Abstract

English Fun Day (EFD) activity is part of the Volunteer Teaching Project program implemented by Tadris English students of Fatmawati Sukarno State Islamic University Bengkulu. This activity aims to improve the basic English skills of grade V and VI students at SDN 44 Bengkulu Tengah through an interactive, fun, and educational game-based learning approach. Referring to the Input Hypothesis theory by Krashen and Zone of Proximal Development by Vygotsky, as well as case studies from Thailand, the program integrates learning activities such as vocabulary introduction, speaking practice, listening, writing, and educational competitions in a fun atmosphere. The results showed an increase in students' active participation, high enthusiasm for learning, and the effectiveness of interactive methods in the teaching process. In addition to having a positive impact on students, this activity is also a medium for applying language teaching theory for students. Obstacles such as schedule adjustments and location access can be overcome with good coordination. This activity is recommended to be adopted more widely as a form of collaboration between higher education institutions and elementary schools in strengthening foreign language literacy from an early age.

Abstract

The National Competition Infographic activity themed "The Future English Language Teaching Trends and Innovation" aimed to increase public understanding and awareness, particularly academics, students, and education practitioners, of trends and innovations in English language teaching. A qualitative description method was used in this study to explain every aspect of the competition, from registration, assignment submission, assessment by two expert judges, and announcement of winners online through Zoom meetings with the number of participants of this competition is 50 participants. Data were collected through documentation of activities and committee evaluations. Results showed that taking the competition online made participation from different regions easier; however, time constraints and network issues were technical obstacles. The development of 21st century skills, such as critical thinking and digital literacy, can be encouraged by this capability. It can also encourage participants' creativity in visually displaying innovative ideas. It is hoped that this activity will be a source of inspiration to develop new innovations for teaching English in a more efficient way and in accordance with technological advances.

Abstract

Multicultural education in Indonesia emerged from a long journey: first, from the colonial era; second, from the melting pot education of the New Order era; and third, from multicultural education with a democratic spirit during the reform era. Multiculturalism will have implications for the world of education, especially the multicultural paradigm is also contained in Article 4 of Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. In this article, it is explained that education is implemented democratically, non-discriminatory by upholding human rights, religious values, cultural values, and national diversity. So, multicultural education here is an idea, namely a philosophy that emphasizes the legitimacy, vitality, and importance of diversity of social class, ethnicity and race, gender, children with special needs, religion, language, and age in shaping the lives of individuals, groups, and the nation.

Abstract

Advances in information and communication technology, particularly in the field of social media, have brought about major changes in Islamic da'wah methods and religious education processes. This research aims to analyze the role of social media in Islamic education through the perspective of da'wah communication, as well as evaluate the effectiveness and strategy of its utilization in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method of various scientific references that discuss digital da'wah, communication theory, and the use of social media. The findings show that platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook are now effective media for delivering Islamic messages in an interesting, interactive, and contextual manner, especially to the younger generation. Social media also opens up opportunities for two-way interaction between preachers and the community, and provides a flexible and sustainable learning space. The transition of da'wah to the digital world requires a communication strategy that is creative, adaptive, and in accordance with Islamic values, both in terms of content and delivery approach. Therefore, social media is not only a tool for spreading da'wah, but also plays an important role as a means of Islamic education in shaping character and strengthening religious understanding among modern society.

Abstract

The problem in this research is that children's kinesthetic intelligence is still not trained which is indicated by several symptoms, such as: students still look shy in making movements when asked to come forward and be seen by their friends, lack of developing physical movements through the body, and lack of agility and body balance as a characteristic of a child. This study aims to determine the influence of Crazy Ball activities on the development of kinesthetic intelligence in students at Rembulan Early Childhood Education, Air Kering Village, Padang Guci Hilir District, Bengkulu Province. This study used a quasi-experimental method on all Rembulan PAUD students with a sample of 16 students. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the average kinesthetic intelligence development between the experimental group (A1) and the control group (A2), for the value of T_count=14,602> and T〗_table=2.145, with a probability value (sig. )=0.000 < 0.05. This means that H_0 was rejected, so the results show that there was a significant difference in the average development of kinesthetic intelligence in early childhood between the experimental group and the control group after the treatment. It can be concluded that there was a significant effect of crazy ball activities on kinesthetic development in early childhood at PAUD Rembulan Desa Air Kering Kecamatn Padang Guci Hilir.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the comparison of education systems in Indonesia and Thailand. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of Library Research research, namely data taken from journals, books, documents and online literature. From the results of this research, it was found that the education structure in Thailand generally consists of 3 years of Anuban or kindergarten level education, 6 years of Prathom level education (primary school), 6 years of Mattayom level education (middle and high school), and vocational and higher education levels. The Thai education system uses the 2008 Core Basic Education Curriculum where the learning system is centered on Student Center students). Teacher qualifications accepted at schools in Thailand must have a minimum of 4 years of undergraduate education and a maximum of doctoral education. And promotions/honors in Thailand are obtained based on qualifications, education and career level.

Abstract

The quality of education in Finland is one thing that Indonesia can use as an example to improve the quality of education in this country. Many things influence the creation of good quality education. The aim of this research is to explore education in Finland as a lesson learned in education in Indonesia. The research method used is literature review. This study examines various books, references and similar previous research results which are useful for obtaining and collecting all information relevant to the problem being studied. The research results showed that Finland's educational journey has been very long and all the sectors studied have developed very well. The history of education, educational philosophy, educational system, curriculum, teacher education, educational management, and the quality of Finnish education are at the highest level. This is used as a lesson learned for the development of education in Indonesia to overcome various weaknesses in various sectors

Abstract

This study aims to further look at how the education system and policies in Malaysia are compared later in Indonesia. This study uses a literature review where the literature taken is in accordance with the subject of discussion and analyzed in depth so that conclusions and findings can be drawn in the research. The result of this study is that Malaysia has four levels of education. The level of education includes primary education for 6 years, then comprehensive secondary school for 3 years, and upper secondary school for 3 years, then academic or technical education for 2 years. Then comprehensive post-secondary school for 2 years if they pass in the exam, if they want to continue their education they must take post-secondary education for 2 years.

Abstract

In the academic world of higher education, a thesis proposal is a crucial first step in the research process. However, many students and researchers face challenges in developing thesis proposals that are effective and meet academic standards. Therefore, training or mentoring is needed that provides practical and interactive guidance for students and researchers to master the critical steps in developing a thesis proposal. This activity uses a training method that covers various aspects of making a thesis proposal in one day. Starting with a discussion forum session as a learning space, researchers discussed critical steps in developing a thesis proposal. After that, participants are immediately involved in a series of practical activities designed to assist them in designing their own thesis proposals. With this approach, researchers can ensure that participants gain a solid understanding of the process of creating a thesis proposal in one day of intensive training. As a result, this workshop succeeded in encouraging participants' creativity and innovation in developing their ideas, as well as providing the opportunity to receive constructive feedback.

Abstract

Penguasaan Bahasa Inggris kini semakin vital dalam era globalisasi, didukung oleh peran teknologi yang memperluas akses sumber daya, meningkatkan interaktivitas, dan mendorong kolaborasi global. Artikel ilmiah ini merupakan laporan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan seminar pada mahasiswa yang bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi secara diskusi ilmiah terkait dampak teknologi dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, termasuk kecerdasan buatan dan aplikasi digital. Melalui observasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, rekomendasi diberikan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini ditujukan untuk mahasiswa dan peneliti pendidikan dibidang bahasa, dengan harapan mereka dapat mengetahui secara lebih jauh tentang pemanfaatan teknologi secara optimal dalam pengembangan keterampilan bahasa Inggris.
