members of Family Welfare and Women Empowerment Organisation (PKK) RW 15, by utilizing narrow and non-productive public facilities land through the implementation of urban farming systems through aquaponic method. The activities are designed with a participatory-based capacity-building approach that emphasizes active community involvement at every stage, from outreach, training, technology implementation, to sustainable assistance and monitoring. The results of the activities show a significant improvement in the aspects of knowledge, skills, and participatory attitudes of the community. The average pre-test score of 92.3 increased to 97.9 in the post-test for technical capabilities in urban farming methods, while financial managerial skills increased from 83.3 to 90.6. In addition, 90% of participants expressed their commitment to implementing urban farming by maintaining the aquaponic installation, and 70% felt capable of transferring the skills to other participants. This program successfully transformed public facility land into productive green spaces as sources of food (fresh vegetables and fish), providing education and skills as a part of social activities. These impact on increasing solidarity, a sense of joint-ownership, and economic independence among members of the PKK. Thus, community-based urban farming has proven effective in promoting social transformation, enhancing food security, and improving family economic welfare.

Abstract

The Shalom Baptist Church in Central Papua, specifically in Nabire, is where the Community Service Program (PKM) is being implemented. Based on observations of the youth of the Shalom Baptist Church, the community service team observed a lack of involvement in youth worship at church. This is due to several factors, including the increasing use of gadgets, which often influence today's youth, especially those of the Shalom Baptist Church, to the point of neglecting the youth worship service held at church. Therefore, the community service team took steps to address this issue by conducting guidance and a community service (KKR) to build the spirituality of the youth of the Baptist Church. The goal of this PKM is for the youth of the Baptist Church, particularly the Shalom congregation, to realize the importance of worship in their spiritual lives. In this paper, the community service team used observation, mentoring, discussion, and a survey. The results of this guidance and KKR showed that the youth of the Shalom Baptist Church experienced a self-awareness that worship is important

Abstract

The Community Service Program at the Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School (PPMH) in Doho Village, Dolopo District, Madiun Regency, is a solution to problems that occur in the community, especially among teenage students. Based on field observations and informal interviews conducted by the team with several students, they complained about their low motivation in speaking English. They feel a lack of confidence and their knowledge is still at a basic and immature level. Therefore, this activity is a program that will carry out mentoring training for the formation of an English Study Club to increase the motivation of PPMH Doho Dolopo Madiun students. Very basic things will be taught to them starting from providing basic training on small organizational management for students, increasing student motivation and abilities, fostering a collaborative and creative learning culture at the Islamic boarding school. The goal of this activity is to form an English Study Club as an English learning community. The implementation method is through direct training and mentoring to form the organizational structure of the English study club and run the organization properly. The results include improved soft skills competency, a more conducive learning environment, improved English language skills and motivation, particularly among students speaking English, and improved student managerial skills in running an English Study Club within the Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the digital competence and creativity of elementary school teachers in Jambi City through training in making teaching modules using the Canva platform. The main problem faced by teachers is the limited ability to design digital teaching materials that are attractive and in accordance with the demands of the Independent Curriculum. The training was held at SD Negeri 176 Jambi City on July 30, 2025 with interactive lectures, direct demonstrations, and independent practice. Participants consisted of elementary school teachers from several schools in Jambi City. Training materials include an introduction to Canva, the basic principles of educational graphic design, the creation of learning outcomes-based learning modules, and the publication of design results. Evaluation is carried out through pre-test and post-test, observation of participant activities, and assessment of the digital teaching module products produced. The results of the evaluation showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding and skills, with more than 90% of participants experiencing an increase in scores, and 85% stating that they would use Canva regularly in the preparation of teaching materials. In addition, participants showed high enthusiasm and produced teaching modules that were creative and contextual to the needs of students. This activity contributes to strengthening pedagogic competence, digital literacy, and learning innovation in the basic education environment, as well as being a concrete step to support the digital transformation of education in Jambi City.
