Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the supervisory role of the principal in improving teacher performance in implementing learning at SMK Negeri 1 Klego, Boyolali Regency. This study uses a school action research design (PTS) designed in two cycles, namely, cycle I and cycle II. The subjects of this study were teachers at SMK Negeri 1 Klego. Data analysis uses qualitative data analysis which originates from primary and empirical data. The results showed that the supervision of the school principal played a role in improving teacher performance in implementing learning at SMK Negeri 1 Klego Boyolali Regency where overall teacher performance was already in good performance (100%) because it had a percentage of performance that was above (Above 76%)

Abstract

The research aims to know the students skill of the narrative writing. The population of this study were all fifth grade students of Elementary School in Gondangrejo District in the 2018/2019 academic year with cluster random sampling technique. This study uses an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. Data collection was carried out using a test technique for data on narrative writing skills and non-test techniques for data on student interest in learning. Questionnaire is used on the variable of interest in learning. The data analysis technique used two-way Anava test with unequal cell frequencies. The results show that the narrative writing skills of students who are taught the Concept Sentence learning model are better than students who are taught the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model (FA = 10,77 ˃ F(0,05;1;44) = 4,06), high learning interest has a better effect on narrative writing skills than low learning interest (FB = 32,58 ˃ F(0,05;1;44) = 4,06); and there is no interaction effect between learning model and interest in learning on narrative writing skills (FAB = 1,82 ˃ F(0,05;1;44) = 4,06).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve the cursive handwriting skill through drill learning method of the students in 2nd grade of SDN Soropadan No. 108 Surakarta. Classroom action research was used for this study, which was conducted over the course of two cycles. Every cycle had two meetings. Students in 2nd grade of SDN Soropadan No. 108 Surakarta was the subject of this research. They were 32 total students. The data was collected by observation, interview, test, and documentary. The data validity was using  content validity, source triangulation and technique triangulation. The data analysis was using interactive analysis model. According to research results, the students in 2nd grade of SDN Soropadan No. 108 Surakarta saw an improvement in their cursive handwriting skills. When compared to the minimum guaranteed score of 75, the pre-action average for the cursive handwriting skills test was 57.03, with a classical completion rate of 16%, or as many as 5 out of 32 students. In the first cycle, the average value was 75.4, with a classical completion rate of 56%, or 18 out of 32 students, being successful. In the second cycle, the average value increased to 85.77, with classical completeness reached 84%, or 27 out of 32 students successfully completed. The conclusions in this research is cursive handwriting skill can be improved through drill learning method of the students in 2nd grade of SDN Soropadan No. 108 Surakarta.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of character education values in learning theme 2 in class III and V students of SD Negeri Pleret Kidul, the obstacles encountered in implementation, and efforts to overcome these obstacles. The subjects of this study were teachers of grades III and V at SD Negeri Pleret Kidul. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. Data on the implementation of character education in thematic learning was obtained from the teacher. Researchers made direct observations at schools to observe the implementation of character education in thematic learning. Data validity uses source triangulation. Data analysis used the Miles-Huberman interactive analysis model. The results showed that the teachers in grades III and V SD Negeri Pleret Kidul had implemented character education values in the implementation of learning theme 2 as evidenced by the integration of learning theme 2 with character education.

Abstract

The descriptive qualitative research conducted aims to describe the cultivation of social values in social studies learning grade V elementary school. The subjects of this study were students and teachers of the VA class at SD Negeri Mangkubumen Kidul. Research data obtained from interviews, observations and questionnaires. Validity in this study used triangulation techniques and the analysis of Miles-Huberman model. The outcomes of this research show that teachers instill social values in several ways; 1) Instillation of social values through learning methods is lecture methods,  giving  concrete questions, questions and answers, reward-punishment, assignment methods;2) Planting social values through example and habituation, exemplary through arriving on time, welcoming students a friendly way, habituation tenable with routine activities such as praying, cleaning the table  and spontaneous activities such as asking students for help;3) Verbal instillation of social values through motivation, reprimand and advice. motivation is given in by praise, reprimand and advice is given when students show unkind behavior such as arriving late, not collecting assignments, making rowdy in class. In this way, teachers implicitly instill social values in students, so that students can demonstrate behaviors that reflect social values and social values embedded in students that are integrated through learning activities.

Abstract

The objectives to be achieved in this study are to find out, (1) Abstract: The objectives to be achieved in this research are to, (1) analyze the fulfillment of Child Friendly School indicators at SMP Negeri 3 Ungaran, Semarang Regency in order to fulfill children's rights. (2) Analyzing the successful implementation of the Child Friendly School Policy at SMP Negeri 3 Ungaran, Semarang Regency. (3) Analyze school constraints in implementing the Child Friendly School Policy. (4) Analyze the efforts made by schools in overcoming obstacles to the implementation of the Child Friendly School Policy to fulfill children's rights. The results showed that SMP Negeri 3 Ungaran had met the Child Friendly School indicators with very good criteria so that the children's rights to worship according to their religion, expression according to their level of intelligence, the right to education and teaching, the right to protection from the education unit were fulfilled. The implementation of the Child Friendly School Policy in the aspects of communication, resources, disposition and bureaucracy was very successful. Internal constraints include the presence of students who have not implemented SRA commitments, complaints from teachers and the infrastructure does not meet SRA needs. External obstacles are in the form of the negative influence of the free culture of the community and the not yet optimal participation of parents in supporting Child Friendly Schools. Internal obstacles are overcome by communicating and disseminating understanding of Child Friendly Schools to both students and teachers, while external obstacles are overcome by implementing character values in online learning, often involving the police through Babinkamtipmas and communication approaches with parents and guardians.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) describe whether there is a relationship between the educational contribution of parents and social learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students; 2) describe whether or not there is a relationship between learning motivation and social studies learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students; and 3) describe whether there is a relationship between parents' educational contribution and learning motivation together with social studies learning outcomes of fourth grade elementary school students. A correlational study survey approach was used in this study. The population of this study were fourth grade students of a Public Elementary School in Laweyan District, Surakarta for the 2021/2022 academic year. The Probability Sampling approach was used to collect the sample. Data collection techniques with tests and questionnaires. Based on data analysis, 1) there is a positive and significant relationship between parental guidance and student social studies learning outcomes of 49.1 percent; 2) there is a positive and significant relationship between learning motivation and student social studies learning outcomes of 26.4 percent; and 3) there is a positive and significant relationship between parental guidance and learning motivation together with student social studies learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems of the Javanese learning process of grade IV poetry material at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta and the causes of problems in the Javanese learning process of grade IV poetry material at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta. This research is a type of qualitative research with a content analysis design. The data collection techniques used in this study include interviews and questionnaires with data analysis using interactive analysis models. The results of the research obtained show that the problem in the learning process of Javanese poetry material at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta is that students have difficulty in understanding the vocabulary and meaning of each word in poetry, as well as the culture of using Javanese that is not used to it in everyday life also affects their difficulty in understanding Javanese learning poetry material. Moreover, the cause of students' problems in the Javanese learning process in poetry material at SDN Mangkubumen Lor No. 15 Surakarta is due to internal factors including lack of concentration, lack of self-confidence and lack of motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model to the multiplication of grade III students. About the implementation of learning, model syntax, and interaction and interest in learning multiplication. The research subjects were teachers and third grade students. This research is a descriptive qualitative research based on field phenomena. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity is used with data triangulation techniques. The analysis technique used is the data analysis technique of Miles and Huberman. The results of this study indicate that the teacher has carried out learning through the application of models very well. Teachers have implemented innovative learning with the TGT model, through student-centered learning, contact of view, active involvement of students, enthusiasm and interest in learning, and good interaction. The problem is solved by using an innovative tgt type model. Teachers have long used the tgt model to learn multiplication, adapting the 2013 curriculum and innovative learning. So that it can be seen that the success in applying the tgt model to understanding, interest in learning and multiplication learning outcomes of students at SDN Pondok is quite good.

Abstract

The aims of the study were to find errors in the use of Indonesian spelling that occurred in the descriptive essays of fourth grade elementary school students, to describe the factors causing errors in the use of Indonesian spelling that occurred in students' descriptive essays, and to describe the teacher's efforts to overcome errors in the use of Indonesian spelling that occurred. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data obtained from observation, interviews, and document studies. Errors in writing words are the most common category of errors found and errors in writing absorption elements are the fewest errors made by students. The cause of the error is the lack of students' understanding of the use of spelling. Teachers also have not used strategies or media to support learning to write in their classes. The teacher's effort to overcome these problems is by holding regular composing activities so that students often do writing activities. The teacher also gives direct directions to students when they find errors in students' writing.
