Abstract

Abstract Background: Fungus prevalence in Indonesia is still relatively high. This happens because Indonesia has high temperatures and humidity. Beluntas (Pluchea indica) is a shrub native to Indonesia and widely distributed in most parts of the country. Pluchea indica is usually used by the community as a medicine for skin diseases. The bioactive content of P. indica leaves has potential as an antifungal agent. One of the fungi that is pathogenic to humans is Microsporum canis.Method: N-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol served as the solvents for the graded maceration method of extraction over two 24-hour periods. Furthermore, using Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC) and characterization with UV-Vis and FT-IR. Antifungal activity was performed by disc diffusion method.Results: Pluchea indica leaves have antifungal activity in the ethanol extract of 20.08 mm (very strong), the F5 fraction of 22.24 mm (very strong), and the F5 isolate of 6.3 mm (weak) at a concentration of 4%. Based on the UV-Vis and FT-IR data, the isolate had a wavelength of 267 nm with a functional group of -OH, C=C aromatic, C-H, and C-O.Conclusion: Isolate from the ethanol extract of Pluchea indica leaves has potential as an antifungal originating from the flavonoid group.Keywords: Pluchea indica, antifungal, Microsporum canis, isolation compound Intisari Latar belakang: Prevalensi infeksi jamur di Indonesia masih terbilang tinggi. Hal ini terjadi karena Indonesia memiliki suhu dan kelembaban yang tinggi. Beluntas (Pluchea indica) merupakan tumbuhan semak asli Indonesia, tersebar luas hampir di sebagian besar wilayah Indonesia. Tumbuhan P. indica biasanya dimanfaatkan masyarakat sebagai obat penyakit kulit. Kandungan bioaktif yang dimiliki daun P. indica dapat berpotensi sebagai antijamur. Salah satu jamur yang bersifat patogen pada manusia adalah Microsporum canis.Tujuan: Mengetahui aktivitas antijamur dari ekstrak etanol daun P. indica dan mengkarakterisasi senyawa hasil isolasinya.Metode: Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi bertingkat selama 2 x 24 jam menggunakan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat dan etanol. Selanjutnya identifikasi menggunakan Kromatografi Vakum Cair (KVC) dan karakterisasi dengan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan FT-IR. Pengujian aktivitas antijmur dilakukan dengan metode difusi cakram.Hasil: Daun P. indica memiliki aktivitas sebagai antijamur pada ekstrak etanol sebesar 20,08 mm (sangat kuat), fraksi F5 22,24 mm (sangat kuat) dan isolat F5 6,30 mm (lemah) pada konsentrasi 4%. Berdasarkan data spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan FT-IR diperoleh isolat memiliki panjang gelombang sebesar 267 nm dengan gugus fungsi -OH, C=C cincin aromatik, C-H dan C-O.Kesimpulan: Isolat dari ekstrak etanol daun Pluchea indica memiliki potensi sebagai antijamur yang berasal dari golongan flavonoid.Kata kunci: Pluchea indica, antijamur, Microsporum canis, isolasi senyawa

Abstract

Abstract Background: Within 2 years of the COVID-19 pandemic, stopping the spread of COVID-19 in the community can be done with adequate knowledge about immune system improvement behaviors and the use of health supplements to improve the body's immune system.Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and community behavior in improving the immune system in Barong Tongkok Village in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic.Method: This study is a quantitative type with a cross-sectional method conducted in Barong Tongkok Village with a total sample of 356 respondents from 4,787 total populations. Analysis of results is carried out with univariate tests to concentrate and display data, while bivariate tests are statistical analyses of chi-square tests to see the relationship between two variables.Results: A univariate analysis revealed that the level of knowledge in the high category was 55.6% and the behavior of improving the immune system in the good category was 50.8%. The results of the bivariate test analysis with the chi-square test revealed a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of improving the immune system (p = 0.000).Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and the behavior of improving the immune system in Barong Tongkok Village.Keywords: Level of knowledge, behavior, immune system, COVID-19 pandemic Intisari Latar belakang: Dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun lamanya pandemi COVID-19 telah berlangsung, penghentian penyebaran COVID-19 di masyarakat bisa dilakukan dengan pengetahuan yang memadai tentang perilaku peningkatan sistem imun dan penggunaan suplemen kesehatan untuk memperbaiki sistem imun tubuh.Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan, dengan perilaku masyarakat dalam peningkatan sistem imun di Kelurahan Barong Tongkok di era pandemi COVID-19. Metode: Penelitian ini termasuk jenis kuantitatif dengan metode cross-sectional dilakukan di Kelurahan Barong Tongkok dengan jumlah sampel 356 responden dari 4.787 populasi masyarakat, analisis hasil dilakukan dengan uji univariat untuk mempersentasekan dan menampilkan data, sedangkan uji bivariat yaitu analisis statistika uji chi-square untuk melihat hubungan antara dua variabel.Hasil: Analisis univariat diperoleh bahwa tingkat pengetahuan dengan kategori tinggi sebesar 55,6%, dan perilaku peningkatan sistem imun dengan kategori baik sebesar 50,8%. Hasil analisis uji bivariat dengan uji chi-square diperoleh hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan perilaku peningkatan sistem imun (p=0,000).Kesimpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan perilaku peningkatan sistem imun di Kelurahan Barong Tongkok.Kata kunci: Tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku, sistem imun, pandemi COVID-19

Abstract

AbstractBackground: Faloak is known to contain flavonoids, terpenoids, phenols, and tannins, all of which have antioxidant activity. The preparation of faloak in the dosage form of syrup has been completed, but the suboptimal extraction of the active ingredient reduces the antioxidant activity of the syrup. In this study, the syrup was created by macerating extracts of faloak and red ginger, which contain active substances. The quality of the syrup is further evaluated for its antioxidant activity.Objective: To determine the characteristics of the extract, the quality of the syrup, and the antioxidant activity of the syrup.Method: During extraction using the maceration technique, both specific and non-specific characteristics of the extract are evaluated. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrilhydrazyl (DPPH) method was used to measure antioxidant activity.Results: The results of testing particular properties revealed that faloak and red ginger extracts contained flavonoids, triterpenoids, phenols, and tannins. The faloak and red ginger extracts had a water content of 5.926 ± 0.116 and 4.270 ± 0.121, respectively, and a total ash content of 2.430 ± 0.160 and 3.570 ± 0.140, according to non-specific analyses of the extract. The IC50 values for the antioxidant activity of formula 1 and formula 2 syrups were 114.002 ± 0.174 and 107.888 ± 0.115 ppm, respectively. Conclusion: The addition of red ginger to Faloak syrup increases its antioxidant activity compared to that of the syrup without the addition of red ginger, although both syrups have moderate antioxidant activity.Keywords: Faloak, syrup, antioxidant, DPPH Intisari Latar belakang: Faloak diketahui memiliki kandungan flavonoid, terpenoid, fenol dan tanin yang diketahui memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Penyiapan faloak dalam bentuk sediaan sirup telah dilakukan namun proses penarikan zat aktif yang kurang optimal menurunkan aktivitas antioksidan sirup. Pada penelitian ini sirup diformulasikan dari ekstrak faloak dan jahe merah yang merupakan hasil penarikan zat aktif secara maserasi. Sirup selanjutnya dilakukan uji kualitatif dan aktivitas antioksidannya. Tujuan: Mengetahui karakteristik ekstrak, kualitas sirup dan aktivitas antioksidannya.Metode: Ekstraksi menggunakan metode maserasi, dilanjutkan dengan karakterisasi ekstrak yang dinilai dari aspek spesifik dan non spesifik. Aktivitas antioksidan diukur menggunakan metode 2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil (DPPH). Hasil: Hasil pengujian karakteristik spesifik menunjukkan ekstrak faloak dan jahe merah mengandung flavonoid, triterpenoid, fenol dan tanin. Uji non spesifik ekstrak menunjukkan kadar air ekstrak faloak dan jahe merah berturut-turut sebesar 5,926 ± 0,116 dan 4,270 ± 0,121 % b/b, sedangkan kadar abu total sebesar 2,430 ± 0,160 dan 3,570 ± 0,140 % b/b. Aktivitas antioksidan sirup formula 1 dan formula 2 diperoleh nilai IC50 berturut-turut sebesar 114,002 ± 0,174 dan 107,888 ± 0,115 ppm. Kesimpulan: Sirup faloak dengan penambahan jahe merah memiliki aktivitas antioksidan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan tanpa penambahan jahe merah meskipun sama-sama berada dalam kisaran aktivitas sedang.Kata kunci : Faloak, sirup, antioksidan, DPPH

Abstract

Abstract Background: The COVID-19 pandemic had caused the consumption of vitamins in the community to increase with the aim of maintaining immunity in the body.Objective: This study aims to develop an analysis method with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer, which is considered an alternative analysis method that is easier, more practical, and cheaper.Method: Methods for analyzing alpha-tocopherol acetate are validated through specificity tests, linearity measurements, precision tests, accuracy tests, determination of detection limits, determination of quantitation limits, and determination of range using ethanol p.a solvent and UV-Vis Spectrophotometer instruments. Then, examine the alpha tocopherol acetate content of vitamin E dietary supplements.Results: The specificity test showed that matrix had no significant effect on the analysis, the linearity test met the requirements with a concentration range of 20–60 ug/mL (r = 0.9991), the accuracy test was 99.897-100.315%, intraday and interday precision tests were obtained with %RSD less than 2%, the LOD value was 1.859 ug/mL and the LOQ value was 5.635 ug/mL. The determination of levels of vitamin E in dietary supplements showed levels for brand A of 100.508% and brand B of 100.089%.Conclusion: The analytical method developed had met the validation requirements, and the levels of vitamin E food supplements had met the USP requirements.Keywords: method validation, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, alpha tocopherol acetate Intisari Latar belakang: Pandemi COVID-19 menyebabkan penggunaan vitamin di masyarakat meningkat dengan tujuan agar imunitas pada tubuh tetap terjaga.Tujuan: Mengembangkan dan memvalidasi metode analisis vitamin E dengan tujuan uji kualitatif dan kuantitatif menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis yang dinilai sebagai metode analisis alternatif yang lebih mudah, praktis, dan murah. Metode: Validasi metode yang dilakukan untuk analisis senyawa alfa tokoferol asetat meliputi uji spesifisitas, pengukuran linieritas, uji presisi, uji akurasi, penentuan limit deteksi, penentuan limit kuantifikasi, dan penentuan rentang menggunakan pelarut etanol p.a. dan alat spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Metode yang telah memenuhi kriteria validasi kemudian digunakan untuk pengecekan kadar kandungan alfa tokoferol asetat dalam suplemen vitamin E.Hasil: Penelitian ini memberikan hasil yaitu matriks tidak teranalisis pada uji spesifisitas, uji linieritas telah memenuhi syarat dengan rentang konsentrasi 20–60 ug/mL (r2= 0,9991), uji akurasi 99,897-100,315%, uji presisi interday dan intraday didapatkan hasil %RSD kurang dari 2%, nilai LOD 1,859 ug/mL dan nilai LOQ 5,635 ug/mL. Penetapan kadar sediaan vitamin E telah memenuhi ketentuan yaitu 100,508% dan 100,089%.Kesimpulan: Metode yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi ketentuan validitas dan kadar vitamin E pada sampel sesuai dengan ketentuan USP.Kata kunci: validasi metode, spektrofotometer UV-Vis, alfa tokoferol asetat

Abstract

Abstract Background: The increasing incidence of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Indonesia affects the need for hospital inpatient services. One of the parameters of service quality and the use of hospital resources is the length of stay (LOS).Objective: To find the determinants of COVID-19 that affect LOS in hospitals.Methods: Retrospective observational data collection using a cross-sectional study design. The sampling method used was total sampling during the January-August 2021 hospitalization period in the Isolation Room of the General Hospital of Jend. A. Yani Metro City. The data used is medical record data. Bivariate analysis uses Chi Square, while multivariate analysis uses Multiple Logistics Regression.Results: The sample consisted of 443 patients who were treated during the period January-August 2021 in the COVID-19 isolation room at RSUD Jend. A. Yani Metro City. The median LOS is 6 days. Multiple logistic regression analysis shows that the determinants of LOS include severity, diabetes mellitus, heart disease, and D-Dimer.Conclusion: Severity, comorbid diabetes mellitus, comorbid heart disease, and D-Dimer value are the determinants of LOS in confirmed COVID-19 patients in the COVID-19 isolation room at General Ahmad Yani Hospital, Lampung Province.Keywords: Determinants, Coronavirus Disease, LOS, hospital Intisari Latar belakang: Angka kejadian Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) yang mengalami peningkatan di Indonesia mempengaruhi kebutuhan layanan rawat inap rumah sakit. Salah satu parameter mutu layanan dan penggunaan sumber daya rumah sakit adalah length of stay (LOS).Tujuan: Untuk mencari determinan COVID-19 yang berpengaruh terhadap LOS di rumah sakit.Metode: Pengambilan data secara retrospektif observasional menggunakan desain studi cross sectional. Metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling selama periode rawat Januari-Agustus 2021 di Ruang Isolasi RSUD Jend. A. Yani Kota Metro. Data yang digunakan adalah data rekam medis. Analisis bivariat dengan menggunakan Chi Square, sedangkan analisis multivariat menggunakan Regresi Logistik Ganda.Hasil: Sampel berjumlah 443 pasien yang di rawat selama periode Januari-Agustus 2021 di ruang isolasi COVID-19 RSUD Jend. A. Yani Kota Metro. Median LOS adalah 6 hari. Analisis regresi logistik ganda menunjukkan bahwa determinan LOS meliputi; tingkat keparahan, diabetes mellitus, penyakit jantung, D-Dimer.Kesimpulan: Tingkat keparahan, komorbid diabetes mellitus, komorbid penyakit jantung, nilai D-Dimer merupakan determinan terhadap LOS pasien COVID-19 terkonfirmasi di ruang isolasi COVID-19 RSUD Jenderal Ahmad Yani Provinsi Lampung.Kata kunci: Determinan, Coronavirus Disease, LOS, rumah sakit

Abstract

Background: Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is the infectious disease causes Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). The risk of transmission of COVID-19 in the community is increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out educational interventions related to the application of health procedures and vaccination measures. Vaccination activities are expected to inhibit the spread of and prevent the COVID-19 virus. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge and COVID-19 vaccination behavior in East Martapura Regency.Method: This study was non-experimental analytical descriptive research using a cross-sectional approach in the East Martapura Regency. The questionnaires were given to 397 respondents. A chi-square test was used to analyze the correlation between the study variables.Results: Most respondents (66.5%) showed average knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccination. More than fifty percent (66.6%) of respondents had inappropriate behavior towards the COVID-19 vaccination. There was a relationship between knowledge and behavior regarding COVID-19 vaccination (p < 0.001).Conclusion: There was a relationship between knowledge and COVID-19 vaccination behavior in East Martapura Regency.

Abstract

Background: Based on the International Diabetes Federation, the prevalence of diabetes in 2030 will be around 438 million people. In 2019, type 2 diabetes mellitus caused 4.2 million deaths in the world. Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder that requires long-term therapy. Insulin is one of the therapies for type 2 diabetes mellitus. Parameters for monitoring the success of therapy were plasma glucose levels and Hba1c values.Objective: This study aimed to compare the values of plasma glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin (Hba1c) in insulin glargine and detemir patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) at Ulin Regional Public Hospital, Banjarmasin.Method: This study used a cross-sectional study design in March-May 2022 in 60 patients with type 2 DM at Ulin Regional Public Hospital, Banjarmasin. The data taken was in the form of fasting plasma glucose (FPG), 2-hour post-load plasma glucose (OGTT), and Hba1c values for 12 weeks. Statistical analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test with a confidence level of 95%. Results: The results showed that the average pre-post glargine FPG values were 212-139,6 mg/dL and the pre-post detemir FPG values were 224.6-159.8 mg/dL. Hba1c values in patients using glargine pre-post were 9.1% and 8.3%, and the average Hba1c values on insulin detemir pre-post were 9.28% and 8.29%.Conclusion: In therapy using insulin glargine compared to detemir, there was no significant difference between KGDP, KGD2PP, and Hba1C (p> 0.05). Intisari Latar belakang: Berdasarkan International Diabetes Federation (IDF), prevalensi DM tipe 2 tahun 2030 berkisar 438 juta orang. Pada tahun 2019, DM tipe 2 menyebabkan 4,2 juta kematian di dunia. Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolisme yang membutuhkan terapi jangka panjang, dan insulin merupakan salah satu terapi DM tipe 2. Parameter untuk monitoring keberhasilan terapi dapat dilihat berdasar nilai kadar glukosa darah dan nilai Hba1c. Tujuan: Membandingkan nilai Kadar Glukosa Darah Puasa (KGDP), Kadar Glukosa Darah 2 jam Post Prandial (KGD2PP), dan Hba1c pada insulin glargine dan insulin detemir pasien DM tipe 2 di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Ulin, Banjarmasin.Metode: Penelitian menggunakan rancangan cross sectional selama bulan Maret-Mei 2022 pada 60 pasien rawat jalan DM tipe 2 di RSUD Ulin Banjarmasin. Data yang diambil berupa nilai KGDP, KGD2PP dan Hba1c selama 12 minggu. Analisis statistik dilakukan menggunakan analisis mann-whitney test dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rata-rata nilai KGDP glargine pre-post adalah 212 – 139,6 mg/dL dan nilai KGDP detemir pre-post adalah 224,6 – 159,8 mg/dL. Hba1c pada pasien yang menggunakan glargine pre-post adalah 9,1% dan 8,3% serta rata-rata nilai Hba1c pada insulin detemir pre-post adalah 9,28% dan 8,29%.Kesimpulan: Terapi menggunakan insulin glargine dibandingkan detemir tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai KGDP, KGD2PP, dan Hba1C p>0,05).Kata kunci: KGDP, KDG2PP, Hba1c, glargine, detemir

Abstract

Background: The development of science and technology has created a study of anticancer drug discovery through molecular docking. This method can be applied to screening natural compounds that have antioxidant properties as anticancer candidates.Objective: The aim of the in-silico study is to find out the potential antioxidant-anticancer activities using molecular docking of phenolic and flavonoid compounds contained in the Mangifera species.Methods: Mangiferin, homomangiferin, isomangiferin, quercitrin, kaempferol 3-O-glucoside, catechin, epicatechin, daidzein, genistein, α-tocopherol, gallic acid as the test compounds and Vitamin C, doxorubicin, and hydroxyurea as comparison were prepared with MarvinSketch. The targeted protein data bank (PDB) codes used are 1V4S, 1XAN, 2BEL, 4K7O, 5M2F, 6COX, and 2W3L which were prepared with YASARA. The prepared compounds and proteins docked with each other using PLANTs software.Result: The in-silico results showed that only vitamin C can exceed the native ligand docking against the 1V4S receptor. α-tocopherol has a better binding affinity compared to vitamin C on 1XAN, 2BEL, and 5M2F but could not reach the native ligand score. All of the test compounds have potential antioxidant activity against the 4K7O protein receptor, but α-tocopherol is the only one that has the ability to inhibit the 6COX protein receptor. α-tocopherol also has better anticancer activity against breast cancer initiator (2W3L) compared to other test compounds, doxorubicin, hydroxyurea, and native ligands. Conclusion: The conclusion is that α-tocopherol has the most potential as an antioxidant and anticancer candidate through in silico studies.

Abstract

Background: Acne (acne vulgaris) is still a major health problem. Treatment with antibiotics raises problems in the form of resistance, irritation, and immune hypersensitivity. Alternatives derived from natural ingredients are needed to avoid these problems, namely Dayak onions.Objective: To find out the activity of the ethanol extract of onion bulbs in inhibiting the growth of P. acnes based on the variation of the incubation time duration of the bacteria as well as the solvent.Method: Phytochemical screening tests looked for alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, steroids, tannins, and saponins. Testing of the extract’s ability to inhibit bacteria was carried out with variations in the incubation times (24 and 48 hours) and solvents, namely Na-CMC and DMSO. The bacteria growth inhibition test employed the well-diffusion method, and the resulting data was analyzed using SPSS software.Results: Dayak onion extract contains alkaloids, saponins, flavonoids, and triterpenoids. Na-CMC solvent obtained the highest inhibition ability of Dayak onion extract at a concentration of 40% with an inhibition value of 10.12±1.840mm (24 hours), and 11.575±1.694 mm (48 hours) while DMSO solvent showed the highest inhibition at a concentration of 20% with inhibition values of 15.48±1.198 mm (24 hours) and 15.91±1.625 mm (48 hours). Interpretation of the results of the Wilcoxon test based on ranking showed a positive difference at 48 hours of incubation.Conclusion: The optimal incubation time of P. acnes was 48 hours with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as the best solvent. Intisari Latar belakang: Jerawat (acne vulgaris) masih menjadi masalah kesehatan utama. Penannganan dengan antibiotik memunculkan masalah berupa resistensi, iritasi hingga imunohipersensitivitas. Diperlukan alternatif yang berasal dari bahan alam untuk menghindari masalah-masalah tersebut, yaitu bawang dayak (Eleutherine americana Merr.). Tujuan: mengetahui aktivitas ekstrak etanol umbi bawang Dayak dalam menghambat pertumbuhan P. acnes berdasar variasi lama waktu inkubasi bakteri P. acnes dan variasi pelarut.Metode: Pengujian skrining fitokimia meliputi uji alkaloid, flavonoid, triterpenoid, tanin dan saponin. Pengujian aktivitas ekstrak dalam menghambat bakteri dilakukan dengan variasi waktu inkubasi yaitu 24 jam dan 48 jam, serta penggunaan pelarut yang berbeda yaitu Na-CMC dan DMSO. Uji penghambatan bakteri menggunakan metode difusi sumuran dan dilanjutkan dengan analisis data menggunakan SPSS.Hasil: Ekstrak bawang dayak mengandung alkaloid, saponin, flavonoid dan triterpenoid. Pengujian menggunakan pelarut Na-CMC didapatkan kemampuan hambat esktrak bawang dayak tertinggi pada konenstrasi 40% dengan nilai penghambatan 10,12±1,840mm (inkubasi 24jam) dan 11,575±1,694mm (inkubasi 48jam) sedangkan dengan pelarut DMSO didapatkan daya hambat tertinggi pada konsentrasi 20% dengan nilai penghambatan 15,48 ±1,198mm (inkubasi 24jam) dan 15,91±1,625mm (inkubasi 48jam). Interpretasi hasil dari uji Wilcoxon berdasarkan peringkat, menunjukkan perbedaan yang positif pada inkubasi 48 jam. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh waktu inkubasi optimal dari bakteri P. acnes adalah 48 jam dengan pelarut terbaik yang dapat digunakan adalah dimetil sulfoksida (DMSO).Kata kunci: Bawang Dayak, antibakteri, DMSO, Na-CMC, waktu inkubasi

Abstract

Background: Pharmaceutical services are services that are provided directly and responsibly to patients, related to medicines, to achieve accurate results that enhance patient quality of life. Hospitals are required to provide health services that meet optimal service standards. The quality of service in the hospital is very important because, with good service, patient satisfaction will also have a positive impact on the hospital.Objective: The purpose of this research is to analyze the quality of pharmaceutical services and the level of satisfaction of BPJS patients at Hadji Boejasin Pelaihari Hospital.Method: A cross-sectional survey design with a targeted sampling design was used in this study. The research method was a questionnaire containing structured questions to quantify each variable studied. Results: According to the quality survey results, pharmaceutical services were 85.96% (according) and 14.03% (not appropriate), while patient satisfaction had a reliability dimension of 78.63% (very satisfied), responsiveness of 77.82% (very satisfied), assurance of 83.01% (very satisfied), empathy of 80.47% (very satisfied), and tangible of 82.53% (very satisfied).Conclusion: From the average of the five dimensions, a result of 547.4 was obtained with an average patient satisfaction index of 80.49% Intisari Latar belakang: Pelayanan kefarmasian di rumah sakit merupakan kegiatan yang memberikan bantuan secara spontan, konsekuen dan konsisten untuk pasien mengenai obat-obatan agar hasil yang diperoleh sahih dan bermanfaat untuk menaikkan mutu hidup pasien menjadi lebih baik. Rumah sakit dituntut untuk memberikan pelayanan kesehatan yang memenuhi standar pelayanan yang optimal. Kualitas pelayanan di rumah sakit merupakan hal yang sangat penting karena dengan pelayanan yang baik maka kepuasan pasien juga akan berdampak positif bagi rumah sakit.Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas pelayanan kefarmasian dan tingkat kepuasan pasien BPJS di RSUD Hadji Boejasin Pelaihari. Metode: Studi ini menggunakan rancangan survey cross sectional dengan memanfaatkan desain purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian adalah kuesioner yang berisi pertanyaan terstruktur untuk menghitung setiap variabel yang diteliti.Hasil: Hasil penelitian pada kualitas pelayanan kefarmasian sebesar 85,96% (sesuai) dan 14,03% (tidak sesuai), sedangkan untuk tingkat kepuasan pasien pada dimensi reliability 78,63% (sangat puas), responsiveness 77,82% (sangat puas), assurance 83,01% (sangat puas), empathy 80,47% (sangat puas), dan tangible 82,53% (sangat puas).Kesimpulan: Dari rata-rata lima dimensi diperoleh hasil sebesar 547,4 dengan indeks rata – rata tingkat kepuasan pasien sebesar 80,49%.Kata kunci: BPJS, kualitas pelayanan, tingkat kepuasan
