Abstract

The study entitled the ethos of devotion in the form of a balance between hablum min-Allah and hablum min-annas is based on the fact that literature works reflect a transcendent relation between God and His mankind. Qualitative research method is used in this study since the result obtained is in the form of verbal data, which describes the elements of transcendence in literature works. The data collected is ideographic data or verbal data containing the elements of transcendence. Novel written by Sibel Eraslan entitled Aisyah: The Woman in The Prophet’s Dream are used as the sources of data. The researcher acts as the key instrument of this study. The ethos of devotion in the form of a balance between hablum min-Allah and hablum min-annas, includes two subfocus namely the interpersonal dimension of moral behavior and the transpersonal dimension of moral behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of research and development is to produce an electronic module based on local wisdom and life skills. The product is developed according to the stages of the ADDIE model. The feasibility of the e-module is known from the results of expert validation, and an assessment of the attractiveness, practicality, and effectiveness of the product from users. The average validation results of material experts reached 89.5%, design experts 87%. Then the field trial by the teacher obtained an average of 93% attractiveness, 93% practicality, and by students it reached 91% attractiveness percentage, 90% practicality and 96% class completeness effectiveness. The results of research and product development can be categorized as suitable for use in learning.

Abstract

This classroom action research focused on determining how the Padlet application could improve the eleventh-grade students' ability to write narrative text during the Ilmu Budaya dan Bahasa 2020/2021 academic year at MAN 1 Pasuruan. This application was chosen by the researcher to stimulate the students' interest and motivation in learning English. The researcher discovered that 36 (90%) of the students could achieve a passing grade. It proved improvements from the minimum standard of mastery criteria to the final test. Based on the findings of this research, it is possible to conclude that using the Padlet application can improve the ability of eleventh grade students to write narrative text.

Abstract

An interactive multimedia-based digital module developed to improve students' mastery of concepts. This research uses research and development (R&D) methods with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model consists of 5 stages, is analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. Inferential statistical data analysis used paired sample t-test. The results of data analysis show that the value of tcount = -32.879 > ttable = 2.080, then there is an influence of digital modules on concept mastery. The feasibility of digital modules is 93.5% and practicality is 88.5%. The results showed that development of digital modules is feasible and practical to be applied in the learning process and had an effect on increasing students' mastery of concepts.

Abstract

This research aimed to produce communication strategy model assisted by link book that is effective, valid, and practical for students to use. The date analysis technique used in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis technique and quantitative descriptive analysis. The samples studied were class students iv, v, vi then teachers and parents’ students. Data collection using questionnaire technique. The results the study concluded that the development communication strategy model assisted by connecting book to control student learning activities in online learning received positive response from students with percentage 92.5 then the response parents with percentage 95% and teacher response 95,9%.

Abstract

Identifying the types of errors in class X AKL 1 SMKN 1 Pasuruan based on Newman in solving absolute value problems in terms of learning styles is the goal of this study. Research subjects were determined based on the results of questionnaires and problem-solving tests. One subject from each learning style was chosen if he answered the most and made a lot of mistakes in problem solving. Student answers errors were identified based on the Newman method. The results showed that the types of errors in the visual learning style subject were process skill errors and encoding errors. The auditory subjects performed the types of transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors. Meanwhile, the kinesthetic subject made an encoding error.

Abstract

Argumentation is closely related to a person's mindset to achieve communication goals. The focus of this research is the argumentation component, the argumentation model, and the argumentation writing style. The data of this research are in the form of words, sentences, and paragraphs from the students' speech texts of undergraduate students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Universitas Negeri Malang. Undergraduate students who are used as data sources are students for the 2019/2020 academic year. The results showed that the arguments in the speech texts of Indonesian Language and Literature Education students at the Universitas Negeri Malang contained various components, models, and styles of argumentative writing. These three things have been constructed by students in the speech text. These components, models, and writing styles have a concrete form and their respective functions in strengthening the arguments put forward in the speech texts.

Abstract

The purpose of this research and development is to produce STEM-based science teaching materials in creating PAIKEM to improve students' creative thinking skills in Theme 2 Sub-theme 1 Energy Sources. The method used in developing the product uses the ADDIE model. The results of product development research get a score of 86.38% in the very valid/feasible category to use. The results of product attractiveness get a score percentage of 98.21%. The results of the practicality of the product get a score percentage of 98.50%. Based on the results, the average pretest score got a score of 33.83 which increased to 76.83 on the average posttest score with a completeness percentage of 5.55% to 91.66%. the results of research products developed in learning are feasible to use.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to describe the recursive and explicit strategies of algebraic generalization used by 11st grade students based on their cognitive styles and used descriptive qualitative methodology. The subject consisted of 3 field dependent and 3 field independent students. Given 2 tasks to determine the strategies used by students. The problem given are related to near and far generalization. The recursive strategy requires the subject to know the relationship of each term to determine the pattern, whereas the explicit strategy allows the subject to use various rules accordingly. The results show that FD and FI subject use recursive strategy for near generalization problem. But for far generalization problem, FD use recursive and FI use explisit strategy. The findings of this study is there was one subjecf of FI that use recursive strategy for far generalization problem.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of Reading to Learn Pedagogy on the writing skill of Indonesian students and their perceptions of the usefulness of the pedagogy. A quasi-experimental study involved 32 seventh graders and 54 ninth graders and two teachers of Junior High School in Indonesia. They were assigned into two groups: experimental and control. The treatment was conducted at eight sessions, including the pre-test and post-test. The scores of pre-test and post-test in writing were used as a base of quantitative data analysis, whereas the student questionnaire was used to obtain data on their perceptions of the usefulness of the Reading to Learn Pedagogy. The result reveals that the Reading to Learn Pedagogy effectively enhances the students' writing skills. Additionally, the students perceived each stage of the Reading to Learn valuable pedagogy in promoting their writing skill and accepted the pedagogy to be implemented to become a better writer of other types of text required by the curriculum.
