Abstract

This research discusses harmonious labeling on the snake graph  and its application in polyalphabetic cryptography. A harmonious labeling is an injective function from the set of vertices to the set of integers modulo , defined as . This function induces an edge labeling function . For each edge connecting vertices  and , the edge label is given by , producing distinct edge labels. This study presents the construction process of harmonious labeling on the snake graph , where  and . The results show that the snake graph satisfies the conditions for being harmoniously labeled since each edge receives a unique label. The vertex set of  is defined as  and the edge set as  The harmonious labeling on this graph is then applied in cryptography, particularly in forming a cipher table used as a key in the polyalphabetic encryption and decryption process. This approach enhances cryptographic security, as a single plaintext letter can be transformed into various ciphertext possibilities, thereby increasing encryption strength and complicating message decryption attempts by unauthorized parties.  Keywords: harmonious labeling, snake graph, cryptography, polyalphabetic cipher

Abstract

This study has two objectives, namely explaining the effect of the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz Paper Mode on students' understanding of mathematical concepts, with emotional intelligence as a moderating variable, and describing the understanding of mathematical concepts in terms of emotional intelligence. This study uses a mixed method with an explanatory sequential mixed methods design. The quantitative approach uses a pre-experimental research type with a one-shot case study design, while the qualitative approach uses a descriptive method. The results of the study indicate a significant effect of the TGT cooperative learning model assisted by Quizizz Paper Mode on students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Emotional intelligence as a moderating variable also has a significant positive relationship with students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. Students with high emotional intelligence tend to have a stronger understanding of concepts, while students with moderate emotional intelligence show sufficient understanding although not yet in-depth.  Keywords : Emotional Intelligence, Understanding of Mathematical Concepts, Quizizz Paper Mode, TGT

Abstract

The use of the SEVIMA EdLink Learning Management System (LMS) aligns with the digital transformation in education and the Merdeka Curriculum. However, its application in mathematics learning to enhance students’ self-regulated learning and mathematical creative thinking skills remains empirically limited. This study aims to examine the effect of using SEVIMA EdLink LMS on the self-regulated learning and mathematical creative thinking abilities of Grade XI students at SMA U Zainul Hasan. This research employed a quantitative approach with a Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group design. The sample consisted of two classes selected through purposive sampling: class XI F2A as the experimental group (using LMS) and class XI F2B as the control group (conventional learning). Data were collected through creative thinking tests and self-regulated learning questionnaires, then analyzed using t-tests and Pearson correlation at a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that the use of SEVIMA EdLink LMS significantly improved students' self-regulated learning and mathematical creative thinking abilities. Furthermore, a positive correlation was found between the two variables. These findings suggest that LMS can serve as an effective learning medium for improving the quality of mathematics education. Abstract

Several studies on self-regulated learning show that self-regulated learning is related to learning outcomes. In this study it was concluded that individuals will get good results, if they have good self-regulation. But the researchers found research that contradicted this conclusion. The purpose of this study was to find out how to make self-regulated learning directly proportional to student learning outcomes. Research that can be done to find out the description of the research results is a meta-analysis. Subjects were taken from two scientific databases, namely the thesis database for students majoring in Mathematics Education UNTIRTA and scientific articles from the International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education about self-regulated learning. The data analysis technique used in this study is identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The conclusion of this study can be concluded that in determining the way in which self-regulated learning is directly proportional to student learning outcomes, it can be seen from various research categories. Abstract

Meta-analysis is a technique that uses certain measures to show the strength of the relationship between similar variables in a number of different research results. The unit of analysis in this study is the thesis reports of UPY mathematics education students taking the topic of integrating STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) in learning mathematics. This study provides an introduction to the description of the implementation of STEM in students' mathematics learning, specifically aimed at knowing the improvement of the quality of the learning. The analytical technique used is library analysis on research reports taken purposively based on the research objectives. Quantitative analysis was carried out on percentage and nominal data, while qualitative analysis was carried out on study descriptions related to STEM implementation. The results of this study indicate that (1) in the aspect of mathematics learning outcomes, learning with STEM integration is able to describe students' abilities in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains, (2) STEM learning is able to improve the quality of students' mathematics learning  Keywords: Meta-Analysis, STEM, Quality, Learning

Abstract

Airports serve as strategic transportation nodes that significantly contribute to regional economic development. Ensuring service quality is therefore essential not only for enhancing passenger satisfaction but also for strengthening institutional competitiveness and reputation. Traditional service quality assessments in airports have predominantly relied on quantitative indicators, which are often insufficient to capture subjective and qualitative dimensions such as passenger perceptions and preferences. This study proposes an integrated evaluation framework combining Fuzzy SERVQUAL and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) to provide a more comprehensive assessment of service quality at Supadio Airport. The Fuzzy SERVQUAL method quantifies passenger satisfaction by addressing the inherent vagueness of human judgment, while IPA identifies critical service attributes requiring managerial attention. Empirical findings indicate that, although the perceived service quality falls short of passenger expectations, the negative gaps remain relatively minor (greater than -5), suggesting that Supadio Airport’s services are approaching the desired standard. The integration of Fuzzy SERVQUAL and IPA not only enhances the robustness of service quality measurement but also generates actionable insights for prioritising improvement strategies. This contribution demonstrates the methodological value of hybrid models in addressing multidimensional service quality issues and provides practical implications for airport management seeking to optimise service delivery and competitiveness. Abstract

This study aims to explore mathematical concepts embedded in local cultural practices through an ethnomathematical approach, focusing on the traditional game Gasing, the traditional musical instrument Taganing, and the traditional food Putu Bambu. These three cultural objects were analyzed to identify mathematical elements such as geometry, symmetry, three-dimensional shapes, similarity, number patterns, and measurement within the context of discrete mathematics. The research employed a qualitative observational method and literature review using an ethnographic approach. The findings reveal that Taganing incorporates concepts of plane and solid geometry, as well as tonal regularity that can be mathematically mapped; Gasing involves rotational motion, cylindrical shapes, and discrete calculations such as the number of spins and spinning duration; while Putu Bambu reflects cylindrical geometry and the relationship between circles and rectangles in its packaging and presentation. These results demonstrate that local cultural heritage can serve as an effective source of contextual learning to enhance students' mathematical understanding and simultaneously support the preservation of cultural values in education.  Keywords: ethnomathematics, local culture, Taganing, Gasing, Putu Bambu, contextual learning

Abstract

Geometry learning, especially on the volume of cylinders and cones in elementary schools is often faced with obstacles in students' conceptual understanding, mainly due to ineffective learning methods, such as lectures and the use of limited two-dimensional media. The purpose of this study was to improve students' conceptual understanding of grade VI on the material of cylinders and cones using the "BUNGKER" media. This study used a quantitative approach with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, the study involved 35 grade VI elementary school students in two schools in Kudus Regency, Central Java. Data were collected through pretests and posttests as well as observations, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and n-gain, but first tested for normality with the Shapiro-Wilk test. The results showed that the "BUNGKER" learning media proved effective in improving students' conceptual understanding of the material on the volume of cylinders and cones, indicated by a significant increase in the N-gain test per indicator, overall the "BUNGKER" media is recommended as an effective alternative learning strategy. Abstract

Air defence is one of the vital systems in national defence. This system generally includes several processes, namely detection by radar, object identification and decision making. The level of success really depends on the accuracy of decision-making. However, it is not yet known for certain which processes critical processes in decision-making. In this research, we will discuss the application of max plus algebra in determining which process of the workflow for air defence systems is the most critical one. Graphical interpretation of the system using graphs and Timed Petri Nets to make it easier to understand and analyse. The research results show that the success of the entire process depends on the readiness of the radar in carrying out surveillance of the coverage area. This can be seen from the critical circuit, which only depends on the place relating to the situation. Keywords: Max plus algebra, Timed Petri Net, air defence system.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic changed the offline learning system to online learning. Video conferencing can help teachers and students in the teaching and learning process to replace face-to-face learning into online. The purpose of this study was to find out how the effectiveness of learning mathematics using Video Conference during online learning. The research method used is a descriptive method using a survey method by describing student responses during learning using Video Conference and the results of the analysis to make conclusions.
