Abstract

During the pandemic, several governments choose to emphasize the strict approach to immigration on their border. This approach focuses on screening, tracing, and quarantine mechanisms. One of the countries that prioritize this method rather than relying on vaccination is Taiwan. This approach is also heavily affected by information technology advancement in government. This paper will discuss the implementation of digital fencing in Taiwan, using a qualitative method and personal narrative elaboration. The informants of this study are foreigners who entered and exited Taiwan during the COVID-19 pandemic and will provide a lot of resourceful data based on their experience. The result indicates that the socio-technical approach helps Taiwan in implementing digital fencing to reduce the risk of COVID-19.

Abstract

Public service innovation is the main focus to improve the quality of services for the community, especially in terms of licensing services. One of the applications of licensing innovation is by launching the Jakarta Evolution (JakEVO) application to facilitate the online licensing process at the DKI Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office. The purpose of the research is to determine the innovation of the JakEVO application in online licensing services at the Capital Investment Office and One-Stop Services of DKI Jakarta. This study uses descriptive qualitative research method the results of the study show that: 1) Relative Advantage, the JakEVO application provides benefits for the community and ease of obtaining when accessing permits. 2) Conformity, JakEVO is declared inappropriate because the flow of handling permits and the time of handling permits are different from the provisions that apply to the Decree of the Head of the DKI Jakarta PTSP Office. 3) Complexity, the level of complexity of JakEVO according to users is quite complicated. 4) Trialed Ability, before being launched to the community JakEVO did not go through the trial stage. 5) Observability, this application is easily observed by the public to monitor the course of permit files and make it easier for officers to get detailed data on the number of permits entered in the application from 2020 to 2023, so the JakEVO application has not been able to improve online licensing services in DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

This research was motivated by there is a policy transition from BAN PT to LAM which requires funds to support the accreditation process. This research focuses analysis effectiveness of government subsidy programs for private university in Surabaya. The method uses mix-methods and the data collection applies three techniques, namely questionnaire, interviews, documentation. Questionnaire distributed to respondents to obtain data by utilizing Google Form. The interview was carried out with the structural officials of private universities in Surabaya also documentation used to sharpen the analysis. Data analysis according to Miles and Huberman concept includes collecting data, present data, reducing data, and drawing conclusions. Based on data analysis, the effectiveness related to the presence of a government subsidy program as a solution to the transition of accreditation policy from BAN PT to LAM. The results are of the research that this government subsidy program can ease the funding burden on private universities and have positive impact.

Abstract

This study evaluates the job performance of government employees during the transition period from the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) to the Bangsamoro Autonomous in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM). It specifically attempts to determine the employees' job performance regarding efficiency, timeliness, and responsiveness. This study used a descriptive quantitative method to analyze the data gathered. It also employed a qualitative approach in analyzing and interpreting the data. A convenient sampling method was employed in the data gathering. Key informants' interview was also employed to extract raw data from the participants. Essential statistical tools like mean and standard deviation were also resorted to in the data treatment. The study results revealed that the employees performed well on the three variables. However, timeliness was found to have the lowest mean among the variables. The finding implies that statement indicators under this variable could have been performed better by the employees during the transition period.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui transformasi pelayanan publik dan bentuk inovasi digital dalam peningkatan kualitas pelayanan publik di Mal Pelayanan Publik Badung. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi dari website, surat kabar, dan jurnal yang relevan dengan penelitian. Analisis data pada penelitian ini juga menggunakan fitur Concept Map pada NVIVO12 Plus. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk pelayanan publik di Kabupaten Badung lebih mengutamakan model birokrasi pemerintahan yang inovatif karena proses pelayanan kepada masyarakat yang semula menggunakan kertas telah berubah dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Terbentuknya Mal Pelayanan Publik Badung yang dianalisis menggunakan teori tata kelola inovatif secara riil, meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas pelayanan publik. Hal ini terlihat dari 29 instansi yang bekerja dan berafiliasi dengan Pemerintah, swasta, BUMN/BUMD, serta memiliki 12 fasilitas yang memadai. Pendirian Mall Pelayanan Publik juga mempengaruhi jumlah pengunjung yang datang setiap harinya karena berbagai pelayanan dalam satu tempat dapat dilayani dengan mudah dan cepat.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the realization of Business Licensing Service Innovation in the Issuance of E-Government Based Business Identification Numbers (NIB) through Online Single Submission (OSS) at the Pamekasan Regency One-Stop Integrated Service Capital Investment Service. The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative, where data is obtained from interviews and documentation. The data that the author has obtained is then analyzed using data analysis techniques from Miles and Hubberman, namely reducing data, presenting data, and verifying/drawing conclusions. This research uses the theory used by Everett M Rogers in Prabowo et al (2022) which is measured in several indicators, namely Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Triablity, Complexity, and Observability.).The results of this research show that the Business Licensing Service Innovation in Issuing Business Identification Numbers (NIB) Based on E-Government through Online Single Submission (OSS) at the Pamekasan Regency One-Stop Integrated Service Capital Investment Service can be said to be going well, although there are several problems However, this can be resolved by visiting the Pamekasan Regency DPMPTSP to get help with the problems you are experiencing. The increase in the number of NIB issuers every year shows that this innovation is in great demand by business people to help in processing business permits.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the strategy of the Komisi Pemilihan Umum of Sukabumi City to increase voter participation with disabilities in the upcoming 2024 elections. The research method used is qualitative, the informant settings that researchers determine in this study are the Chairperson of the Sukabumi City Komisi Pemilihan Umum, the Coordinator of the Socialization Division, Voter Education, Community Participation, and Human Resources, Persons with Disabilities of Gunung Puyuh District. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation, and the data validation used was triangulation technique. The results of this study show that the Sukabumi KPU has implemented the principles of strategic planning and action selection in accordance with the theory proposed by Salusu (2015). The implementation of this effective strategy leads to more directed and successful efforts in increasing voter participation with disabilities in the 2024 General Election in Sukabumi City.

Abstract

Study aims to evaluate the Sukabumi City Pelita Market Revitalization Program. The main focus is to understand the revitalization program, its implementation, and its impact on both traders and the local public. Evaluation steps include identifying program successes, challenges faced, and responses to feedback from various stakeholders. Research methods involve descriptive qualitative analysis using techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants include the Head of the Sukabumi City Trade Service, PT. Fortunindo Artha Perkasa, and Pelita Market traders. Data is analyzed through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research results show the effectiveness of related programs in enhancing the number of traders, sales turnover, and quality of market facilities, although there are diverse views from stakeholders. Efficiency in resource utilization, particularly in technology and optimal budget management, is a primary focus, although challenges in budget management and engagement with third-party parties remain. Adequate support for merchants, including facilities and training, is essential, along with attention to temporary access paths and additional support needs. Economic alignment in the market is crucial, but concerns regarding costs and accessibility persist. Responsibility for addressing trader and public feedback is important for sustainable repair, including market cleanliness and safety. The accuracy of the revitalization program must align with the needs of local traders, society, and aspirational goals, with room for increased responsibility and sustainability in the program, hoping for the involvement of all parties concerned.

Abstract

The TPK consists of a group of personnel including Midwives, Family Welfare Program Cadres, and Family Planning Cadres to provide assistance such as counseling, referral services facilitation, and facilitating the acceptance of social assistance programs for prospective brides/couples of reproductive age, pregnant women, postpartum mothers, children aged 0-59 months, as well as conducting surveillance of families at risk of stunting to early detect stunting risk factors. However, in its implementation, there are several issues such as the insufficient number of healthcare personnel in each village team, the increasing cases of stunting in the Gunungguruh District, and the suboptimal performance of TPK. Based on these phenomena, the researchers are interested in analyzing the effectiveness of TPK implementation, especially in the Gunungguruh District, using qualitative descriptive methods. The researchers use Matland's theory, employing indicators such as policy appropriateness, implementation appropriateness, target appropriateness, environmental appropriateness, and process appropriateness. This study uses purposive sampling with 12 informants consisting of local government officials, district officials, village officials, and community members, employing data collection techniques including interviews, literature reviews, and observations. The analysis results according to Matland's theory lead to the conclusion that the TPK Program Policy implemented in the Gunungguruh District, Sukabumi Regency, generally has not been effective. Factors hindering the implementation of the TPK program include budget constraints, lack of community awareness, minimal training implementation, and suboptimal coordination among relevant agencies. Efforts to improve the implementation of the TPK program include increasing the budget, raising community awareness, enhancing knowledge and training, and improving coordination among relevant agencies.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of work discipline and compensation on employee performance at PT. Daehan Global Sukabumi. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive analysis. The population includes all 3,547 employees at the company. Using purposive sampling techniques, the sample was selected as 71 employees representing each department. Data was collected through a questionnaire which was measured on a 5 point Likert scale. Multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results of this research show that work discipline and compensation variables have a significant effect on the performance of PT employees. Daehan Global Sukabumi, and work discipline and compensation jointly influence the performance of PT employees. Daehan Global Sukabumi.
