Abstract

This research aims to describe basic sentence structure errors and describe the factors that cause basic sentence structure errors in writing interview text skills. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects were fourth grade students, fourth grade teachers, and the principal of SD Negeri Tegalsari. Data collection techniques used interviews, documentation studies, and observation. The data validity test technique uses source triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique uses an interactive analysis of the Miles and Huberman model which includes four stages: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, and (4) drawing conclusions. The results showed that the analysis of basic sentence structure errors on the subject indicator (19.23%), predicate indicator (13.46%), object indicator (8.65%), description indicator (45.2%), and complementary indicators (13.46%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the analysis of basic sentence structure errors in the description indicator is the indicator that most errors occur in the use of sentences. The theoretical implications can be used as a reference for further research. The practical implications can help educators understand how students understand basic sentence structures and to improve future learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out to describe the Teacher Collaborative Guidance Strategy to improve the teacher's ability to apply the cooperative learning model. The population is teachers from class I to grade 6 plus physical education teachers at SDN 3 Putat totaling 7 people. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques.  This research was carried out in two cycles each cycle including: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The results showed that from each cycle there was an increase. In the pre-cycle the teacher's ability to prepare lesson plans showed an average yield of 59.14% while in the implementation of learning 57.62%. In cycle I the results have changed in the preparation of learning plans 72.7% and 65% of learning implementation. In cycle II it increased to 81% in preparing lesson plans and 71% in implementing learning. The results of this study indicate that the teacher's performance at SDN 3 Putat, Purwodadi District, Grobogan Regency in 2021/2022 in semester II in the preparation and implementation of learning for each cycle has increased. In preparing lesson plans from pre-cycle to Cycle I it increased by 13.56% and from cycle I to cycle II rose 8.30%. In the learning process from pre-cycle to cycle I, it increased by 7.38% and from cycle I to cycle II, it increased by 6%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the character education value of love for the homeland at Mangkubumen Kidul Surakarta. This research is a qualitative research. The subjects of this study were students of class IVB Elementary School Mangkubumen Kidul Surakarta, totaling six student respondents. Data collection techniques in this study used interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The validity of the data in this study used technical and time triangulation. Data analysis used the Miles-Huberman interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicate that in the implementation of the character education value of love for the homeland, student respondents can act to accept the diversity with a percentage of 80%; using domestic products with a percentage of 100%; imitate the value of heroism with a percentage of 84%; memorized the national anthem with a percentage of 74%; build a person who likes to learn with a percentage of 87%; and prioritize the public interest over personal or group with a percentage of 49%. Based on the average data obtained, it can be identified that the love of the homeland character education has been implemented very well.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain the supporting and inhibiting factors for implementing school-based management in the field of facilities and infrastructure at SDIT MTA Surakarta in 2022. This research design uses descriptive qualitative research, case study approach. The research subjects were principals, waka sarpras and classroom teachers as informants who carried out of school-based management in the field of facilities and infrastructure, and the research object was SDIT MTA Surakarta. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The data validity test technique used is method triangulation and source triangulation. The data analysis technique used interactive data analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that in the implementation of school-based management in the field of facilities and infrastructure at SDIT MTA Surakarta in 2022 most of them had gone well, which included planning, procurement, storage, maintenance, inventory, elimination and supervision of the management of facilities and infrastructure management. The supporting factor is that most of the school's residents in the management of facilities and infrastructure seem to have independence, partnership, participation, openness, and accountability so that schools can fulfill educational goals by completing learning facilities, especially in the field of elementary school of facilities and infrastructure. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of Human Resources to manage a relatively new school.

Abstract

The main problems that will be solved through this School Action Research are: Efforts to Improve Teacher Performance in Making Learning Devices at SDN 3 Ngambakrejo, Responsibilityrjo District, Grobogan Regency by carrying out supervision activities. The action hypothesis is: If supervision activities are carried out effectively, it is suspected that the teacher's performance in making learning tools will increase. This research is the action of the school principal to improve teacher performance in the process of compiling/making learning tools at SDN 3 Ngambakrejo, Responsibilityrjo District, Grobogan Regency. The research was conducted in four stages and included four activities, namely observation, planning, implementation and monitoring, meaning and reflection as well as revision or planning for the next cycle. Each cycle consists of 3 actions, namely: informing teachers about the procedures for compiling learning tools, providing training in the form of assignments to compiling syllabus, Responsibility Program, Semester Program, KKM, Learning Plans and Analysis to teachers and concluding the material for supervision activities. To monitor the implementation of action research, tools are used in the form of observation sheets and notes to improve teacher performance in making learning tools. Researchers have the role of providing input in every action that will be carried out by the teacher. The results showed that the percentage of teachers who experienced an increase in teacher performance in each supervision activity always increased in each cycle. The average percentage of teachers who made learning tools perfectly, namely cycle I, was 50% and 85.75%. Managerial supervision activities have been proven to improve teacher performance in preparing learning tools. This managerial supervision that is carried out effectively can be used and developed to assist teachers in solving problems encountered in making reports.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the forms of difficulties experienced by students in solving story problems in fractional material and their causal factors in terms of gender. The indicator of the problem solving steps used is the Polya step. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 1 Tanggeran for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data sources in this study were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Tanggeran. The research subjects were two male students and two female students. The data collection techniques used were interviews and document studies. The validity test technique used is time triangulation and technical triangulation. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman model analysis technique. The results of this study indicate (1) The forms of difficulties experienced by male students are difficulties in planning problem solving and difficulties in solving problems according to plan. (2) The forms of difficulties experienced by female students are difficulties in planning problem solving and difficulties in solving problems according to plan. (3) Factors causing difficulties experienced by male and female students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use, problems, and responses of students to the use of Wordwall as a medium for evaluating thematic learning in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The subjects in this study were teachers and fourth grade students. Collecting data in this study is by observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The validity test in this research is source triangulation. Analysis of the data in this study using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the use of Wordwall as an evaluation medium for thematic learning makes it easier for teachers and students because Wordwall has many features and can be used in all subjects. The problem in designing for teachers is the need for a supportive internet network and the lack of teacher skills. Problems for students include, requiring data packets, being tense, not focused because of time constraints, feeling disturbed if the network is slow. Another obstacle is that students do not have their own handphone to be able to access Wordwall. The responses shown by students include students becoming more active, students motivated in terms of learning, students becoming competitive and enthusiastic.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Pancasila student profile dimension of mutual cooperation in science and science learning for class 5B at elementary school Kestalan Surakarta. This research is analytical descriptive qualitative research. The implementation of the mutual cooperation dimension using the STAD cooperative model in science and science learning for class 5B at elementary school Kestalan Surakarta, which was carried out over three lessons, has been implemented very well by teachers who obtained an average percentage of 81.4%. The teacher has implemented all aspects and indicators of the STAD type cooperative learning model in science learning from opening to closing. The students' mutual cooperation attitude appeared to be very good with an average percentage of 82.68%. All aspects of the mutual cooperation dimension which includes aspects of collaboration, caring and sharing have emerged when researchers conducted observations on students. However, there are still less visible indicators. Thus, further efforts are needed, such as teachers in implementing the mutual cooperation dimension using the STAD cooperative model, should be more innovative and provide more in-depth assistance during group learning. Students should have high motivation, so that they are more serious and actively involved when discussing in groups.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the reading comprehension abilities, barriers, and efforts to overcome barriers to reading comprehension of class V students at SDN Cinderejo Surakarta. This research approach is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques for this research are interviews, tests and observations. The data validity technique in this research is triangulation of sources and techniques. This research uses the Miles and Hubberman model data analysis technique. The results of the research show that students' reading comprehension abilities are at a literal level of 31.57%, at an interpretive understanding level of 28.42%, at a critical level of 28.07%, and at a creative level of 47.3%. Students who cannot understand reading at a literal level will find it difficult to understand reading at an interpretive level, and so on. Barriers to reading comprehension experienced by students are poor physical condition, low student motivation, and a home environment that does not support students in reading comprehension. The efforts made are learning while playing, providing verbal motivation to students, providing a comfortable reading room, getting students used to reading, and collaborating with students' parents. The conclusion of this research is that students' overall reading comprehension ability is included in the poor category, so it is necessary to try to overcome barriers to students' reading comprehension.

Abstract

Learning activities have certain goals to be achieved, this process can be measured by carrying out assessments which is a crucial activity in the teaching and learning process. The main purpose of this activity is to see the extent to which students' abilities are able to grasp lessons in each learning activity. Teachers in this case are also required to be able to develop assessment instruments in all subjects, especially English. Teachers should prepare good and efficient assessment instruments for their students because these assessment instruments will measure student learning outcomes. This study tried to develop effective and easy-to-understand assessment instruments which is used as a reference in assessing the process and learning outcomes of students. This study applied research and development by implementing interviews, observations and documentation as data collection, planning design and conducting limited public trial. The instrument was conducted at Al Husna Full-day Islamic School which. This study produced a reference in implementing English assessment at the elementary school level.
