Abstract

One of the factors contributing to the low learning outcomes of physics students in school is the lack of concept mastery. The aim of carrying out this research is to provide insight to educators regarding identifying misconceptions about force and movement and to assist teachers in resolving these misconceptions. The research method uses a narrative literature review. The data obtained were 20 national and international journal articles randomly indexed by Sinta and Scopus regarding the concept of science learning on force and motion material in elementary education in 2012 - 2024. Data collection techniques were carried out through literature studies. Data analysis techniques from this research consist of research questions, conducting searches, identifying keywords, reviewing abstracts and articles, and resulting documents. The findings of this research show that there are still misconceptions in science learning regarding friction force, gravitational force, and free-fall motion. This misconception occurs among pupils and students (prospective teachers). The causes of these misconceptions are the students themselves, teaching materials, context, teachers, and teaching methods. The implication of this research provides an illustration that teachers must use interactive, innovative, and creative media with innovative learning models to minimize students' misconceptions in elementary schools so that learning is appropriate to students' cognitive development stages, namely concrete operations.

Abstract

This study aims to explain an effort to strengthen the character of global diversity at SDN 1 Pringsurat, Temanggung Regency through extracurricular arts activities. The Merdeka Curriculum directs students to become people with character known as the 6 profiles of Pancasila students. One of the dimensions that is expected to be the character of Pancasila students today is global diversity, namely Indonesian students who have global competence but have personalities following Pancasila values. This study uses a qualitative method with a Phenomenological approach. The stages of the research were carried out in the form of data collection activities, data verification, data analysis-synthesis, and presentation in written form. The findings obtained in this study were that the extracurricular arts implemented at SDN 1 Pringsurat in the form of training and performances of Soreng Dance, regional songs, Islamic songs, and national songs were real practices of efforts to strengthen the character of global diversity. The presence of various art materials shows the diversity of values such as local, spiritual, and national values which are manifested in the "arts festival" of multicultural education. The goal is that humans as part of a global society that follows world progress trends, are not uprooted from the roots of their nation's culture. The result is that the nation's noble values, such as love of the homeland, patriotism, and diversity are instilled in students from an early age.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the relationship between the confidence and critical thinking skills of prospective MI/SD teachers and their impact on their teaching quality. This lack of understanding is a significant problem because critical thinking skills are indispensable to overcoming the challenges of the increasingly complex world of education. This research focuses on how self-confidence can shape the critical thinking skills of prospective teachers and their relevance to better teaching. This study involved 50 prospective MI/SD teachers who were registered in the MI/SD Teacher Education Program of Raden Intan State Islamic University Lampung. The qualitative approach was chosen because it allows us to delve deeper into the subjective experience of prospective teachers regarding how they use confidence to improve their critical thinking skills. This approach is appropriate because it provides space for a more holistic understanding of individual experiences and perceptions in the context of learning. The methods used qualitatively include open interviews, documentation, and observation, with data analysis following the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models. The results of the study show that high self-confidence strengthens critical thinking skills through good material preparation, effective teaching strategies, and a supportive environment. For example, prospective teachers who were initially hesitant are now more confident in asking analytical questions to students. This study recommends educational institutions design training programs to increase the confidence of prospective teachers to be ready to face educational challenges and improve the quality of teaching.

Abstract

Discipline is a fundamental aspect in shaping students character within the school environment. However, in reality, various forms of student non-compliance with school regulations are still found, such as tardiness, lack of involvement in the daily class picket schedule, and insufficient awareness of maintaining cleanliness. This issue occurs at Kramatwatu 2 Elementary School and requires strategic efforts for its resolution. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the community-driven initiative program in strengthening students discipline character as a strategy to foster student discipline and responsibility. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. The  research subjects consist of third-grade teachers and students. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and source triangulation to ensure data validity. Data analysis is conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which involves stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that teachers apply various strategies in this program, such as the formation of student groups with  positive character identities,  the use of emotional bag media as a means of self-reflection, and the implementation of a daily picket system in class. Furthermore, efforts to understand individual student characteristics are carried out through observation and direct interaction. This study also identifies supporting factors and obstacles in the program's implementation, which need to be addressed to ensure the program's sustainability and effectiveness in shaping students discipline character.
