Abstract

Human resources are important in achieving the company's goals, especially with labor-intensive characteristics such as industrial manufacturing. PT.  DSI is one of Indonesia's automotive component manufacturing companies that has problems related to human resource productivity and rejected product ratios. This study examined the influence of job satisfaction and work discipline on the performance of factory employees at PT. DSI. This study uses a quantitative approach.  The population in this study were all PT DSI factory employees, totaling 185 people. Based on the Slovin formula with a sampling error of 5%, the sample size was 127 respondents. The sampling method is purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used Smart PLS 3.2.9 as a tool. The results show that job satisfaction has a positive significant effect on the performance of factory employees either directly or mediated by work discipline, work discipline has a positive significant effect on the performance of factory employees, and job satisfaction has a significant positive effect on work discipline. The strategic implication of this research is the need for management to increase supervision of employee work discipline both in fulfilling attendance and standard operating procedures, as well as the need to pay attention to employee satisfaction.

Abstract

This study explores the role of local wisdom in fostering peace and social harmony within village communities, emphasizing cultural and traditional perspectives. Local wisdom, embedded in various aspects of community life such as rituals, customs, and norms, serves as a powerful tool in conflict resolution and social cohesion. By utilizing a qualitative approach through literature review, this paper examines how indigenous knowledge and values promote peaceful interactions, respect, and collective responsibility. The findings reveal that local wisdom, manifested in practices like adat (traditional law), communal decision-making processes, and cultural ceremonies, plays a vital role in maintaining balance and preventing disputes in rural areas. Furthermore, local wisdom fosters a strong sense of identity and belonging, encouraging collaboration and mutual understanding among community members. These cultural traditions and practices provide a sustainable framework for managing differences and promoting unity in diversity. The study highlights the importance of preserving and revitalizing local wisdom as an essential element in achieving long-term peace and social harmony, particularly in the face of modernization and external influences. By safeguarding these traditions, village communities can continue to thrive in an environment of respect, trust, and solidarity.

Abstract

Traditional village ecotourism development based on animal welfare requires a comprehensive and collaborative approach to ensure sustainability. This study examines the role of Hexahelix collaboration, integrating government, businesses, academia, media, communities, and financial institutions, in promoting sustainable tourism within the framework of Tri Hita Karana philosophy. The research aims to explore how this collaborative model enhances economic benefits, environmental conservation, and cultural preservation while ensuring ethical treatment of animals. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques. Qualitative data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, while quantitative data were gathered through surveys and statistical analysis. Thematic analysis is used to assess stakeholder interactions, policy impacts, and community engagement. Data validation is ensured through triangulation methods to enhance the reliability of findings. The results indicate that active community participation, supported by governmental policies and private sector engagement through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), significantly contributes to the success of animal-friendly tourism. Ritual practices like Tumpek Kandang reinforce ethical animal treatment, while media involvement enhances public awareness of sustainable tourism practices. However, challenges such as coordination among stakeholders and resource limitations remain barriers to full implementation. Despite its effectiveness, the Hexahelix model requires continuous refinement to address long-term ecological and economic resilience issues. This study suggests that future research should focus on evaluating long-term impacts and refining policies to optimize the balance between tourism development and conservation efforts. The findings provide practical insights for policymakers, businesses, and communities in adopting sustainable tourism models based on local wisdom and ethical treatment of animals
