Abstract

College students deal with various events that can increase stress levels and negatively impact their lives. The study aimed to investigate the effect of solution-focused brief counseling (SFBC) on reducing college students' stress levels. The hypothesis suggested a decrease after comparing the stress level with SFBC before the intervention. The Participants consisted of 6 active postgraduate psychology students with moderate and high-stress levels. Furthermore, the study used a one-group pretest-posttest design, and the data were obtained through the Stress Scale for College Students (SSCS) and interview. The intervention used SFBC, and was conducted in four meetings. In analyzing the data, the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to determine the difference in experimental group values between before and after the intervention. The result showed that there are differences in stress levels before and after the procedure, and its drastic decrease in participants was observed after the intervention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of adversity intelligence and work performance on the professionalism of teachers .This research is quantitative correlational research. The sample was determined using a random sampling technique of 135 people. The instrument used was a questionnaire of adversity intelligence, work performance, and teacher professionalism. The data analysis tool was performed using the Structural Equation Modeling Method (SEM LISREL 8.30). The results showed that there was a significant effect of adversity intelligence on teacher professionalism .There is a significant effect of adversity intelligence on work performance. There is a significant effect on work performance on teacher professionalism. The results of this study imply that adversity intelligence and work performance are two factors that affect teacher professionalism.

Abstract

Dampak buruk tersebut diantaranya adalah kecemasan yang disebabkan perasaan terancam baik bagi penyintas (pernah terinfeksi), keluarga penyintas bahkan masyarakat yang sama sekali belum pernah terinfeksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui intensitas kecemasan yang diakibatkan oleh pandemic ini, serta bagaimana efektifitas konseling islami dengan Teknik Desensitisasi sistematis sebagai integrase teknik yang relatife baru untuk mengatasi kecemasan akibat pandemic. Penelitian dirancang dengan metode single subject pre-post test design dengan melibatkan 3 muslimah yang mengalami kecemasan berat akibat pandemic COVID-19. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala kecemasan diri yang disusun dengan skala linkert sebagai alat pretest dan posttest. Data yang diperloeh kemudia diuji dengan analisis statistic non parametric wilcoxon test.  Konseli diajak untuk melakukan relfeksi serta secara bertahap mengurangi sensitifitas pada dampak pandemic melalui narasi-narasi berbasis agama yang pada akhirnya membuat ketenangan pada diri konseli. Meskipun begitu tetap ditemukan resistensi pada diri konseli terutama disebabkan oleh dorongan pikiran rasional mereka yang selalu mempertentangkan narasi agama dengan kondisi factual di masyarakat. Hasilnya diketahui bahwa pendekatanan keislaman cukup efektif untuk mengatasi kecemasan tersebut. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) diperoleh 0,010 < 0.05 yang berarti terjadi penurunan secara signifikan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the subjective well-being of adolescents in Minangkabau ethnicity. There are 182 participants of Minang adolescencets. The method in this study used a quantitative descriptive approach. The research instrument uses a subjective well being scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics and boxplot analysis used the JAPS (Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program) application. The result showed that the subjective well being Minangkabau adolescents were in the high category, based on the subjective well being dimension, the dominant life statistic was in the high category and the affective dimension was in the medium category. Then based on gender, there is no significant difference in subjective well being of adolescent men and woman. This shows that the subjective well-being condition of Minangkabau adolescents is high as well as in each of its dimensions, both cognitive and affective. This condition needs to be optimized through various parties so that Minangkabau adolescents have good subjective well-being and avoid maladaptive behavior.

Abstract

Pasien patah tulang rawat inap sering mengalami kesulitan atau tidak mampu melakukan aktivitas harian sendiri sehingga membutuhkan caregiver untuk membantu, merawat dan menjaganya selama di rumah sakit. Tanggung jawab dan tugas yang berat pada caregiver seringkali menimbulkan kecemasan dengan gejala-gejala kelelahan fisik maupun psikologis, kurang tidur, merasa sendiri, takut, jengkel, khawatir, gelisah, bingung, jenuh, dan perasaan negatif lainnya. Kecemasan yang dialami caregiver perlu diintervensi agar tidak berakibat lebih buruk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas konseling kelompok islami dalam menurunkan kecemasan caregiver pasien patah tulang rawat inap. Hipotesis yang akan diuji adalah konseling kelompok islami mampu menurunkan kecemasan caregiver pasien patah tulang rawat inap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif eksperimen dengan one group pretest and posttest design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah enam orang caregiver pasien patah tulang rawat inap karena kacelakaan, terdiri dari empat perempuan dan dua orang laki-laki yang mengalami gejala kecemasan sedang - berat, berusia 33 – 59 tahun. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecemasan adalah Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Intervensi untuk menurunkan kecemasan adalah konseling kelompok islami.  Analisis data yang digunakan adalah  wilcoxon rank test.  Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai z : -2.207; p = 0.027 (p< 0.05),  sehingga intervensi konseling kelompok islami efektif untuk menurunkan tingkat kecemasan caregiver pasien patah tulang rawat inap. Dengan demikian intervensi ini dapat direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu cara untuk menurunkan kecemasan caregiver pasien rawat inap. Agar efek intervensi dapat bertahan lama maka caregiver perlu melakukan latihan rutin secara mandiri dan menjadikan sebagai kebiasaan yang positif untuk memperkuat ketahanan psikologis agar tidak mudah mengalami kecemasan.

Abstract

The issue of religious moderation in Islamic counseling is part of the ethical and moral values of the counselor. Religious moderation education should be able to improve multicultural competence, especially in prospective Islamic counselors. This study aims to analyze whether religious moderation contributes to the development of multicultural counseling competence. The study used ex-post facto to examine the relationship between religious moderation and the multicultural counseling competence. The research was conducted through a survey using a google form to 30 students of Islamic Guidance and Counseling at UIN Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten and 30 students of guidance and counseling at the University of PGRI Palembang. The results showed that religious moderation contributes to the development of multicultural counseling competencies. Religious moderation supports the development of multicultural insight regarding differences in values and a person's perspective in religion.

Abstract

The research aims to describe the social development and behavior of autistic children and find ways to develop the social skills and behavior of autistic children during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research method is qualitative research. The data ware collected using interviews, documentation studies, and observations on parents and special assistant teachers for children with autism spectrum disorders of primary and secondary school age. Check the validity of the data used source triangulation. The results showed that autistic children during this pandemic experienced a decline in behavioral, social, and communication aspects. The method that is considered effective in overcoming this is by using daily activities for the development of social skills and behavior. The components of these activities are 1). Creating communication using verbal and visual language. 2). Develop new routines by forming new habits. 3). Monitor the mental development and physical health of children. 4). Establish regular collaboration and communication with schools. 5). Utilize existing human resources at home. 6). Literacy practice in children. 7). Always involve children in daily activities at home. 8). Encouraging children's social relations to connect with friends and teachers by utilizing technology media.

Abstract

Having a harmonious, happy and loving family is everyone’s dream. But few people can make it happen. There are still family members who feel uncomfortable when they are at home. They feel insecure, pressured, unappreciated, and neglected. Domestic violence can affect every family member, wife, husband, children, or other family members. However, the most frequent victims of domestic violence, with the highest number of cases each year, are women. Women who are victims experience various negative affects. Besides impacting the physical, it also impacts the psyche, one of which is anxiety. This paper aims to analyze various research results related to anxiety in women victims of domestic violence. This paper gives a theoretical overview of the research on anxiety in domestic violence victims. Searches in databases relevant to both clinical and consumer behavior literature, such as Scopus, EBSCO, Web of Science – Social Citations Index, Medline, PsycINFO, and Pubmed, were used to conduct a selective review of the literature. The paper examines current thinking on troublesome anxiety disorders in women who have been victims of domestic violence. The literature evaluation allows for the expansion of existing knowledge about domestic violence.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the difficulties of prospective counselors in understanding the culture of origin of their counselee in cross-cultural counseling practices. The research aims to increase the cultural awareness of prospective counselors towards the counselee they help. This type of research is action research carried out through three cycles, namely, 1) prospective counselors understand the counselee’s culture from expert who have a different cultural background from the counselee, 2) prospective counselors understand the counselee’s culture from peers who have a different background from the counselee, and 3) prospective counselors understand the culture of individual who were born and raised in the counselee’s culture. The population in the research was 110 students from the BK UIN Bukittinggi department studying cross-cultural counseling. Samples were drawn using the accidental techniques as many as 40 people. The research data were processed using difference test (t-test). The results of the research reveal that prospective counselors understand the counselee culture more easily than individuals who were born and raise in the counselee culture. The result of this research recommend using sources from the culture origin to increase prospective counselors awareness of the counselee’s culture in cross-cultural counseling.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe student learning behavior and student self-regulated learning while studying from home, (2) analyze the relationship between self-regulated learning and student learning behavior while studying from home. This research is a descriptive correlational survey research. The research subjects were 2,867 junior high school students in Indonesia, Grades 7, 8 and 9 were selected by cluster random sampling. Data was collected online using google form. The research instrument uses a learning behavior scale and a self-regulated learning scale developed by the researcher and the instrument validation process has been carried out. Data were analyzed descriptively and correlationally using the JASP (Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program) program. Based on the results of the study (1) 1353 (47%) students have good learning behavior while studying from home and 1387 (48%) students have moderate levels of self-regulated learning while studying from home, (2) There is a correlation between learning behavior and self regulated learning.
