Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Risk-Based Auditing (RBA) on organizational financial performance by exploring its integration into auditing practices and its influence on decision-making processes. Using a qualitative research approach, the study employs literature review and library research to synthesize existing findings from academic journals, books, and institutional reports on the subject. Risk-based auditing, a strategic approach to auditing that prioritizes areas of highest risk, has gained prominence in modern auditing practices due to its potential to enhance the accuracy and reliability of financial statements. The review reveals that organizations implementing RBA experience improved financial performance through better risk identification, proactive risk management, and enhanced resource allocation. Furthermore, RBA contributes to better alignment between organizational objectives and financial outcomes, supporting long-term sustainability. However, the study also identifies challenges such as insufficient implementation in some sectors, lack of skilled professionals, and limited awareness of the full benefits of RBA. This paper provides valuable insights into the role of RBA in improving financial outcomes, while highlighting the need for further empirical research to validate its direct impact on organizational performance across different industries. The findings underscore the importance of integrating risk management strategies into auditing frameworks for sustained financial health.

Abstract

In the healthcare industry, employee engagement plays an important role in improving service quality and reducing the turnover rate of healthcare workers. Nurses who have a high level of attachment to the organization tend to be more productive, committed, and provide better services. However, various organizational factors such as interpersonal relationships, management support, transformational leadership, career development, and work environment can affect employee engagement levels. In addition, burnout is often a challenge in the industry and has the potential to moderate the relationship between organizational factors and employee engagement. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational factors on the attachment of nurse employees in Group Hospital X with work fatigue as a moderation variable. This study uses a quantitative method with an explanatory approach. Data was collected through a questionnaire given to 222 nurses and analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that only the work environment had a significant influence on employee engagement, while interpersonal relationships, management support, transformational leadership, and career development did not show a significant impact. In addition, work burnout has not been shown to moderate the relationship between organizational factors and employee engagement. Interviews with nurses revealed that although work burnout was a major challenge, intrinsic factors such as love of the profession were still the main reason they persisted. These findings provide insight for hospital management in designing more effective policies to improve the welfare of health workers.

Abstract

Advances in digital technology have significantly changed the dynamics of the workplace, improving efficiency while creating new challenges for workers' well-being. One of the main challenges is digital stress, which is psychological pressure that arises due to excessive use of technology in the work environment. This stress can be caused by information overload, the expectation to always be online, and the imbalance between work and personal life. This research aims to explore how innovative work environment design can help reduce digital stress in workers. The method used in this study is a literature study by analyzing various previous studies relevant to this topic. Data sources come from academic journals, books, and research reports that discuss digital stress, worker welfare, and work environment design. The results of the study show that ergonomic work environment design, the implementation of work flexibility policies, reduction of excess technology exposure, and the integration of more humane technology can significantly reduce psychological pressure due to the use of digital technology. In addition, a work environment that supports work-life balance, such as the provision of relaxation areas, flexible workspaces, and restrictions on digital communication after hours, has also proven effective in improving workers' welfare. This research emphasizes that designing a work environment that is more adaptive to the psychological and physical needs of workers can be an effective solution in overcoming digital stress in the digital era. Therefore, organizations and companies are advised to adopt more worker-oriented workplace policies and designs.

Abstract

The United States' threat to Saudi Arabia following the 2022 decision by OPEC+ to cut crude oil production by two million barrels per day reveals the complex interplay between domestic political pressures and international energy geopolitics. This study aims to analyze the underlying internal and external factors influencing the U.S. response, using the Internal-External Setting theory developed by Snyder, Bruck, and Sapin. Employing a qualitative policy analysis approach, the research utilizes data from peer-reviewed journals, official government reports, and credible media coverage to examine U.S. foreign policy behavior. The findings show that internal factors—such as public opinion, inflationary pressures, the upcoming midterm elections, and media framing—played a critical role in shaping Washington's confrontational stance. Simultaneously, external dynamics, including Saudi Arabia’s leadership within OPEC+, post-pandemic energy market volatility, and shifting global power relations, further escalated diplomatic tensions. The study reveals how domestic political needs intersect with international strategic interests in driving foreign policy decisions. By applying the Internal-External Setting theory, this research highlights the interdependence of domestic and global considerations in modern energy diplomacy. The implications are significant for understanding U.S. geopolitical behavior in an era of energy insecurity and shifting alliances. This study contributes to the broader discourse on global energy governance, international economic stability, and the evolving nature of U.S.-Middle East relations.

Abstract

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health issues that is commonly experienced by children and adolescents as a result of traumatic events such as natural disasters, social conflicts, and violence. The high prevalence of PTSD among children and adolescents requires further intervention due to the risk of long-term psychological impacts. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Sand Tray Therapy in reducing PTSD symptoms and improving well-being in children and adolescents. The study uses an A-B-A-B experimental design, which is a variation of the single subject design (SSD), involving five subjects who were selected through a screening process and considered as representative of a population with PTSD and low psychological well-being. The research instruments used are the Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist (PCL-5) and Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales (PWB). Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test to compare PTSD and well-being scores between phases, and Cohen's d was used to measure the effect size of changes between phases. The results of this study indicate that sand tray therapy has a clinically significant positive effect in reducing PTSD symptoms and improving psychological well-being. Thus, this method can be considered an alternative psychological intervention for children and adolescents who suffer from PTSD and require an improvement in psychological well-being.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digital transformation in the world of work, requiring individuals to have qualified digital competencies and high innovative capacity. This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-efficacy and digital competence on innovative behavior, with absorptive capacity as a mediating variable. This study also responds to the literature gap regarding the mediating role of absorptive capacity in the post-pandemic context. A quantitative approach was used with a survey method of 250 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) technique. The results showed that self-efficacy and digital competence have a positive and significant effect on innovative behavior. Absorptive capacity was shown to mediate the relationship between self-efficacy and innovative behavior, but did not mediate the relationship between digital competence and innovative behavior. These findings provide important practical implications for organizations in strengthening a post-pandemic culture of innovation. This research highlights the importance of building self-efficacy, increasing digital competence and strengthening absorptive capacity to foster innovative adaptation amid digital disruption.
