Abstract

It's an era of evolution where people easily access information through digital networks. This digital era makes it easier and faster to search for knowledge, information and communication in education. Apart from having a positive impact, this digital era also has negative impacts; including making human’s individual creatures. Strengthening these moral beliefs makes people more religious and moral in living their lives. Many people have ignored moral beliefs, even though the issue of moral beliefs cannot be taken lightly, because beliefs are the foundation of life for Muslims and morals are the realization of faith itself. This study is an effort to motivate or empower teenagers and optimize their abilities in facing the era of digitalization. This research is to find out how to strengthen the beliefs and morals of Islamic teenagers in the digital era. The research results were obtained from a literature study regarding moral education in the digital era. The research results were obtained by providing various guidance and knowledge about Islamic teachings correctly and guided by the Qur’an and hadith. Moral belief education can also make people who can withstand the test of responding to the current developments in the digital world. Keywords: Strengthening; Moral beliefs; Era of Digitalization

Abstract

The people of Aceh are most displeased with new things emerging from religion, especially in the name of Islam itself, such as Islam Nusantara. They will first vocally respond to Isnus without looking for details from the source. Especially young Acehnese activists. They are vocal about responding to their own version of Isnus, and mostly update their status on social media about developing issues. This research aims to map the response of young Acehnese activists to the issue of Indonesian Islam; finding the pattern of Indonesian Islam from the perspective of young Acehnese activists; explain the social dynamics of Acehnese society that emerged from the issue of Indonesian Islam; thus giving birth to characteristics or polarization of society with different criteria for the same issue. This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out through participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Interviews and observations were conducted with young Acehnese activists. The young Acehnese activists who were informants in this research were cadres of the Muhammadiyah organization, Nahdlatul Ulama, MIUMI, BKPRMI, HMI, PII, Rabithah Taliban Aceh (RTA). and explained to the public comprehensively so that they do not misunderstand Islam. If this is not done, then it would be better if there was no cultivation of Indonesian Islam. This view emerged from BKPRMI, KAMMI, HMI cadres.

Abstract

The low understanding of 5th-grade students at SDN Ukirsari on adding fractions became the reason for this research. The issue arises because learning approaches tend to be less student-oriented and do not utilize learning media. The RME (Realistic Mathematic Education) approach is implemented as a corrective action to address this issue. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model which is characterized by each cycle including 4 stages (planning, acting, observation, reflection). To obtain data on action processes and learning outcomes, observation and test techniques are used. The targets for the success of this research were achieved in cycle II. The results of data analysis on cycle I and II learning outcomes prove that there is an increase in the percentage of students' completion after using the RME approach. Based on data analysis from observations, it can be seen that there has been a change in the quality  of  the  learning  process  to  become  student-centered.  So,  the  RME approach succeeded in improving the learning outcomes of 5th-grade students at SDN Ukirsari on the concept of adding fractions and was also able to encourage students to be more active during the learning process. Keywords: RME, Fractions, Elementary school.

Abstract

Spatial thinking ability is the ability to mentally manipulate and rotate an object in solving two-dimensional and third-dimensional geometric problems as well as the ability to imagine the shape of an object from a different perspective in solving three-dimensional geometric problems. This spatial ability is very necessary for students because good spatial abilities will also support good understanding of mathematics. Apart from that, students also need spatial abilities to solve everyday problems, such as looking at a map, explaining their position and so on. This spatial ability consists of spatial visualization, spatial rotation and spatial orientation. To improve spatial abilities, teachers must be creative in designing learning by using various media or teaching aids that are appropriate to the material being studied. Keywords: Spatial thinking skills, Geometry, Elementary education

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of mathematical concepts at MIN 26 Aceh Besar. Data obtained from 26 students show that 27.88% of students can solve problems with the indicator of restating a concept, 41.35% can solve problems with the indicator of identifying examples and non-examples of a concept, and 30.77% can solve problems with the indicator of identifying objects according to specific properties in line with the concept. The low understanding of these concepts is due to the lack of students' desire to learn the material presented and their failure to pay attention to the material explained by the teacher. This study aims to determine the impact of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach assisted by unit cube props on the conceptual understanding of fifth-grade students at MIN 26 Aceh Besar. This research uses a quantitative method with a true-experimental design. The population in this study comprises all fifth-grade students at MIN 26 Aceh Besar, while the samples are class Va, consisting of 26 students, and class Vb, consisting of 23 students. The instrument used in this research is a test to measure students' conceptual understanding. The data collection technique is a test in the form of a pre-test and post-test. Data analysis techniques include converting ordinal data into interval data using the Method of Successive Intervals (MSI), creating frequency distribution lists, calculating average values, conducting normality tests, homogeneity tests, equality of two means tests, regression tests, and hypothesis tests. Based on the analysis results, the average score obtained in the experimental class pre-test is 12.59 and in the control class is 11.17. Meanwhile, the post-test average score for the experimental class is 18.598, and for the control class, it is 13.672. The analysis results show that t_{calculated} = 9.425 and t_{table} = 1.677; since t_{calculated} > t_{table}, Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted. Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education, Unit Cube Props

Abstract

One of the teacher's tasks in affective assessment is to measure students' talents, encouragement and interest in the material being taught. It is hoped that the assessment results will provide an overview of students' affective measures, so that teachers can analyze and make recommendations on how to improve students' attitudes, encouragement and motivation for learning. However, in practice teachers in elementary schools face various challenges in carrying out affective assessments. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive analysis method with a phenomenological approach. A phenomenological approach is also used to support literature studies from relevant books and journals. Challenges in affective assessment include teachers' lack of understanding of assessment standards, limitations in implementing authentic assessment, and difficulties in directing and observing students as a whole. The subjectivity of assessment is also a problem, considering that assessment results are often influenced by teachers' personal perceptions and preferences, which causes inconsistent assessment results. Other obstacles include limited assessment tools and methods, lack of training for teachers, and low involvement of parents and the community in supporting affective assessment. Keywords: Teacher Challenges, Affective Assessment, Elementary School
