Abstract

Spatial Planning plays an important role in making space efficient and providing the facilities and infrastructure needed in an industrial area. Thus, to achieve environmental friendly conditions pollution control can be done by means of environmentally friendly waste management. Important aspects in spatial planning include, location, environmental integration, zoning and land efficiency arrangements, provision of green space, provision of facilities and infrastructure, and environmentally friendly construction. Waste management includes aspects of component supply, conservation, reuse, attention to technology, and minimization of waste in the production process. This study aims to identify spatial planning, identify waste management, and arrange spatial direction directives and environmentally friendly waste management at PT. Kima The analysis used in this research is analysis of aspects including comparative analysis, descriptive analysis, and gap analysis. The results of this study show that there are still some environmentally friendly aspects that are not considered in the spatial planning of PT. KIMA like, does not apply zoning, RTH <10% and so on. In addition, waste management is also not optimal in reducing waste production activities. Therefore, the direction in spatial planning and waste management in PT. KIMA, among others, pays attention to environmentally friendly construction, waste utilization, enforcement of regulations so that the industry carries out waste reduction, and others.

Abstract

The lack of the formal sector makes people look for other ways to survive, the informal sector is one way to reduce the possibility of social unrest in the community, for example the informal sector is a street vendor. The growth rate of street vendors in Makassar City is very rapid until November 2013, the number is around 14,000 people. The problem of the speed of street vendors in Makassar City is one of the factors causing the behavior of street vendors. This study aims to identify the characteristics of the location of trading and distribution patterns of street vendors, identify the factors influencing street vendors in choosing a location to trade and build a model of distribution of street vendor locations along the Losari Beach corridor. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis, frequency distribution, and multi-agent simulation. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of the group of street vendors in Losari Beach are linear, spreading, and grouping patterns. Factors influencing the pattern of distribution are crowds, security, access, groups, kinship, rivalry, and retribution. From the results of the simulation, it can be seen that the types of street vendors who are in groups are types of drinks, banana epe, toys, meatballs, and boiled peanuts. Furthermore, linear street vendors are only bananas, while street vendors whose distribution patterns are spread are toys, sweet potato chips, meatballs, boiled peanuts, sausages, mixtures, accessories, clocks, and clothes.

Abstract

Flooding that occurred in the Makassar City is 23 % of the total area of the city, that is 4086 ha. This floodwaters research is focused on Tamalanrea districts, which constitute the largest districts hit by floods about approximately 1684.59 ha. The spot selected region is BTN Hamzy, Antara ,and Asal Mula Housing. Flooding that occurred in this region is caused by changes in land use, poor drainage, sloping contours and form a basin area, and impermeable soil so that runoff contributes high . High rainfall can also cause floodwaters at this location. An understanding of the process and the amount of runoff and the influenced factors are very necessary as a reference in dealing with flood control. The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of surface runoff, extensive flooding, and flood inundation predictions, the effect of changes in rainfall intensity on surface runoff. Analysis procedure is conducted to calculate the rate of runoff using USSCS 1973 rational methods with variables: land cover, soil type, and slope contour, area, and intensity of rainfall. The results of these calculations are compared with the volume of land each contour and intensity of rain to predict floodwaters and the effect of rainfall intensity on surface runoff.

Abstract

The spatial structure is a manifestation of the utilization of urban space. In the development of a city, spatial structure become one of the elements that can be viewed in determining the direction, shape, and the change of these developments. Makassar City is a city with views of growth history of this period the city of Makassar starting from the kingdom of Gowa-Tallo period until now, Makassar city has far developed into one of the modern city. Therefore, we can see how the spatial structure formed in the period of kingdom until now or may be called the period of reformation. This research was conducted with a literature review as the basis for the preparation of research reports that can identify the spatial structure developments in Makassar City based on above period and knowing the factors that influence these developments. This study found out the history of the development of Makassar City, spatial sructure theory, and urban morphology. This research aims to identify the spatial structure in Makassar City started from pra-colonial period until the reformation period. The research variable component consists of studies on the urban spatial structure base on theory such as the location of central business development (CBD), space utilization and urban morphology such as land use and street pattern. Then these variables were analyzed descriptively by looking at the development of Makassar City started from the pra-colonial or kingdom period until reformation period. Analysis method used in this case concerned a history analysis and photo mapping analysis to show mapping of these variable component. Then, the factors that influence the development of spatial structure in Makassar City, the variable component refers to the variable component of the development of their own spatial structure with using the same analysis tools.

Abstract

Development of a region or city in Indonesia have led to the construction of housing and urban settlements in the sub region, the problems that often happens is thatthe populationisgrowing, with the increase of population the demand forhousing increases, so the solution of these was the construction of housing and settlements in the formof flats. In the city of Makassar, which has a big population have built some flats are located in density residential one point in the Subdistrict Mariso which is a housing project for low-income communities. But the availability of socio-economic infrastructure in the flats of Subdistrict Mariso has not fully meet the needs of residents, giving rise to a far distance, travel time is long and expensive transportation costs incurred residentsof flatstoreachthefacilities and infrastructure. Construction of flats should consider facilities and infrastructure to the need for a means of social and economic activities residents, as it also needs to consider the plan with the concept of mixed land use, which is closer to land rsidential function by means of economic and social infrastructure at a distance that allows the vehicle to achieve non-ization such as walkable, cycling, and facilitated by access to public and transit systems/TOD, to be reduce the mobility of vehicles, and also reduce transportation costs of residents.

Abstract

Green Open Space allocation policy (RTH) of 30% of the total land area of the city,, as required by UUPR No.26 of 2007 is not easy to be realized. The city government is unlikely to meet target of increasing green space area, if only relying on the government-owned land. Development of residential areas are increasingly widespread. A growing residential community and the active participation of the developers. Panakukkang Masale Village District is one of the city of Makassar is not spared from development. In Makassar PERDA 6 of 2006 on Spatial Makassar years 2005 to 2015 stated that this village will be developed into a region CBD (Central Bussiness District). This determination resulted in the growth of building in the Village is growing and instead of diminishing area of green space. Therefore increase the extent necessary alternative RTH RTH through Private Development. This study aims to develop the concept of the development of private green open spaces suitable to be applied in the Village Masale. The research was carried out by several studies literature as a basis for calculating the percentage of the basic building coefficient and the coefficient of private green space green base housing and residential real estate organizations, Characteristics of private green space and housing self-help residential real estate as well as the foundations for making the concept to be advised. Variables - variables used were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results of this research is the concept of Green Open Space development of private residential areas and residential real estate organizations in the Village Masale.

Abstract

Road to self-fringe land use inappropriate Tempe lake with the potential of a lake, the lake district looks much still used as a road to self land and serve as a shelter to retreat to the suitability inappropriate coastal areas. In addition, this region is also prone to flooding as a result of the occurrence of superficiality on Lake Tempe, as well as the provision of infrastructure in kelurahan still lacking. The purpose of this study was to identify the characteristics of land use in particular suburb of Tempe Lake Village Salomenraleng, and determine the direction of regional land use banks of Lake Tempe. Results from this study, that the retreat in villages Salomenraleng generally oriented in the riverine region. It can be seen from the distance of homes of the riverine line is only 1-2 meters. The superficiality result, some parts of the lake shore, especially in the dry season to be slowly varying functions of agricultural crops and secondary food crops. Therefore the set command ie protected areas, the initial step in the development activities carried out in the coastal lake Tempe, kelurahan Salomenrelang is to give the location of protected areas. And directed the expansion of cultivation areas land capability, among others retreat, expansion of annual crops / plantation, dry land crops and farming and fishing causeway that is a top priority.

Abstract

Flood is a natural phenomenon that is very complex and difficult to avoid and it happens in almost all regions of Indonesia include in Makassar city. Makassar morphology condition and tilt between 0 – 21 m above sea level and also the existence of three major rivers namely Pampang, Jeneberang and Tallo river. In addition, human activities that alter the function of green open space to settlements due to rapid urban growth become causes of floods. Tallo River was chosen as the venue for research due to the significant influence on the occurrence of flooding in the northern city of Makassar. The vulnerability of the flood is estimated using four parameters including rainfall, soil texture, land cover and slope were scored later and overlayed. Vulnerability level is divided into four classes, which are very vulnerable, susceptible, slightly vulnerable and sensitive. Based on the research, the area that is particularly very vulnerable to flooding in watershed of Tallo about 0.03 km2 , susceptible 56,01 km2 , slightly vulnerable 65.49 km2 , and is not prone area 2.29 km 2 . Vulnerability is then validated usig tidal data to determine areas affected by the flood tide. Causes of flood analysis by using root causes analysis with two parameters of runoff and erosion sub-watershed in order to formulate appropriate concepts for controlling floods which occurred in the city of Makassar.
