Abstract

This study delves into the transformative journey of technology-enhanced education within Islamic schools in Indonesia. As the largest Muslim-majority country globally, Indonesia stands at the intersection of tradition and innovation, presenting a unique context for the evolution of Islamic education. This research offers insights into the adoption of emerging technologies, the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR), and the preservation of cultural heritage within the Islamic educational landscape. The findings highlight the pivotal role of technology in shaping the future of education, especially in nurturing a digital generation. Online and blended learning, personalized education powered by AI, and immersive VR experiences are revolutionizing the delivery of Islamic teachings. Indonesia's rich cultural diversity adds depth to these experiences as local traditions harmoniously merge with Islamic values. This study underscores the importance of technological integration in Islamic education and emphasizes the need for teacher training, inclusivity, and interfaith dialogue. It also calls for international collaborations to elevate the quality of education. Ultimately, the research emphasizes the alignment of technology with Islamic principles, ensuring that the digital generation emerges with a strong foundation in Islamic teachings, digital literacy, and a deep appreciation for Indonesia's cultural heritage. In today's rapidly evolving world, technology has become an integral part of nearly every aspect of our lives, and its presence in education is particularly profound. This introduction provides a brief overview of the importance of technology in education, emphasizes the significance of technology in the context of Islamic schools in Indonesia, and outlines the purpose and scope of this study.

Abstract

This research aims to present the philosophy of materialism ontologically, epistemologically and axiologically when it encounters the life and axiology of Christian education management in the church, school and family as part of the Christian religious education space. The examination of civility, intrinsic self-value and inner beauty becomes less relevant when encountering something that is reached by the senses. They are located to the extent that they become morals. These morals are then examined in materialism as part of the purpose of education, especially Christian religious education. This research is a qualitative research with data search techniques through secondary sources, namely through recent journals as part of current research. The results of the study show the relationship between the philosophy of management, education, educational management and educational management insofar as it can be reached by the five senses and approves its integration with management that does not merely speak in abstract space or transcendence.

Abstract

This research explores the potential, implementation and implications of big data in education. Big data has the potential to improve the quality of education through personalised learning and advanced data analytics, enabling more optimised curricula and early intervention for student learning difficulties. However, big data implementation faces significant challenges related to data privacy and security, as well as the need to train educators in data analysis skills. Adequate technological infrastructure is also an important prerequisite. Overall, the use of big data in education promises great benefits, but it must be done with a cautious approach and consider ethical aspects, security and proper training.

Abstract

This abstract provides a concise overview of the research on the intersection between the Merdeka Curriculum and teaching challenges in the digital era in Indonesian secondary schools. Implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesian secondary schools coincides with the evolving landscape of education in the digital era. This research explores the intersection of these two factors, aiming to understand how the curriculum aligns with and addresses the teaching challenges posed by the digital era. Through qualitative research methods, including interviews with educators, document analysis, and surveys of secondary school students, this study examines the impacts, challenges, and opportunities presented by the Merdeka Curriculum in the context of the digital age. Preliminary findings suggest that the Merdeka Curriculum has positively influenced students' critical thinking and civic awareness. However, educators report challenges related to students' overreliance on digital devices, digital literacy, and the need to balance national identity with global perspectives. The research offers practical implications for curriculum development and policy recommendations to foster digital literacy, maintain a focus on critical thinking, and find a harmonious balance between national and global perspectives. This study contributes to the ongoing discourse on curriculum adaptation to meet the demands of the digital era in Indonesian secondary education.

Abstract

This study comprehensively examines curriculum alignment within Indonesian higher education, focusing on the dynamic interplay of academic disciplines and regional influences. Utilizing a mixed-method approach, we explore the alignment of curricula in selected disciplines, including technical and social sciences, across diverse Jakarta, Surabaya, and Makassar regions. Our findings reveal significant variations in alignment, with technical disciplines demonstrating higher adaptability to industry demands while the humanities face distinct challenges. Moreover, regional disparities in curriculum alignment are identified, driven by industry concentration and geographical isolation. Notably, closely aligned curricula are linked to higher income growth, reduced unemployment, and enhanced industry competitiveness. The study emphasizes the pivotal role of stakeholder engagement in shaping curricula and fostering alignment. This research contributes valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and industry leaders seeking to enhance curriculum alignment and, in turn, bolster regional and national economic development in the context of Indonesian higher education.

Abstract

This research delves into the complex relationship between higher education curricula and the rapidly evolving industry landscape within the Indonesian context. The study aims to assess the alignment of higher education curricula with the Industry's ever-changing demands. This alignment is of paramount importance as it directly influences the readiness of graduates to meet industry requirements. The research employs a multi-dimensional analysis framework, examining various factors influencing curriculum-industry alignment. These factors encompass curriculum content, industry expectations, and students' educational experiences. The study seeks to provide a holistic perspective on this alignment through an array of research methods, including curriculum analysis, surveys, and interviews with industry representatives and educators. The significance of this research is twofold. First, it contributes to the ongoing discourse on curriculum development within higher education, particularly within the Indonesian context. Second, it offers practical insights that can inform policy decisions and curriculum development in higher education institutions. Understanding the nuances of curriculum-industry alignment is crucial for preparing students effectively for the workforce and ensuring that the education system meets the evolving needs of the Industry. It is essential to acknowledge the limitations of this study, primarily related to the dynamic nature of industries and resource constraints. Nevertheless, the findings hold the potential to drive positive changes in the Indonesian higher education landscape, improving the responsiveness of curricula to the Industry and enhancing graduates' preparedness to face the challenges of a rapidly evolving job market. This research contributes to the broader conversation on curriculum alignment in higher education and offers a nuanced perspective within the Indonesian context.
